That untextured square is something that's commonly used by developers as a means of manipulating an entire complex object at once, rather than piece-by-piece. Like in Halo's Forge mode, you can grab the entire model and rotate it, but collisions between the separate parts of the model can make rapid motion difficult. Making the entire model solid, _then_ moving it, is effectively the purpose of those squares.
As they exist in areas the player _usually_ can't access, they don't need to be erased for the full release.

I wish it were just that they go there a lot and the internet is easily bored, but I think some of it has to do with AH suffering a lot of the same old problems w/ no airfield spawn + R*'s complicated noise.
I don't disagree, I love all the airport videos! But safe to say everyone _and_ AH is tired of how the terminal spawning makes set ups take so long (and a bunch of other obstacles on the way back; Simeon vehicles, Gavin's cars getting stolen by muggers/just disappearing, spawning w/ a wanted level, when that stupid big airport van that barely fits the ramp is the only car around, etc).
BUT at least now that R* finally added airfield spawning, there'll be way less obstacles + more time to get back to the game itself. (IMO this will make the airport videos even better!)
EDIT: Again, this is all pointing the finger at R*, not AH or any of the fans.

Man, they could make so many heists just utilizing the assortment of cars and planes that have been added to GTA over the past 6 years. They did mention on Off Topic that since criminal masterminds isn’t working, they are thinking about doing crimmy but with their own heists.

Can I just say this would be the greatest plane for a heist? The thing is obviously very durable, has turrets, and would be fun to watch them attempt to steal from the military base. Could you imagine other AH members flying in Lazers to bring down the Babushka while Michael, Jeremy, and Gavin try to kill them with the turrets, Jack flies them to their airport in Los Santos, all in an attempt to sell the plane to buy a completely worthless vehicle for a future heist (a dump truck).
The rc car has more explosive resistance. Let that sink in.

Looking at the footage. Especially Jack's footage. It seems really hefty and durable against collisions. Which consider AH seems to be the important part.

What is the point of opening the cargo bay if you can't put anything in there, or even walk in there. Same criticism, though less strong for the Titan, which deserves upgrade options (like an AC-130).
Rockstar did some shit that broke it, you can put cars in it if you remove all upgrades from the plane
it wasnt some shit that broke it, it was some intentional shit because people were using it for biker businesses. it makes it easier/possible to do them without club members helping you. soooo they nerfed it so only the bone stock version can do it, sooooo making it even slower than it already is, and mmaking it super hard to take off in tight spaces without the jato.

I think my favorite open world videos from AH are ones that just take place in a single area. The smaller, the better. One of my favorites is a very early one where they're on that roof with the half-pipe. Occasionally you'd cut to someone in a jet as they prepared for a fly-by, but primarily it was just on a roof and the street in front and beside it. I dunno why that's my favorite type of GTA (etc) video, but it is.
I like that Gav spent all the money on that plane and couldn't use it.
I like how Jeremy purposely stopped his bike to grab gavin's money from the mugger just to say "I think I grabbed gavin's money"
