  • What is Design for Manufacture and Assembly? It is a sub-category of concurrent engineering that involves stake holders throughout the design life cycle.
    In this video I discuss the design-manufacture paradigm, the definition of concurrent #engineering, the benefits of #DFMA and how to manage a #DFMA team.

    You have turned the table around for keen learners with your highly expressive and organised presentation on the Part One video. I am looking forward to listening to the Second chapter on this. Thank you!

    Brother, I've clicked the subscribe button on far too many UA-cam pages to date. Fully watching and listening attentively to this particular instructional video has me feeling like I can take on the best and brightest universities in Africa, Austria, Russia, China, India, Japan, Germany, Israel and M.I.T. Thank you so much brother. You are the most intelligent online instructor I've ever encountered here on UA-cam (and just for the record, I've encountered dozens of highly intelligent PhD's, industrial moguls in various languages and innovative high tech open source platforms).

      Thank you sir! I'm humbled by your compliments. I put these videos together hoping that they make a quick reference for people to supplement their classes or for people that need information in a pinch. It's always good to know that my videos are helping people.

      @@infinitymfg5397 Most welcome!
      Can I sign up for it or is it for the grad students of a specific university?
      P.S. Is there a general rule of thumb on what you should choose or how to choose when deciding between lower part count versus less but more complex parts?

    Hello Professor Cummings this is your virtual student Harold Simpson as a Sr. Quality Engineer I find this video to be invaluable, as it touches on most of the concern I am dealing with ot expose to on a daily basis.
    Is there a way I can get the slides. I have watched this video over and over as it is that good and important to me.
    Again many thanks sir.

    • @infinitymfg5397
      @infinitymfg5397  6 років тому +2

      Hi Harold Simpson! Its good to hear from you.
      This is part of a paid course that I teach for the university so the only way to get the slides is to be part of that course.

    I've started a product-based company, and would greatly appreciate advice, critiques, and recommendations as I go through this process. Are there any resources you can recommend for someone in my position who doesn't have experience in the design or manufacturing arenas?
