Sorry about your Dad. 💔Both my parents are gone so he honestly brought a tear to my eyes when he talked about his Dad and his fond memories of working together. And naturally got me thinking about my Dad who passed in ‘06. He grew up in Rome and graduated Syracuse after the war. It’s truly one of the most beautiful areas in our country. I’m not going anywhere either. Lol Thanks for sharing your thoughts. ✨🕊️💚☘️💚🕊️✨
Must say, a few times, especially with the foundation issues, I thought, “ this is never going to be able to be saved”. So glad you proved me wrong! Phenomenal job!
The last I saw of the cabin you were still pitching out debris from the window and it was snowing outside. You had so much foundation work to do. It now looks fantastic! A dream come true! Congratulations for saving the cabin!
Your mum is super nice. The way she says “I love it bud”. I think she appreciates all the work you have put into it. Even if she didn’t actually like it she would make sure you know how proud she is with the work you’ve done. Really quite wholesome. Well done man! Cabin looks great.
Love it! I watched every second of every video. I was in the ICU in dec, almost died. was on life support for a week. this series got me through the long days in the hospital. Spent all of dec in the hospital 2023. Thanks for the videos, cant wait to see the shop. Just a dude from Indianapolis.
As someone that has only seen this series on your channel so far man, I love your content. The way you make it, including all of the goofiness wth your friend, all the mistakes. That is what makes this good, is not just the end result, but the failures too. I even got my girlfriend to watch this with me, and both of us are obsessed with your little puppy Max . xD Thanks for making such kickass content, for not just the DIY enthusiasts and restoration lovers, but for those who just like watching a man go from having something "unable to be saved" and making it a quality home.
Looks amazing brother. Great work 👍🏻 you should really change the fridge doors to open the other direction. Not hard just switch the hinges 👍🏻 just a thought.
9 mos ago you popped up "I bought an Abandoned Cabin in the woods" I knew I had to watch boy just watching you and your friend at work made it so I couldn't stop watching, you have done an amazing job bringing her back to life , you working side by side with your dad paid off, he is so proud of you just like I am. Many blessings.
Oh, I'd love to see the finish of the whole entire house inside and out even with it. Furnished, that would be so cool. And your father would be so proud of you. You learn to laugh from him. How wonderful you have great memories. He moved the tools just to keep you on your toes. ❤
I’m tardy commenting on this video. If this cabin isn’t a labor of love I don’t know what is. It’s amazing. For so long the interior has been “in progress”, and then all of a sudden we have this! Can’t wait to see what you do with the outside.
I’m a cleaning lady. If you have hard water it will eat the black fixtures in the bathrooms. You can’t use lime away or things like that either. I suggest a really good water filter. Looks amazing!!
Congratulations to you and everyone who helped you on a job well done. We still want more interior updates when more of the finishing touches are done! Looking forward to seeing videos of the outdoor work.
Thank you for mentioning your dad. I feel the same because my pop passed away 3 years ago and when I’m looking for a tool in his garage I ask him and for some reason or another I am pointed toward the area where I find it. ❤
Massive congrats, Been here since ep.1. So awesome to see how much you've restored this cabin. I'm sure your father watching you with a smile the whole way, brother!
Thank you for seeing--and honoring--the promise of this old place. You've given it life again, and it's absolutely spectacular. Yes, indeed. Your father would be overwhelmingly proud.
I'm one of those who came upon your channel looking at home restorations :) I've enjoyed all the content so far and look forward to see what you do in the future - thanks for doing what you do!
I watched from the beginning and binged for 3 days.. you and your crew did a fantastic job. You know a lot about a lot of things! You're a master at your equipment and machinery. Great job! The puppy was a nice touch for Max.
I have looked forward to EVERY single video of this renovation. Your father would be proud. Fantastic work & seeing you ignore the comments saying it couldn't be done was just pushing you further. LET'S GO!!!
Oh my word…what a beautiful cottage you have created! I am so glad your channel popped up when you started the renovation project, but I am here to stay. The memories of your Dad were very touching, and to end the video with a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem was wonderful! Can’t wait to see your next project. Cheers from NC
You and you friend did a great and beautiful job ,I know how hard it is to fix up we did his grandparents home almost 100 years old but it makes you feel good to know you have saved something great job ❤
LMAO!! Too much wood! And that dark floor, to each is own but does not look all that great. Glad you were able to salvage it and it show the hard work put in it.
@@Katzbynite Agree. Didn't care for the floor upstairs at all. TOO dark and so much lovely wood grain lost, but as you said, too each their own and as long as he's happy with it, that's all that matters. Enjoyed the series a great deal.
@@Katzbynite wow. This man put a TON of work into this cabin and youre going to put in your negitave comment. How about you post your sooo much better restore or just scroll past without commenting. Rude
HOLY MIRACULOUS TRANFORMATION BATMAN!!! I AM THROUGHLY IMPRESSED!!!!!!!! WOW!!! At first I thought you might find out that it was gonna end up needing to be a demo job because there was just too much, too far gone... but as the series progressed (I'd say even with the 2nd video) I was convinced it was possible and could tell you were gonna get it done. As to what degree it would end up getting done, I had no idea because I had no idea who you were or your work ethics. But then as winter went on I saw you kicking some serious butt and was debating on whether it would be move-in ready by the end of the summer... and BOOM!!! Not only did you get it done, but you made it look AMAZING!!! I LOVE the dark floor with natural wood all around. I grew up in the woods of South Jersey and my parents home had a lot of wood, so I've grown to appreciate the beauty of wood, but it was all stained a little dark... And I've recently been learning a lot about Japanese wood joinery, their home construction techniques, and how their traditional homes were designed and built. And they use a lot of wood, but it's almost all natural wood and very little staining. And I've become quite find of the natural tones of wood lately too. So when I saw your thumbnail (which totally spoiled the surprise :/ lol) MY JAW DROPPED!!! I was NOT expecting you do an all wood interior. So it just happened to be a but of a coincidence that it turned out that way lol :) - You mentioned filming the kitchen pantry shelving (and doors?) and that being about it for the interior, which it totally understandable... BUT what about the fireplace?? If you have the fireplace and most of the small things like doors and and trim... then you could always add it all to the end of the pantry vid and do one final sweep of the house to wrap up the interior.... (that is unless you decide to put in a proper wood burning fireplace lol :D ) - - GREAT WORK!!!! Be Safe and Stay AWESOME!!!
All of the old ghosts who've been staying there all these years are smiling broadly at all you've done to bring this lovely old cabin back to life! I bet you'll never have to worry about any trouble from the "haints," which is what my maternal grandad used to call the spirits that he -- and I, too! -- believed inhabit every home, from its first day of existence its last. Well done, sir!
Please, please, please show us the inside when you have dressed it up with furniture! It is so beautiful and I loved watching your videos. I can't wait to see how you finish the outside and the property around the house. Your dad would be so proud. Your mom is cute!!!
As I’ve watched every video of the project I feel like I’ve been on this journey with you. So great to see the time lapse and the before and after pics. I don’t need to tell you what a great job you’ve done. I’m so thrilled for you that it’s turned out this spectacularly. And good to see your mom again! She’s adorable. Bravo!
Fantastic job!! Personally I can’t wait to see you put your stamp on the outside of the cabin. Please, for just a bit of peace of mind, put a nice railing on the staircase on the second floor. With the only bathroom on the first floor you don’t want to fall down the stairwell in the middle of the night.🥰
I'd like to see more videos of this nice house. Like finish stage of interior with doors, furniture and so on, plus how will you transform outside area around the house. Magnificent serie of videos, thank you.
I never doubted the cabin couldn’t be returned to a great home. All the wood inside that thing is not going anywhere providing great lateral support. Just as important to the inside is the outside and with a great wooded property I can’t wait to see it complete. Great effort to Max for all his efforts! 👍
Your "pride in work" is without question justified sir.... You have done an absolutely AMAZING job. You still have things to do, but... Projects like this are never really "finished" Thank for taking us along with you on this journey. It has been an educational and interesting video series. Dedicated viewer.
What can I say, just WOW that is one amazing transformation. You all should be so extremely proud of what you have achieved. I joined as the 1st cabin build went up, now im addicted to your channel. Love all the randomness you do with max & the pup.
Your father is watching and is very proud of the job you have done! And you are very fortunate to have such a great friend to help you. Loved watching your channel and will continue to watch.
Thank you for allowing us to be here for your reveal. You have done a terrific job with one of the best friendships on UA-cam. I am sure your dad is proud & happy that his "guidance" has paid off. Your fur baby has been a wonderful help & the new one will help guide you along the way, too. Keep bringing us more of your silly running commentary. It makes the "show" !
This came up on UA-cam tonight. I had lost you. I was glad to see most of the restoration! It is beautiful! I know you do not need to do anymore videos of the restored cabin, but later on, hope you can show it furnished. I would love to see it furnished, and think many others would too. Your Dad would be very proud of you, and your mother loves what you have done. You were inspired to restore a run down vacant cabin, 200 years old, and that is what it took! It is just beautiful! (I would love to see videos of what you do outside too.)-(It was very sweet to show you and your dog at the end.)
Congratulations! This is a lovely tribute to your dear father who is in Heaven. The home is just gorgeous. It is perfect for a one or two person household. Thank you for bringing us along.
@99Projects My son and I can't believe how beautiful this cabin turned out! And can't wait to see what else you have in store for the outside of the property and of course the garage build. You do an amazing job, and you deserve to have that 4.8 mil watchers. Just goes to show you that people are interested in these kinds of things. We will continue to be faithful watchers of your channel. Thank you for sharing all this "goodness" with all of us.
I’ve been watching this cabin since the early days and I truly look forward to the uploads every other week. The interior is beautiful and you should certainly be proud. Seeing it all buttoned up made me appreciate the transformation and all videos that document it. Thank you for all the work that not only went into the cabin, but the videos as well. Here’s to another 100 years! 🙌🏻
My husband and I have enjoyed watching you complete the amazing transformation of this cabin! Warm congratulations to you and your friends on a job well done!!! Can’t wait for your next project to begin!
So proud of you, Luke.....you had me in tears at the end. Beautiful series. Your father is proud and has always been so proud of you and your siblings (all)!❤
Wow! It is gorgeous! I've been watching from the beginning when you were still pulling old shoes out of the walls. I have none of your skills so it has been fascinating watching you and your friend work out all the problems as they popped up and keep at it until you brought that old cabin back to life. Congratulations! You have every right to be proud!! Thank you for sharing the journey with all of us.
This build has been an inspiration. I've always known that if I was ever going to own a home, it would have to be a "fixer-upper / as-is " purchase. This series has inspired me not to give up on that option. Well done, and thanks. I'm really looking forward to seeing the outside come together.
This series of videos, by far, have been the most interesting, and entertaining that I have seen in my 20 some odd years of watching youtube vids! Thank you Sir, and may God bless!
Great series so far. I love everything you've accomplished. And, to end it with the Star Spangled Banner along with the Stars and Stripes flying over your shop, how fitting for the life we are blessed with in the U.S.A. Thanks again. I look forward to what is next.
This has been one of the most amazing channels I've subbed to and one of the most gratifying projects I've followed. To see this transformation and the challenges it took to get here is nothing short of astounding. Never dreamt the cabin would look like this and thank you for including us in the journey! Mad respect from Ontario, Canada
I gotta say man, one hell of a job. I remembered watching the first video when it came out way back when and now i see this? Keep up the good work. You earned all the praise
Wow!! Beautiful! I love the floors and all the lighting in the cabin. I love the front door with the colored glass. I really like the flooring in the kitchen and easy clean up. Frank and Inkey ( my cats, our kids) approve of Mingo, glad Max has a friend. This is so awesome ❤🎉😊
Looking really good,I do remember watching your very first Video on the Abandoned cabin,Looked like an old wreck then,It soon changes when get ripped out and re built,Makes a massive big change,Now looks like a nice home,No longer Abandoned place any more,Home sweet home now
This is so beautiful you and your friend and all those that contributed their products and services to help you. You are amazing. I LOVE THIS so nice. My dad's been gone for years, and I miss him every day he was my biggest supporter as well.
Love love love it! Your mom's right - you did a beautiful job inside! You should be very, very proud. I'm here for all your content and looking forward to the shop build. Will we still see your funny friend? Will there be more burn barrel live videos with the awesome chair? I lost my dad a few years ago so I empathize with your comments about yours. My dad was a master mechanic and I grew up handing him wrenches so I'd like to think he would be proud of my DIY projects and learning to use power tools this late in life. Also, just want to acknowledge that I noticed how much editing this video required - love the ending, too. Hi to Max and Mingo! (still watching from Charleston SC)
I have followed you from the beginning to now & the hard work, struggles you faced & the results are awesome! You & your friend should be proud of what you have accomplished! I have lived watching your videos! Looking forward to what you have coming for us to watch! God bless & take care!😊💜
*slow clap of appreciation* My man, for a description of "I don't know what I'm doing but I have a lot of motivation" (paraphrased) you did an EXCELLENT job. Watching the early episodes of the foundation restoration, I saw you knew what you were doing. I was right there with you in the plumbing "I don't know what I'm doing"... but the electrical I saw... was spot on. One thing my father taught me in electrical was plan for what you think you need, and double the capacity and outlets. I had to show him about adding Cat5/camera cable in the walls, and using his advice for that. I look forward to seeing more of the "mundane" upgrades to the house, you might have a technique I don't know. 👍
It turned out beautifully, though there is a lot of that work I would have liked to have seen on video. I hope you'll show us the final result once it's furnished and lived in. I'm looking forward to seeing the shop project, I always like taking inspiration from others on shop layout and all that.
10 hours after I released the video, I’m trying to keep up with all the comments. I really appreciate all you guys, thank you for all the support.

Get you a pot belly stove!!!
You have done a phenomenal job taking a cabin not fit for habitation and making it absolutely delightful. Thank you for sharing the journey with us.
Love the patriotic ending.🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲 ..NICE..
It's just virtue signaling tho
Loved it thank you !

That’s really kind, thank you guys so much
I’ve been watching this cabin since the early days and I truly look forward to the uploads every other week. The interior is beautiful and you should certainly be proud. Seeing it all buttoned up made me appreciate the transformation and all videos that document it. Thank you for all the work that not only went into the cabin, but the videos as well. Here’s to another 100 years! 🙌🏻
Thank you
Господи! З такого занепаду зробили такий чудовий і затишний дім👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Честь вам і хвала😊
That’s awesome to hear
Great series so far. I love everything you've accomplished. And, to end it with the Star Spangled Banner along with the Stars and Stripes flying over your shop, how fitting for the life we are blessed with in the U.S.A. Thanks again. I look forward to what is next.
This has been one of the most amazing channels I've subbed to and one of the most gratifying projects I've followed. To see this transformation and the challenges it took to get here is nothing short of astounding. Never dreamt the cabin would look like this and thank you for including us in the journey! Mad respect from Ontario, Canada
Just WOW!!! The cabin turned out absolutely stunning!
I gotta say man, one hell of a job. I remembered watching the first video when it came out way back when and now i see this? Keep up the good work. You earned all the praise
thank you
Wow!! Beautiful! I love the floors and all the lighting in the cabin. I love the front door with the colored glass. I really like the flooring in the kitchen and easy clean up.
Frank and Inkey ( my cats, our kids) approve of Mingo, glad Max has a friend. This is so awesome ❤🎉😊
Outstanding work! I’ve been watching since your first video. Seeing how far this cabin has come along is truly inspiring. You should be proud!
Looking really good,I do remember watching your very first Video on the Abandoned cabin,Looked like an old wreck then,It soon changes when get ripped out and re built,Makes a massive big change,Now looks like a nice home,No longer Abandoned place any more,Home sweet home now
I’m blown away with your foresight, skills and perseverance it is incredible and absolutely amazing job xx
This is so beautiful you and your friend and all those that contributed their products and services to help you. You are amazing. I LOVE THIS so nice. My dad's been gone for years, and I miss him every day he was my biggest supporter as well.
I'm so glad you didn't give up, I'm so happy for you, enjoyed watching.
I have no words except AWSOME!
Got it dried in well before winter, nicely done! You can work on the inside while the snow flies, finish up the outside.
I am beyond impressed with your work! Great job.
I have followed you from the beginning to now & the hard work, struggles you faced & the results are awesome! You & your friend should be proud of what you have accomplished! I have lived watching your videos! Looking forward to what you have coming for us to watch! God bless & take care!😊💜
The place looks fantastic! I am so glad that you were able to save this place.
Awwwwww. Love it!!! And love your channel. Keep doing projects! We ll be here 😊😊😊
This series has been an absolute pleasure to watch. I have been fascinated and watched the whole playlist. What an amazing transformation. Thank you
