Those opening chords after the single notes are Major 7th chords on the 10th and 8th frets. Try it and you'll see what I mean. I've seen Clapton play this on live videos since I was a teenager. When it goes to the G chord on the verse, those are regular full major chords.
Just discovered this Band Programme, thanks Andy, this is brilliant! I've been working on several of the songs with friends since my first two years of learning: it's now 3 years since I first tried this actual song and I hadn't done the variations before, it sounds so much better now!
Thanks for this Andy, what a great idea the band play along is, Amazing, I picked up the guitar at 49 and at 50 I'm playing many of the riffs I love - thanks to you! All the best.
So much fun for a basement rockstar like myself! I’m pretty shy when it comes to playing in front of people so this is awesome for practice.
Liking that D'Angelico 👍
And now Robert De Niro is looking at you...smoking his cigarette
Canelo on Rythm
so were you using two Amps? or just telling us about the 2 different Amps?
Just telling you about my settings. I only used the victory, but the boss is more.similar to Beginner amps and many people have a Katana
It would be really useful to let us know the amplifier setup before starting.
This is a really great series for beginners!
Thank you! More intermediate lessons and songs to follow later in this series :)
Brilliant series for Intermediates too!
Great to hear! More intermediate songs to follow! :)
Great lesson ! "White room" would also be a good song for this series.
Can you do an electric guitar cover/tutorial of the good omens opening theme song, by the way, I LOVE your channel it's really helpful!

No one plays it like Clapton, but we can all learn so much by trying :)

Great series, thanks for your help Andy. Great playing by you and your band. I would consider adding a vocalist. 🎤
