now we are talking! this is awesome. more blue note 50 and 60s jazz guitar lessons! thanks adrian!
would love to see grant green
This is why I love this channel. The past few song videos have included this jazz solo, an indie/rock tune, a blues classic, and some 70s rock. I will be a subscriber and patreon for as long as Adrian keeps this channel going.
Ditto!
Agreed.
Spot on! The man has a great and diverse taste
Plus one!
Add me.
Among the zillion guitar channels, I realy like your modest, polite approach with excellent song/lick/tehnique choices. Cheers!
More jazz please! I loved the last Kenny Burrell video.
Awesome Adrian, just as us strummers stumble out of the mundane routine of our lives we encounter this gem that 'takes us away' to that sweet place as the weekend unfolds. Another quality video.
my sweet lord, that was brilliant. tone was a delight and so well played
I really like the tone that you're getting with the guitar Adrian, thanks!
That was just outstanding Adrian! I have been following your channel from the start and I have to say, this episode is among my favorites! Really enjoying the jazz lessons as well. Thanks! By the way: I’ve listened to this about six times.
Thanks so much for doing this! Kenny is one of my favorites. I listened to Midnight Blue every morning on my commute for a solid year. Not sure why I’ve never attempted to learn any of the tunes, but now I have no excuse!
His work on Stanley Turrentine’s Hustlin’ record is another favorite.
Thanks!! Now next track is Midnight Blue itself. Been working on that for years. Love the channel. All your work and effort is much appreciated.
This channel is such treasure trove of entertainment and knowledge! Thank you!
You are incapable of picking a bad song to cover. Great, great tune, and of course, you do a great job of playing it and demonstrating how to do it. And you're right, Midnight Blue is a fantastic guitar album, totally approachable for beginner/intermediate players.
I have always loved this tune! You have the best song selections on UA-cam.
Best selection on UA-cam? You got that right and by a long shot.
Thank You...Your a Very Good Teacher and Guitarist.
Adrian!! Stick with even more jazz, man!! This is a brilliant rendition and very well instructed as well!! Two thumbs up!! Jim C.
Oooo definitely more of this please!
I really love Jazz. For the past year I’ve been learning about it, practicing it and getting better at it. Never thought I’d ever go down that rabbit hole.
Try some bebop, its amazing and check out Josh Smith if you want to hear how to combine blues rock and jazz
@@thomaswalton9354 Oh I know, thanks
Adrian played this just Great. So clean. If your into jazz , check out youtubes Sandra Sherman's site called Guitar Versum She's good also.
Those chords are really lovely. Can't wait to have a go at this !!
loving the mood that this delivers - beautiful work
Love this lesson. Very pleasant to play ! Thank you. Very good choice.
Wow, Adrian, that is some absolutely beautiful playing! Love this lesson. I listen to a lot of jazz guitar, including quite a heavy amount of Kenny Burrell, and you bring forth his melodic and harmonic approach so wonderfully. Fantastic!
Thank you, really great presentation I appreciate your attention detail whilst keeping it moving along
You have such excellent taste. I look forward to working this. Thank you!
Wonderful. I love this and would never of found this on my own. It’s going to take a lot of practice to me to master this but well worth it with a quality tune like this.
Thanks Adrian, jazz that I can play. I can't think fast enough usually but I'm half way through and I'm getting it right, so nice to achieve something.
It's funny how these lessons arrive just when they are most needed in my life. Thank you Adrian.
Love this song. Thanks.
Didn't hear a word said, the music was so beautiful. I'll have to come back.
great help figuring this out! thank you :)
Can’t get enough of the Burrell
Fabulous Adrian... My jazz project for the year is sorted..
Really liked this one!
Excellent song choices as usual
Cheers Ben!
Awesome and inspiring as ever.....
Classy tune. Classier lesson.
Rhythm circuit: engaged. Nice work!
Beautiful
Killer video lesson young man !👍☮️
More high quality content. You rock! I mean er.. You jazz!
Great! Love that song since you told us bout Chitlins!!!
Another great video Adrian. Nice to see you doing another Jazz tutorial. How about doing something on Barney Kessel? His work on Julie London's first album is sublime!
Hi, first time watching your channel. You have a good grasp on this piece. I believe Kenny B. never wrote it out. This was the first real piece i tried to play on guitar. Had to tdo it by ear. I like your take , it's very correct. My take didn't have the strumming in the a section, i swept the upper strings and omitted the touch with the pinky finger. I played it finger style back then. Very glad to have bumped into this video, now i have the right version !!! THANKS for that !!!!
I'm pulling out my Gretsch hollow body for this one! Clean into a Fender silver face, plenty of spring verb, can't wait...
Good timing. Just learned the Chitlins Con Carne. While I don't want to be a jazzmaster on the guitar, it's good to know some stuff. Thanks as always.
fantastic lesson my friend
also, actual jazz on a Jazzmaster?! I didn't think that was allowed, haha
@@thejamnasium6447 haha yes, it sounds good, but feels kind of wrong - one of these days I need to get myself a big Gibson archtop.
Nice
Funny, I just listened to that album yesterday.
Not sure why...but it seems anything you play on your JM sound the best. That's not a dis on the others, just that all your JM tracks largely stand out from an outstanding collection of tracks.
Perhaps there's a special affinity with this guitar, above all your others?
Such sweet tones here Adrian. 😎👍
I'm not much of a jazz guy, but this tune is nice, slightly bond-esque even. Thanks.
Yes, definitely - it even ends with the Bond chord!
@@acpg "The name is Master. Jazz Master."
Thank you so much for all you do. Would you consider, please, analyzing Alone Again Or by Love from their Forever Changes LP? Thanks!
"nice" thankyou.
This reminds me of the Fast Show ‘Mmmmm… NICE!..’ But jokes aside, reminds me of Bill Frissell who was probably into this stuff anyway.
Im still a beginner guitarist but i want to learn jaz might have a stab at this
Can you do a tutorial on Novos Baianos - Mistério Do Planeta?
Yessss more downtempo jazz
and you're playing a Jazzmaster 🎸!
I have expected to see James Bond rounding the corner at the casino…..really nice vibe…..
Wish there was tab with it
There is: on Patreon - pay what you like...
Wait someone playing jazz on a jazzmaster ?!
Imagine a 17" archtop on this guy
Lovely, thanks for the introduction and tuition, I will definitely be learning this one.
I have just bought a classic Squire Jazzmaster and the bridge is appalling, can you recommend one please?
Like deployed 👍 (they always were, this is just something that I have taken to doing)
😎🎙🎸✅
Staytrem is the answer.
Thanks Julian. Yes, my JM has a Staytrem. There's actually an old video somewhere on my channel where I talk about Jazzmaster bridge problems.
@@joseortuno8133 thank you 👍
@@acpg thanks Adrian, yes I remember watching it, I hadn't until you prompted my memory. 🤔😷
Look up videos by Puisheen or Destroying Amps Gear Demos for tips on setting up Fender offsets.
At 2:25 there are a couple chords played before what you're calling the B section that are never explained. Not hard to figure out, but it confused me for a while when playing along with the record.
I believe it bounces between xx5775 and xx565x a couple of times.
More jazz ;). Not too much, mind.
I adore Adrian for all the reasons you do, but his beard stresses me out. It seems like it must be a daily nightmare to keep under control. I’ve thought this for 5 years or more and tonight I’m wasted so I’m saying it. Also asserting he’s the coolest guitar man on the WorldWide Web.
Nice
