Lao Li may be missing in this new chapter but what I like is that this is a true representation of time. Things will not always be what they were and when change happens we just have to evolve and adapt. This is a new chapter for Feli. She has a new house that is more liveable than the old one and a healthy family and I think that is far greater than what we may wish for.

So cute! Fei'er helping mama in the garden like Dou dou used to do before he started school. Mudpies are fun. I liked how Felista took her baby girl by the hand and walked her past the bug staying between Fei'er and the bug. I also like how she taught Fei'er which cucumber to eat and even broke it to make it easier for Fei'er to handle. Nice seeing the friends laughing and joking around. Many children would love to come home finding their ma ma cooking a hot and fresh meal. Studious Dou dou continues to be helpful. Grandpa is happy and proud. Miss Dou Dou so much now that he is at school. He has matured considerably 😊, more self restrained and responsible. Like the back lane where Felista sorts the vegetables for cleaning, a calm place shielded by direct sun during summer. Felista should be more busy with this new house . China recently hosted a China-Africa summit in Beijing. I saw a CGTN news clip featuring a short interview with Rose who is playing an important role in promoting trade between China and Uganda. I hope Felista can play a similar role by promoting trade between Tanzania and China. She speaks Mandarin and Swahili. She has contacts in China (eg fat brother) and Tanzania (eg Brother You in Da es Salaam) and Manji has started to import Chinese goods. Hope that business can grow to involve Du Bin, Zeng and Felista's many siblings. It is difficult to sustain income from social media over the long term. An import export business has good growth potential. ❤

The planet's 8.5 billion population comprises different cultures who approach every aspect of life differently - including child rearing. We are not genetically predisposed to be automatons. This being the case, culture determines how we live and conduct our lives. There is no one size fits all style of parenting. Thus, it is ridiculously sanctimonious to judge the child rearing of others - especially when they belong to different cultures.

Fei'ers pretty white dress never stood a chance in the wet muddy environment 😊 So funny that the water bug Fei'er was scared of seems to have hitched a ride on the back of her dress going home 😂 The chilli peppers are so fresh and healthy unlike the poor specimens we get in supermarkets here. I love the Chinese pickling jars. Felista has renewed my desire to own one and try pickling too.
