Taylor is genuinely funny just being himself. He barely tries and he's hilarious. It seems like Steve tries too hard to be funny and it just comes off cringe.

Came here to comment the same. I’ve always said the reason Steve comes off super unfunny on the show, is that he has the cadence and delivery that you would do in a comedy routine. Simply doesn’t work when you’re having a conversation with 3 people
@@auto1nfanticid3 “hey guys, look at all the funny jokes I make all the time! make sure to come see me do comedy for money since you see how witty and talented I am!” maybe it works for some people and they like him but I’m not one of those people. he’ll interrupt someone in the middle of a story to say some dumb joke and maybe it’ll actually make someone laugh or giggle. but overall it never seems worth it and messes up the flow. It’s almost always just an eye roller.

i will say with Venezuela its a little more nuanced than socialism the oil is majority owned by private companies the main issue with Venezuela is that it had/has socialist spending with a capital based economy thats Venezuela's issue

Venezuela wanted to be buddy buddy with the soviet union to fuck off the US and they had to meet certain criteria, they were spending money in a way that was not sustainable since the state didnt have a monopoly on the oil, private companies did and ignoring that the government spent money that it was not making back. if they had different spending or had more nationalised oil they would be better off than they are now. obviously not super well off they are a south American shithole. also in Norway the Government is the largest shareholder in Oil so i think its clear that im not talking about socialism vs capitalism cos both suck theres a middle ground to find and venezeula decided they would do both at once and fuck themselves

Taylor is one of those people I follow that has mentioned more than a few times about having dreams and aspirations of becoming a stand up comic more than a few times over the years, granted I actually don't know how recent the most recent time he's expressed that, or god forbid, he's moved beyond that.
Because I genuinely believe he has the best fucking shot of genuinely making it as a stand up comic out of anyone I've ever seen that's expressed an interest in that, but hasn't made an attempt, or even the ones currently in the trenches trying to claw their way to some level of success or recognition currently.
I know I've heard him mention before that he struggles with writing, the actual putting pen to paper, setup punch etc part of it, but he could very well just be one of the comics that has to CONSTANTLY go up and basically make the majority of his career/material out of the spontaneous shit he comes up with in the moment, always having a recorder going and refining the best parts, or I wouldn't even mind if he straight up lifted his own material from previous PKA episodes to do as stand up. Hell, I'd almost offer to collect what I feel are his best premises, jokes and bits myself and send it to him if he were interested, but that'd require so much re-watching.
