The pages are all gorgeous, but your Lots of Dots page looked 3d the way you had added shading. Just because of that picture, I spent a ridiculous amount of money on a new copy of that out of print book (psst…it’s all your fault. LOL). I’m beginning to think I just need to buy copies of every book I see that I think “hmm, maybe I like that” because when I finally go to buy them, they’re out of print-I’ve been looking at Lots of Dots for years, but never bought. Haha

The pan pastels are so expensive. I do own a few but thought I would have more color choice of course with the soft pastels. Thank you for sharing your work!
Hi, thank you for the question and such a sweet compliment. I do use regular chalk pastels on occasion and the brand Pebbles have been pretty nice too. Pan Pastels just have a more intense color payout. They are also easier to apply, in my opinion. They are definitely more expensive, and I just buy a few every once in a while to build my collection. Sometimes you can find off brand sponge applicators on Amazon that work just as nice as the Sofft brand. Chalk Pastels are definitely a way to play and have fun with color, but then maybe just have a few Pan Pastels to play with too. Hope that helps 😊

I did a quick search for it this morning and it seems it's sold out everywhere, or it's a ridiculous price 😢. I would check ebay or other used books every now and then to see if they get one. I'm so sorry. I hate when that happens.

I bought mine from Jackson's art supply because I could build my own set, and buy individuals. I also like the brand Csy Art Gallery metallic paints. Also on Amazon and work great and good price. Hope that helps.
