  • Robust, durable and perfectly stretched - our Professional Canvas range.
    Three artists with a shared vision of what makes a great canvas.
    Painters Juan Bolivar, Andrew Salgado and Gordon Cheung produce vastly different works of art, but they all agree that a canvas should be robust and perfectly primed. Our new Professional Canvas range uses the highest grade hand-stretched cloth and kiln-dried, warp-resistant stretcher bars for exceptional durability and a flawless finish. And with a Pro-Stretcher tool™ included with each canvas, you are free to create a surface as unique as your work every time.

    The only canvas I use now is 100% polyester. Preferably in a simulation of organic weave so that it's not too mechanical. Unfortunately I can't find anyone who makes a ready made canvas this way, so one has to source furnishing fabrics for this purpose. They're not cheap but they do make heavy weight polyesters that look like linens. (I chose those that aren't scotch guarded) Being pure polyester they aren't responsive to humidity. They aren't going to swell, shrink, loosen, weaken and rot over the years. These fabrics are made to be durable hanging in bright sunny windows or on sofas that would ruin cottons in a few short years so I feel my paintings have a better chance for the centuries

    When will this be available in Australia? Jacksons Drawing Supplies haven't list it on their website so I'm guessing it's not in the stores.

    I want to buy a few canvas off of Amazon but I hear they fade quickly. I'm scared to pay $40+ to only have it fade in a few years.

    Bought a Windsor newton pocket palette with water colors. The little brush was stuck shut.
    Never bought that brand again.

    Honestly give me a 10 buck canvas from Walmart and I’ll put 150 hours on to it. The quality is in the painter not the materials.

    I liked your content. You need to put out more work! Your illustration really remind me of Oli Mueller. His work sorta reminds me of Bayley Jae mixed with a bit of Andy Warhol! He is a awesome digital artist in the UK.
    Go see his UA-cam out and give the painter a like! 👉 #FreeOliMueller

    so incredibly disappointed that the issue of 'limp' stretched canvas led to this... never mind the new- stretch ALL the canvas properly then tell about options...they listened too late. Loose canvas puts art at risk and many gallery wraps and cross bars do not allow adjusting. If it was tight- that's not the issue anymore

    • @devinmichaelroberts9954
      @devinmichaelroberts9954 5 років тому +1

      What are you blabbering on about. No piece of art is ever at risk from a loose canvas. You can always cut it off the stretcher and mount onto a wood panel. ALL canvas on a long enough time line goes limp or loose and will need to be adjusted, museum conservators have many many ways to do this. Chill out freak show!

    Michael's sells a pack of five during a sale for $20. Since I'm not a rich white guy, no point in worrying about getting into a 'real' gallery.

    lousy art. great copying techniques and all that, but nothing personal. you can google millions of these works and whatnot. just copy after copy. technique does not make art. many of the great artists knew nothing about Albers after him. Looks great of course, but perhaps emptiness is the best description of the present.
