It is a cool little buggy! If they come out with paddle tires for it you will have to get one out on the beach! There is a lot to like with it. Still not a fan of the battery situation but I am working on that! Glad you enjoyed it and take care Fil. Have a great weekend as well!
Looks like a fun little buggy mate! Arrma certainly seem to make some well designed and very durable cars. It done well out there on the track, especially for it's size. Nice to see the woods starting to come to life, fresh green coming through..... spring must be close! I agree with you regarding the battery and charger..... life was so much simpler back in the day when everyone ran NICDs with Tamiya plugs..... 1 size fits all! Thanks again for plugging our latest video this week, we actually picked up another 13 subs..... I think most came over from your channel! Much appreciated matey.🙏 😊 👍 👍 👍
It is a cool little buggy and it sure seems pretty tough. For as bumpy and rough as the track is with very little attention over the winter, it handled it very well. I put in some thinner shock oil and will need to get out there to weed and rake the track and then I think the lap time will come down little. Spring has sprung and boy is the pollen killing everyone! Everything is turning green, if not from waking up and leafing out to the thick layer of pollen that is covering everything!!! LOL!! I am glad the recent video is doing well and I am more than happy to help out! Take care and have a great week!
Ma groma nah! Do do dododo. Ma groma nah! I love this little truck. It's great in the back yard and when I went to Florida last week it kicked butt on the beac and the grass next to the beach.
It is a fun little truck and thanks for the musical intro to your comment! LOL! I am sure it would be a fun one the beach!! I am sure it did a pretty good job of keeping a ton of sand from getting into the chassis. No way to keep it all out but it should be a lot better than a normal buggy would! Enjoy it!
Unfortunately the song will be stuck in my head all day lol. My hobby shop owner is to blame. He's a great guy. I got it home and did a deep dive in cleaning and was amazed at how little I really needed to clean but I was extra careful to get any sand out. The battery thing drives me crazy too but this is the only battery I have that has this connection so far.
LOL, yeah. A little lumpy and bumpy out there for it. I have cleaned up the track since then. Really have not had time to get back out on it but it is in much better shape.
Hi Addam, great video. They do provide everything you need to just take it out of the box and have fun, I am with you about charging the battery. Shouldn't have to purchase a new or specialized charger to charge 4 or fewer batteries. Tthat thing flew around the track like it owned it, took those turns very well. Now the end of the video where it got stuck time marker 17:40 reminds me of a little puppy trying to escape 😂😂😂. Thanks for putting a smile on my face, take care and I hope you have a great week.
I took it out today in the commuter lot with both the regular tires and some hard drift tires! It was ripping on the regular tires and skating around on the drift tires! LOL! It was fun on the track, it did kind of look like a puppy trying to jump out of its crate!! LOL!! I need to get out and clean up the track some so it is not as lumpy-bumpy but the pollen has kept the outdoor stuff to required duties!! Man it is thick out there! I put in some thinner shock oil as well to free up the rebound so hopefully it won't hop and bounce on what bumps are left. I am glad you got a giggle out of the run and have a wonderful week!!!
Nice little Grom. Propriety stuff is a pain. It definitely knew there was a corner there unlike the previous RC that just lumbered over it. Great little RC.
LOL yeah, the little guy did not have the brute force and mass the dump truck had to clear the piping! LOL! The battery is a pain as I refuse to buy a specialty charger for it. I am trying to find a good replacement for it and I have one coming that looks promising. I just hope it fits!! If so it is a budget replacement as I can get two for less than the price of one of these "smart" things!
I have enjoyed the ones I have gotten. The Granite 550 needed a fan on the motor and esc to keep it cool but it was an easy fix. The 3s series are great and run very well on 2s.
Nice buggy. I like that the radio's kept simple, or let's say classical by the functions. The wheels might be better on tarmac, so a second set for dirt would be cool. With the battery and charger I'm complete with you. Have a great weekend Addam.
It is a super cool looking and good running little buggy. For the size it handled the bumpy track very well, much better than any other small on I have had out there. The radio is a good fit for it, no frills but just what you need and it is small to be able to toss in a backpack along with the car easily. The tires look to be a good all around tire and they dug in pretty well on the track but would work great on the tarmac as well. The battery I am annoyed with but I think I may have found a aftermarket on that might fit well. I am going to get it and try, if it doesn't it will fit others. I will let you all know what I find out. Take care and have a great weekend Dirk!
Nice buggy! The smart batteries are expensive as well as the chargers. I invested in a bunch of the batteries and the dual charger for our modern day cars. More so because my kids can charge them by just plugging them in. The charger sets all of its own parameters. Usually charge time is a half hour. They also discharge themselves. Makes it a safe alternative for the boys to use when I am not around.
I totally get it for why they do it. They are a lot safer for kids and in general. As a hobbyist it annoys me when things become proprietary and I am forced to either buy the overpriced items or suffer with sub-par equipment. I loathe Traxxas and their stupid batteries and if they continue along this path at Horizon then I am going to stop buying their stuff to. I know I am being stubborn, it is the principle. Take care Keith and have a great weekend!
Nice work on this one Addam!👍😊 I’m not a huge fan of the kinda proprietary battery deal, but I’ll live with the included charger because I’m not shilling out for a smart charger!😂 It posted some good times out on your track and looked good doing it! I’ve been beating on mine more hard than I typically do and handing it off to the fellas at work to get enough packs in to get a long term review done. Great stuff as always buddy, have an awesome weekend!😃
Thanks Jeremy! It is a cool little buggy and there is a lot to like about it. It looks fantastic and it ran really well. The clipless body system I love and the tight sealing body is great too. The battery is a let down. With either having to use the all day USB charger or buy and smart charger is annoying. I refuse to buy a specialty charger. I am looking for a replacement battery and may have found one, it may be slightly too wide but I am going to risk it and get one. I hope it works out and if not it will run in other cars easily! Looking forward to the long term review on your and I will keep you all posted if the battery works out. Take care and have a great weekend too!
I've been on the fence about the small RC's. I guess because years ago I've had a Losi Mini-T. Not fast probably a little ahead of its time. But now they are neat. I imagine 2 or 3 on your track would be fun.
The small ones are a bit slower and struggle with the grass but one a track or a driveway "track" they are a load of fun! Some sidewalk cahlk to mark out a some corners and it would be a blast. I think with some thinner oil in the shocks and me grooming out the lumps and ruts on the track it will be a really fun one. It looked to cool and interesting to not try one out! The only let down was the battery, not a fan of batteries where you have to buy their charger for it. I am trying to fid a replacement that will fit and I may have, it is less than half the price of the normal battery as well!
The minis are a different breed and are not for everyone. On a decent surface they are a blast, on really rough and lumpy stuff they get tossed around a bit too much. Once they start getting tossed around they begin to do Grasshopper things and dart off in the wrong direction without warning. It is a tough on and I think you and Mini would enjoy one but it will probably boil down to how expensive they are over there if it is worth the try. I am glad you enjoy the run, I did! Take care Craig!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. It is a fun little buggy and once I get the track cleaned up from the winter and spring weeds it should do a lot better out there!
Similar to them yes. It was a fun one and I hope to see some aftermarket support on them in future. It was a fun one and with a few tweaks and some cleanup out on the track it should do a lot better.
Neat little car and like everyone else little disappointed with the smart battery I just don’t understand companies some times if that came with a normal 2s battery they would sell a ton more thanks for the review
I get their side of it, safety and simplicity. Plus the possibility of selling a charger for them as well. I think the change is inevitable that they are going to keep making them less compatible with regular chargers over time. I will either use or buy different batteries or stop buying their products. I refuse to buy a specialty charger just to enjoy a kit. I'll shoehorn another battery in there or get rid of it all together!
Yeah, man, what a nice video, basically a perfect presentation of a perfect buggy! I'm so excited to see when I get mine, so far it just says back order on the website... It did so well on your track! It's the longest wheelbase 14th scale buggy I have seen so far and I just think the proportions are right on it, including motor power. It flew great on your jump! And regarding the battery, I think I might never even take mine in use, I have plenty small batteries already. That proprietary system is just annoying! And a heads-up, as far as I could see on the groups, that tiny little charger things has caused a few fires already. Each time I buy a new cheapo China car, first thing I do is discard the charger, I might do same for this one. But all in all, a very exciting new product in the RC world.
It was a blast to run Mads, you will enjoy it. It is not the fastest thing in the world but has plenty of get up and go and was a lot of fun. Some thinner shock oil should help it on my tack but I am sure they went with a thicker one for the skate park bashers to net destroy it out there! I do not like charging batteries at all on the USB style chargers, I much prefer the tech in my larger chargers as a safety feature. I am looking for a good battery for it to give folks a replacement idea. I do have some tiny ones that will work but want t find something close to the stock size. I found one so far and will give it a try to see if it will fit. It is very close but slightly wider so I am not sure! It is gorgeous little buggy and the clipless body system is very nice and shell fitment is top notch to keep out a lot of dirt and rocks. Take care Mads and hope they show up soon for you!
It was a fun one to run and it ran really well. I swapped the shock oil out for a thinner oil and I think it will do better out there than next time out. Now I have to clean off the track of all the weeds! Arrma has has some good releases recently and their stuff is tough!
It is a cool buggy. The battery is very specific for this due to the space allowed under the body. That is the reason for no balance plug on it. Fingers crossed the replacement I bought will fit in there. I really don't want to be stuck with this battery. I have smaller options that may work too but may limit run time.
It is a cool little one and it looks fantastic and ran well around the track. The battery was a bit of a let down for me but I am working on trying to replace it! I am not sure how well it would fair on the sand. If they come out with tiny paddle tires then I think it would be a must have for you! LOL!
I enjoyed the video. It's a great looking car and I think it would be a lot of fun. Arrma may make a relative cheap charger for the small batteries, I am not positive about that. I have one request and one suggestion. I realize this was a quick vide. But, I would've like to see a quick close up of the esc, servo, fan etc. You probably did this, but I would suggest you turn the steering travel down a little.
It is a great looking and well running little buggy. Some thinner oil in the shocks and it should handle the track a bit better. I refuse to buy specialty chargers, it is a principle thing and a stubbornness thing! I do not like being forced into buying specialty items or hop-up parts just to make a kit work properly. I may have found a replacement battery that will work and if it does then I can get two batteries for less then the rice of one of the smart ones. I can also send this one to someone else using them. I will keep in mind the internal pics in the next video. Not something I really thought of for this one. I will try dialing back the steering one the next run as well! Take care Michael and have a great weekend!
Yeah the small ones struggle bit out there. It handled it well but weeding and raking it out would help a lot too! I have not gotten out there for the spring clean up yet! Some minor tweaks and some clean up and it will be back out there!
Nice little buggy! Aside from the battery, it looks like it's worth every penny. I wouldn't be happy about that battery, either. Too bad it doesn't have a balance plug. I wonder if that could be added easily?
It is a really great looking and running little buggy. Not the fastest thing in the world but has plenty of get up and go in it! The battery thing annoyed me, I am not a fan of the tiny, slow USB chargers and I refuse to buy a proprietary charger for these. It is a hardcase battery so opening it up and trying to add leads is probably going to end poorly or at least be a frustrating and time consuming process. I think I may have found one that may fit. I am going to get it an try and see how it goes. I'll keep you all posted if it works!
Looks cool Addam a bit squirrely on the track probably the tires most likely? For that dumb O I mean smart charger does any of your good hobby chargers have a USB out port on them that may work?
It was a little squirrely but that is fairly normal for the little ones out there. The stock oil in the shocks is a bit thicker than I run normally. I think it causing it to bounce a bit more and not skitter over the lumps like it should. A quick change of that and I will get it back out. I am trying to find a replacement battery to fit in there. I ordered one but it is going to be tight. I hate the need for special chargers, it is one of the reasons I hate Traxxas! I know why they use the smart batteries for safety and all but they need to allow for the use of a dumb charger to work with them! I did pick up a 20watt brick to be able to charge it a bit quicker for now.
G'day Addam😃🙋♀️ What a Zippy little buggy👌, track times were pretty good and that tight fitted body did a great job keeping the dirt out 👍. What a shame about the battery!, that'd be annoying!,the fact that it's too over complicated that the X2PRO won't charge it is rough, I think I'd be pretty annoyed if I got it home and found that out, I'd bin the battery 😠. Thanks for showing an honest review Addam, I don't hate the buggy now but at least we'd know in advance to prepare for the battery. We hope you're having a great weekend mate, hi from Ingrid as well🙋♀️🤠🦘🇦🇺
Hi Guys!! I will keep you all posted on if the battery works out or not. Take care guys and hello Ingrid!!! Have a wonderful weekend!!
@@AddamsPlayground Yeh it was really nippy on your track!. I hope the battery works out for you mate. Ingrid said "awwww Hellooo Addam😍" She was excited to hear you said hello 😊👍
These seem to be really nice rigs. I really like how they pretty much sealed the body to the chassis and this doesn’t allow a lot of debris inside the chassis. The battery issue is a valid gripe I think. Kind of a Traxxas type of thing to do. 😠😂 It certainly scoots along nicely doesn’t it? Like your color choice as well. Would love to see this on a carpet track, I bet it would fare quite well! Have a great weekend Addam ✌🏼😎👍🏻
It looks and run s very well and the clipless body system is great. The tight fitting body did super well to keep dirt and tiny ricks out of the body. Normally I have to give them the "smack and shake" a few time to get most of the stuff out from the chassis. This one I did nothing to see what was in there when i got inside and it was cleaner than many after it clean them up! LOL! The battery thing annoys me. I get what the thought is, they are safer batteries for kids but the forcing you to end up waiting a day to charge it or buy one of their overpriced chargers is stupid and annoying! I have a swollen traxxas battery sitting there now as I have no idea what the charge level was in it and it puffed up some. I refuse to buy another and will be modding the car to take a regular battery from urgenix or something. On a small groomed track or a carpet track it would be a lot of fun. It is a great size to take anywhere and make up your own track where ever you end up! Take care Robby and have a great weekend.
It is a fun little buggy and it looks great! The battery was the only let down of it. Grom is a "little guy" or kind of a "newbie" term. I know the first time I heard it was on the Honda Grom cycle lineup and I think it was a surfer slang for little guy.
@AddamsPlayground 'little guy'...that makes sense! Yeah, the battery thing. I can understand the simplicity of using a 'smart' system on a beginner's buggy, especially with a LIPO battery. I also totally agree that the use of specialized connectors is very limiting. It would be a nice option if they supplied an adapter that would allow these single-lead smart batteries to be charged using a regular dumb charger OR if they provided the consumer a choice of buying the GROM without a battery. Neither will happen...but maybe someone has figured out the adapter/converter thingy? Having said all that, I do own a Traxxas charger, and as much as I dislike their batteries, it is a nice charger. I use it all the time for my larger capacity batteries. The Bluetooth connectivity and app are really nice features, too! I am too old to be bothered to convert everything to XT or EC connectors. 😋
Does look like a fun kit! Pretty great price too for a kit like that. Is it too light? I see it’s spinning out quite a bit so maybe weight is an issue? But wow…it’s pretty quick right out of the box!
It seems to be a very and fun little kit. It is a on the lighter side being a smaller one. Some of the random spin out was it getting tossed around on the lumps and clumps of weeds growing up out there. The rest was me hammering the throttle too much or a combination of both! LOL! It is a peppy little thing and will slide around on the pavement as well. I put in some thinner oil in the shock to help it roll over the lumps and bumps a bit better, it comes with pretty thick oil in there stock. I am sure they do it to save the car from big jumps and skate park bashing that I am sure a lot of them will see. So the rebound of the shocks was very slow so instead of moving up and over the bumps it was getting bounced up over them. It may help, the next track run will tell. I have to get out and spend a lot of time cleaning up the track, it is a complete mess with all the spring growing up on it!
Good point...I'm sure they are going to take quite a bashing at the skate parks. You probably see the issues with the track more than we can watching it...doesn't seem too bad in the video...but then again...a small weed might derail the little guy and we can't see that lol @@AddamsPlayground
Hello, I was wondering what the length and width of your track is? I'm moving to a new home next year and I'm hoping to have enough space to run 1/10 buggies. If I could have something like you have I'd be a very happy man.
Not a problem, it is 42 foot long and 32 feet wide. I made it with 6 foot wide lanes to be have plenty of room for both bad driving and for room for more than one to be out there at a time. The length was just to be able to fit the whole track in frame of the camera. I had more room but did not want it to be too far away to not see what was happening! I hope you have enough room as it is a lot of fun to be able to stroll out back and run on a track any time you wish. It is a good deal of work to get it in but worth it!
@@AddamsPlayground Thanks for the detailed reply. It's really helped me visualise what I'll be able to do with the space I'll have, and I should be good to go. Thanks again 👍👍
Last I'm not a fan of arrma I have three of them how bad are the shocks leaking after the first run So it has two fans one on the ESC and one blowing air through the body
I know a lot of folks say their shocks have leaked but mine are holding up well still on the few I have. I do not run them all the time either so that is probably some of it as well. This one does not have an ESC fan but doe have the fan situated in between the ESC and motor blowing over the motor. So it should be drawing air in from the front and exhausting it out of the back. The motor was hot at the end of the run but not overly hot, it was not overheating or anything like the Granite when I got it.
Hey that's really cool. It's a shame about that battery. Is that a standard size where you could get a non smart one to fit? I think that the thing that puts me off these smaller ones is the fact that I'd need to get different batteries to what I currently have. Nice overview Addam 😁
It is a cool little buggy and there is a ton I like about it but that battery does annoy me! It is more than half the size of a normal 2s pack and the spot it goes in is rather limited. I think I may have found one that may fit and it is half the price of the smart battery so I am going to try it and see if it will work. I think you may be a bit underwhelmed with it being so small and slower than what you normally prefer. It is a fun one but I think until they make it brushless you would be left a bit flat about it.
Looks a great little buggy Addam pretty quick and looked good on track.. shame about the battery, is it possible to modify it to make another fit maybe.. Did you mention before your in the IT security business as a job ? Let me know if your companies looking for anyone UK based, I’m an IT infrastructure mgr by trade.. thought I’d ask hope that’s ok.. ignore if not ok, have a great weekend dude. Pete 🚴🏻👍
Thanks Pete, it was a pretty fun one and it looks super cool! I am looking for a battery to fit it now. There are lots of tiny ones but I am trying to find one that is almost a direct fit, sadly it is a small and odd sized one but I did find one that looks very close so I may get it an try it out. It is less than half the cost of one of the smart batteries. I do work in IT security, take a look at Deloitte UK. I am not sure if there are any openings but They do have a great tech side to them and are a great company to work for. All my work and experience is state side but I know they have locations over there. Best of luck my friend and have a great weekend.
not a fan of the smart charger that came with the groms if you plug it into a decent usb charge port it will fully charge in under an hour. which is pretty decent.
I did get a 20watt USB brick to charge it faster. I am trying to find a replacement battery to get away from it. I have one on the way that should work. I'll keep you guys posted as it is half the cost of the smart battery.
@@AddamsPlayground I just think being the same size as say a wl toys that you can get for 100 bucks that they should’ve made em right around that price. That being said you can’t go to your local hobby shop and get wl parts so there’s that. So I’m a bit torn lol
Looks a great buggy, think it deffo needs thinner oil in it ? But the battery issue would be a big no no from me. If i cant use my batterys in a car, i aint getting one. Hopefully these manufacturers will soon realise this big flaw 😡
It is a great looking one and It did much better on the track than any other small one I have had out there. Some thinner oil should help it skitter over the rough bits instead of bouncing around as much. I also need to get out there and do some spring maintenance on it and kill off all stuff growing on it, that will help out a ton too! This is a very specific size battery and I am struggling to find a replacement to fit it. I may have one that will work, I will see soon. I refuse to be a brand specific charger. I known they are supposed to be safer batteries which is great but to limit me to either a snail charger that comes with the kit or buy an overpriced specialty one is a jerk move. It is one of the reasons I have shunned Traxxas and their idiocrasy!
I have tons of them for smal devices but none that were high output like these need. I finally ordered a few. I also solved the battery problem totally by replacing the "smart" one with a better "dumb" one I can charge with any of my chargers in half the time.
Basically you have an almost useless battery once you change plugs. I guess Arma and other manufacturers think they'll sell more of their $$ batteries and $$ chargers to those new to the hobby who don't know how to switch out plugs. Looks like a cool little RC otherwise.
Yeah, I refuse to buy a specialty charger. It is one of the list of reasons I hate Traxxas. If they continue this then I will stop buying the cars with the smart batteries. I am sure they eliminated the balance port to fit the battery in here but since my main charger refused to charge it, it is going to get replaced by something else. I have one on the way I hope will fit. If it does I will definitely let you all know as it is less than half the price of the smart battery!!
@@bradkalman2353 I have multiple, very capable chargers here. If I cannot charge the battery on one of them and have to buy another one specifically for this battery then it is a specialty charger and I refuse to buy it.
Have you seen the prices of RC cars in regular stores?? There is not a lot of difference in the price now, of course the hobby grade ones are more expensive but is repairable and not a throw-away item like store bought ones. That and little kids can actually learn from these, skills they can actually use in life later on instead of short term entertainment. They get plenty of that already. So I respectfully, whole heartedly disagree with a kit like this or any other low end kit. I don't think a 12 year old needs a $650 4s or 6s basher at all but I do think they deserve more than a chunk if Walmart disposable plastic.
@@richardbrown6762 A Rustler is a great kit to start with, I still have my first one from 15+ years ago and another one and both have seen some abuse. Many repairs and they keep on trucking. Brand doesn't matter much.
@@richardbrown6762 I was not trying to be mean or argue. I am sorry if you took it that way. I just feel tossing a kid a $60-80 toy car that will break in a short period of time and be tossed in the trash is a lot more wasteful and unrewarding. Give them something that if and when it does break they can get a $10 part and learn how to fix something and feel good about it and gain some skills that most kids these days lack. Again, I did not mean to upset you.
LOL, yeah the modern look it not may favorite. I don't mind as much on the 4WD buggies like this as they are not too far away from the 1/8th nitro buggies. For the basher kits I don't mind as much but for the regular 2wd buggies I much prefer the classic rear cab style and not the cab forward of the modern ones. It is no more alien than the Tamiya Dual Ridge I have LOL!!
I'm really loving this little Typhon Grom, it's sweet! Zippy as heck, and Arrma tough, win/win. Great video Addam. Have an excellent weekend.

If so it is a budget replacement as I can get two for less than the price of one of these "smart" things!
Pretty sweet. Funny enough I was just thinking yesterday about possibly getting an Arrma at some point.
I have enjoyed the ones I have gotten. The Granite 550 needed a fan on the motor and esc to keep it cool but it was an easy fix. The 3s series are great and run very well on 2s.
Great review Addam 👌
Thanks Mark, glad you enjoyed it! It is a great looking and well running buggy!
Nice work on this one Addam!👍😊
I’m not a huge fan of the kinda proprietary battery deal, but I’ll live with the included charger because I’m not shilling out for a smart charger!😂
It posted some good times out on your track and looked good doing it!
Looks like it goes well Addam. Not sure about it myself. Like the camera shots on the track dude 😎
Cool video Addam😎 , Nice one💯👍👍 ,
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. It is a fun little buggy and once I get the track cleaned up from the winter and spring weeds it should do a lot better out there!
Very similar to wltoy 1/18 Seems like a realy great car for the proce... Great little runner. Thanks for sharing bud...
Similar to them yes. It was a fun one and I hope to see some aftermarket support on them in future. It was a fun one and with a few tweaks and some cleanup out on the track it should do a lot better.
@@AddamsPlayground Heck ya as long as your smilling brother its worth every penny... I like that size car. Thanks bud
Seems like an awesome little buggy! I do like the from lineup that Arrma is starting to produce
It was a fun one to run and it ran really well. I swapped the shock oil out for a thinner oil and I think it will do better out there than next time out. Now I have to clean off the track of all the weeds! Arrma has has some good releases recently and their stuff is tough!
This is a neat buggy. Don't like the smart charger batteries also but it looks like a standard 1/16 scale 2s lipo will fit in it.
It is a cool buggy. The battery is very specific for this due to the space allowed under the body. That is the reason for no balance plug on it. Fingers crossed the replacement I bought will fit in there. I really don't want to be stuck with this battery. I have smaller options that may work too but may limit run time.
certainly avery tempting car , great review 😊👍
It is a cool little one and it looks fantastic and ran well around the track. The battery was a bit of a let down for me but I am working on trying to replace it! I am not sure how well it would fair on the sand. If they come out with tiny paddle tires then I think it would be a must have for you! LOL!
@@AddamsPlayground yeah i’ve had a few mini bashers get a bit to hot 😂 saying that mark bryan ran a couple of mini and they did fine 🤷♂️
Maybe a little small for the track but looked like a fun rig all the same. Nice over view Addam. Enjoyed it bud.
Yeah the small ones struggle bit out there. It handled it well but weeding and raking it out would help a lot too! I have not gotten out there for the spring clean up yet! Some minor tweaks and some clean up and it will be back out there!
Thats a fun and cool little rig. Pretty zippy around your track too! Didn’t know they make them in this scale. 👍😊
It is a cool little one and it ran pretty well. If they end up making sand tires you may need to get one! LOL!
G'day Addam😃🙋♀️
What a Zippy little buggy👌, track times were pretty good and that tight fitted body did a great job keeping the dirt out 👍.

@@AddamsPlayground
Yeh it was really nippy on your track!.
The buggy does look like a bunch of fun! Do we know what "GROM" is supposed to mean? Is it an acronym? ...is it just a marketing name?

I'm not a fan of arrma I have three of them how bad are the shocks leaking after the first run
So it has two fans one on the ESC and one blowing air through the body
@@AddamsPlayground thanks Addam that’s awesome to have passed on this info will take a look cheers buddy.. Pete
not a fan of the smart charger that came with the groms if you plug it into a decent usb charge port it will fully charge in under an hour. which is pretty decent.
I did get a 20watt USB brick to charge it faster. I am trying to find a replacement battery to get away from it. I have one on the way that should work. I'll keep you guys posted as it is half the cost of the smart battery.
Although I think they’re overpriced, I think they did a good job on the groms
I did not think it was too bad for a fully RTR kit. granted for a few buck more you can get a Gorgon RTR or for the same price the Gorgon truck alone.
It’s 2024 you should get a usb-c charger 😊
@@AddamsPlayground All my Traxxas had their plugs swapped out immediately. Good luck with a new battery plug. :)
Buy a s155 charger from spectrum $60-70 bucks and some ic2 ends that attach to ic5 terminal. That should help with that battery.
I refuse to buy a specialty charger. I will suffer with the slow charger or sell the buggy if I cannot find another battery to fit it.
@@AddamsPlayground it's not a specialty charger so something they offer at a reasonable price.
@@bradkalman2353 I have multiple, very capable chargers here. If I cannot charge the battery on one of them and have to buy another one specifically for this battery then it is a specialty charger and I refuse to buy it.
Calm down and enjoy your car don't over react 😂😂
It is a great little buggy. I still hate the battery, I have gotten some nice dumb batteries for it now and I am much happier.
You need to get rid of all the grassy stuff off the track.
yes, I know this
Little kids need to get a rc car from Walmart and not a hobby shop 😮😂😂
Have you seen the prices of RC cars in regular stores?? There is not a lot of difference in the price now, of course the hobby grade ones are more expensive but is repairable and not a throw-away item like store bought ones. That and little kids can actually learn from these, skills they can actually use in life later on instead of short term entertainment. They get plenty of that already. So I respectfully, whole heartedly disagree with a kit like this or any other low end kit. I don't think a 12 year old needs a $650 4s or 6s basher at all but I do think they deserve more than a chunk if Walmart disposable plastic.
If you have plenty of money to spend go get your kids a Traxxas and give it to them

@@richardbrown6762 I was not trying to be mean or argue. I am sorry if you took it that way. when did buggies get ugly? They all look so ugly to me compared to the old school ones.
