I think knowing the HR averages are good enough for me. And what does exercises mode even mean? Videos like you’re mention it but never going depth. 120 modes. Is what the marketing image and copy says it’s doesn’t tell me anything.
Hello, glad you found the HR sensor accuracy helpfu! The exercise modes are the different activities that the watch is capable of recording. Things like running, treadmill, indoor cycling, tennis, badminton, volleyball, etc...different manufacturers call them different things - exercise modes / activities/ workouts / sports.... In my other video showing 9 Pro Tips to Master the Amazfit Bip 5 (ua-cam.com/video/0anH11kNfWY/v-deo.htmlsi=jZWhqSgv-M8LlfnS), tip number 4 shows you how to record other activities like Tennis that isn't visible right away on the Bip 5's activities screen 😀 its got things like Judo and Curling!!!
Thanks so much! The Zepp App shows most stats without paywals. You can also increase the frequency of HR measurement within the Zepp App - no issues with paywalls here too. Other stuff such as Zepp Coach and Weekly Report give you additional insight and stats on top of the free stuff in the Zepp App but don't increase the accuracy of the HR measurement of the Bip 5. Hope that helps.
Hi! Thanks for the feedback. Here's another video showing how to link the Zepp App to Strava: ua-cam.com/video/1anf5BxzxO0/v-deo.html I think the Zepp App is recently updated so might look a bit different than the video. Hope that helps.
Unfortunately there is no way to download maps to view them straight onto the Bip 5. There are navigation apps within the Zepp App that you can download onto the Bip 5, and you can apparently then get turn-by-turn navigation from Google Maps running on your phone onto the watch...however, I spent a lot of time trying to get this to work but it just didn't during my testing period. I wouldn't recommend the Bip 5 for that specific feature as many of the smart apps don't work well on Bip 5.
Thanks! The Zepp App can be connected to Strava to upload Workouts including runs. Check this video out on how to link them: ua-cam.com/video/1anf5BxzxO0/v-deo.html
OLED (individual pixel illumination) is the more efficient display tech vs LCD (backlit panel) & Perhaps the battery is bigger, than what they admit, like 500mA given the thickness of the watch etc. Thank you for the in dept review🤓
Hi! Unfortunately it doesn't have storage for loading offline music and then playing it back. It only has music control functions - you can start or pause the music, switch to the previous or next song, and perform other operations on the music app of your watch. Hope that helps.
Hiya. Yes it's due to the 1.5 m water resistance. Amazfit say: "According to the IEC 60529 standard, the Amazfit Bip 5 achieves a rating of IP68, for a water-resistance of up to 1.5 meters, and is therefore suitable for splashes or snow. It has passed third-party testing conducted by SGS, and the report number is SHES230400733371. Remove the watch when taking a hot shower, swimming, when entering a sauna, since too much steam can affect the seal and make it less water-resistant in future." Hope it helps !
Hi Mate I'm confused between GTS 4 Mini and BIP 5 as both are priced in similar category. Please can you suggest which one is better in terms of health and overall parameters. Any advise would be really helpful.
Hi! The GTS 4 Mini falls under the "Lifestyle" series whereas the Bip 5 is part of Amazfit's "Essential" series which has trimmed down features. Just by looking at the specs, it looks like the GTS 4 Mini has better hardware than the Bip 5, e.g : AMOLED screen on GTS 4 Mini vs LCD on Bip 5, better GNSS location tracking with 5 satellites on GTS 4 Mini vs 4 satellites on Bip 5, better water resistance of 5 ATM (can swim in pool) with GTS 4 Mini whereas bare-bones splash resistance on Bip 5. Software wise it would probably be the same with some minor bells and whistles in GTS 4 Mini. If I was getting the GTS 4 Mini at around the same price as the Bip 5 then yeah it makes sense to go for that as it's a slightly more premium wearable than the Bip 5. Hope that helps 😀
@@thewearableist Thanks Mate. So in terms of overall health accuracy is GTS 4 mini good compared to Bip 5 as I searched on the accuracy part for bip 5 and the reviews were mostly positive. But I'm not sure about the same for GTS 4 Mini. Also is the battery good in GTS 4 Mini. Any advise.
@varunbansal7242 hi! The GTS 4 Mini has Amazfit's Biotracker 3.0 sensor for HR tracking etc., and is an older model (2022) whereas the Bip5 is a 2023 model but amazfit don't readily give out the version of the Biotracker in the Bip 5. Although I haven't tested the GTS 4 Mini personally, see this website (it says the HR tracking is not super-accurate): www.techadvisor.com/article/1932875/amazfit-gts-4-mini-review.html Having said that, none of the budget fitness trackers will ever be "super-accurate", so if you're only after a rough indication of accuracy it should be fine. Also as mentioned, some software features may differ between 2022 models (GTS 4 mini) and 2023 models (Bip 5). For higher accuracy you will need to bump up the price range and go for something like a Garmin. Hope that helps 😀

Hello 👋🏼 thanks for watching! Bip 5 Unity is a newer product than the original Bip 5. I haven't tested the Bip5 Unity (yet) but its running the newer software from Zepp (version 3.0) compared to the older 2.0 version in the Bip 5, so you'll likely see improvements in frame rates, colours, animations and speed. Many of the features look the same but the Bip 5 Unity costs $20 LESS than the original Bip 5. If it were me, I'd probably go for the Unity given the features are largely similar. I don't know how Amazfit have managed to pull this off, but the Bip 5 Unity is now in direct competition with the CMF Watch Pro which also costs $69! Hope that helps 😀
@@thewearableist thanks for the reply 😊 Actually they played a trick ; removed GPS from unity so that the Bip 5 looks still relevant, amazfit is actually creating confusion again. It's getting hard to pick one as Bip 5 has GPS and Unity has a lower price and new OS update with metal frame.
Hello. Yes, there will always be something that will be removed to justify the lower cost of the newer watch (which in this case appears to be in-built GPS). If GPS tracking from the watch itself is important to you (which worked well on the Bip 5 in my experience) and you feel that the feature is worth the extra $20 then yes the Bip 5 would make sense over the Unity purely for that added feature. In the Zepp App, you can definitely start activities and use the phone's GPS but I haven't tested this with the Unity myself as of yet. Hope that helps 😀
Hello 👋🏻 Almost all wearables will under or overestimate steps to an extent due to false hand movements and shorter movements around the house. In my experience the Amazfit Bip 5 underestimated steps by around 700-800 steps compared to the Garmin Vivosmart 5 and Garmin Venu 2, both of which I wore at the same time as the Bip 5. It does not matter if you use an iPhone or Android as the steps count and all other metrics are independent of the phone and app. Ultimately, the steps are only a rough estimate whichever wearable you buy, I wouldn't worry a lot about the steps accuracy. Ah the Apple Watch is a different ballgame!
