I'd like this subject. I know I missing a bunch of them. I like the card backs because it goes well with certain decks giving them a spirit of elan in my opinion.
@JKing7: The yellow shapes on the german cardbacks, like you guessed, are german WW2 tank division symbols. So they represent real historical insignia like many of the other cardbacks (the animals as well). That fact is, of course, totally unrelated to the subjective perception of the respective emblem or symbol from the aesthetic standpoint. :)
