The funny thing about Ganon up air is that the move is actually nerfed from how it is in SSB4. The move was frame 6 startup in SSB4 (frame 8 in Ultimate), and because it still ends at frame 16, it was more active for two frames, which resulted in the late part of the move hitting below Ganon, which gave him access to stronger gimping and jab locking potential. For some reason, the developers are always so hesitant to giving the character straight up buffs without adding an equal amount of nerfs to compensate for it.
Yeah, Little Mac too. He got a couple buffs for Ultimate, but they ruined his combo game to "compensate". His tilts don't combo as much anymore, you can't kill-confirm nearly as easily, and you can't even do d-tilt into K.O. Punch. Really don't know why they thought that was necessary. He got other nerfs too, for some godforsaken reason.
That is honestly the best way I think someone could describe Ganondorf. So what if he is bad? there is just something about him that always draws people towards him. Be it his simplistic moves, his high level of damage or the sheer fact he is a constant underdog. It's hard not to be drawn to him in some way, shape or form. Seeing the worst character game clutching up victories and even winning against a top tier character just feels so good to see. Excellent Video Brent, a worthy video for the Dark King of Hyrule. The King of Content.
It's because Ganon matches can swing harder than any other matchup. You'll see him just get juggled for 5 minutes losing 2 stocks then completely demolish the opponent in 45 seconds.
Yeah like it’s really impressive to both edit the text boxes and even green screen overlay the enemy sprite with something else. If you want to see a FE edit to laugh at it’s one involving a regular player soldier vs the fricking LANDMASTER!
can we just appreciate how genuinely happy and excited brent sounds throughout this entire video, especially during the ramble towards the end? its clear he absolutely loves playing ganon, and honestly, i find that wholesome as hell :D this is why we love the Brentster.

So many lower tiers would be much better if their strongest moves did more shield damage. To this day I don’t understand why DDD f-smash was nerfed so much. 🥲
8:03 - 9:45 This is exactly how I have always seen Rampardos. Rampardos is the Pokémon series equivalent to Ganondorf. Both are these extremely slow, hard hitting monsters that can be cheesed extremely easily. But they’re both so fun and cool to use/watch. Rampardos is the king of one shotting opponents, and is the hardest hitting Pokémon of all time. But it never gets to do that because of its terrible Speed stat. The only difference between Ganondorf and Rampardos is that Ganondorf can tank a lot of hits, but other than that, they are virtually the same. They terrify the opponent at the mere thought of being hit even once by them, but that’s also so easy to avoid if you outspeed. I don’t know, this thought just came to me one day… I’m a massive Rampardos fan, and so I guess it’s always on my kind lol. If any of you have the time, I recommend watching, “How GOOD was Rampardos ACTUALLY?”
@@kappadarwin9476 You would think so, but the issue is that you would need to setup Trick Room with one Pokémon, and then find SOME WAY to get Rampardos on the field safely, and Trick Room only lasts for 5 turns. And Trick Room doesn’t protect you from priority moves, such as Aqua Jet. And of course, an opponent with a Focus Sash can survive your hit and take you out. But Trick Room or Choice Scarf ARE the best ways to make Rampardos work, yes!
@@asuuki2048That, and while Rampardos isn't fast enough outspeed offensive threats, at base 58 it also isn't slow enough to out-slow truly slow pokemon that are genetally used as defense/support, bulky offense, and offense on opposing trick room teams.
@@terraria_ranger4887 That’s a good point and is an issue, but I do think that base 58 is honestly not too bad for Trick Room usage, especially if your Rampardos has a Brave Nature. I personally think that Trick Room only becomes, well… tricky, if your Pokémon’s Speed stat is in the 60’s - 70’s.

9:00 At least for me, it's fun seeing Ganon for two reasons: 1. He's a low tier, so seeing somebody smacking around mid-high tiers with a low tier is always entertaining. 2. He's strong, but the slowness, I believe, adds to that sense of power by giving us that sense of weight. To use myself as an example, I play a stupid amount of Insurgency Sandstorm, and I have a dedicated revolver setup. It one shots at any distance, but it also feels really powerful because it's a single action revolver. If I miss, it's incredibly bad for me since my fire rate is terribly slow. Same for the anti-material rifles for the sniper classes. It just appeals to the monkey brain XD
