Hello....can you tell me if this is a better method than running the alternative method you mentioned (different themes in separate subdomains) with specific regard to lightweight resources for quickest loading speed? Thanks!
Thank you man! The funny thing is your example is the exact case I'm trying to solve. I have the Astra theme installed, but I can not disable the mediocre side bar on the theme unless I have the paid version (I'm too broke to purchase that version :D)
Thank you for the clear video! My question, can I use 2 themes on the same page? (One main theme on all the website and only certain features I need from the second theme.)
Can I use one theme for listing and another theme for social & merge? With user having 1 login to get in & navigate to things on both themes ? - how will they connect inside his profile? ( if this is possible) Please reply. Appreciate 😊
nice video, does it carry over the login/profile information across the various theme's. So in your example you login and register on your site home page, you then go across to a blog section, that is a completely separate theme/plugin, will it carry over the logged in status?
Hey Mark, you simply log into your WP admin and from there you install this plugin and can set different themes to different pages. In most cases though depending on what you're doing I would go ahead and install WordPress in a directory. For example websitecreativepro.com/plan-build-promote-profit/ is actually a directory and not a page. I did it so I could install a one page theme as a sales page :)
this worked only issue is when i click on the one page with the different theme when i press edit it chnages it back to my theme all my other pages are on? how come
Hey great video! Can you tell me if I am correct - if I have a wordpress theme which i like but i need to add extra pages which this theme doesn't have (for example "our past work page", or a "members only" page), I can use this Multiple Theme tool to add those extra pages ?
Multiple themes was originally designed for someone who wanted to have one primary theme for their website. But if they wanted to create a dedicated sales page or landing page then they could use a different theme for that.
you saved my money, thank you so much. for some reasons i needed a different theme for my different pages and i nearly thought that i had to create different websites
I was so hoping this was going to work, but it seems as though the two themes I'd like to use just won't work together because of a plugin on the secondary theme. Any ideas?
One thing that has been boggling my mind is how to use this plugin to set all of my products pages to my shop theme and all my blog pages to my blog theme because each new blog post reverts to the main theme and vice versa. It's very annoying. How do i do this?
There us also a newer plugin, tested up to WordPress 5.1.x called "WXY Advanced Multitheme". It allows you to easily assign a theme and template to any post or page directly from the edit screen for that post/page. wordpress.org/plugins/wxy-advanced-multitheme/
@@ChunkyDrew33136 Well, actually I wrote it. I needed a better alternative to what was available. How can anyone get users if everyone is afraid of plugins with low installations? Besides, WordPress repository has reviewed it and checked it for malicious code. The best way to avoid issues is to download it directly from their plugin repository. I appreciate your response, but it is mindsets like yours that make it really difficult to get any tacking at all with new plugins. Feel free to download it and review the code yourself, I am sure you will find it is what it purports to be: a plugin to allow for a different theme on every page or post.
Clarence Bowman, I retract my earlier comment. As you said, everything has to start from somewhere. And from everything I’ve read, anything in the official repository has been vetted. Good luck to you.
I tried this plugin but I get multiple lines of this message "Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /var/www/vhosts/majellan.media/httpdocs/wp-content/mu-plugins/wxy_advanced_multitheme_filter_plugins.php on line 91" Any thoughts on why this is happening?
@@brendan9663 This happens when a variable is not assigned a value. In this case, it was a function trying to get a saved option from WordPress, but there was no current value. I have just updated the plugin to v0.1.2 to address this issue. While technically, it is not a bug, it can generate annoying warnings, so I made sure that if the value is not assigned, it will not throw a warning message. Thanks for the heads-up! I am always trying to make my projects as stable and reliable as possible. PLEASE NOTE: if you update the plugin, you will need to deactivate it, then re-activate to make sure the mu-plugin code gets properly updated.

Im also a new into this but im 99.9% sure thats not possible.
For that, you probably want to make your own custom theme.

Website Creative Pro thanks for the reply I actually was more focused on the end customer (member) as opposed to me the admin!

Do I need to use the multiple theme plugin when adding ListingPro to and Astra theme?

I'm still surprised by the success of this tutorial. I thought it was a bit to specific when making it, but I'm glad you found it helpful.
