We live in a populous suburban area but love vacationing on lakes in secluded mountain areas. It’s truly amazing the amount of stars you can see in these areas versus home. Not to mention all the shooting stars and satellites.
our friends camped out for almost a month on the land they bought before they built, changed their minds over a dozen times on where the house was gonna be and which way it was to face
Excellent experience.. take everything you want to be comfortable. If you don't, it isn't fun or enjoyable. It's in the truck when you need it, bring it!
I love watching your homestead videos. I especially like the music that you've chosen. You and your wife remind me a lot of my wife and I, we're both in our 30s but we have four dogs and no kids, instead of a homestead we just have a home in the city and then a family cabin in northern Wisconsin where we ride our Polaris ranger. You do great work and this others have mentioned your cinematography skills are top notch. I look forward to watching you and Kelsey grow over the next few years and turn your property into your dream property. Take care, Josh
Really nice video - and my Westie fix to boot! Here in the St. Lawrence Seaway, we have to check the dog over for wood ticks / dog ticks every time he's out - but at 13 yrs he's happiest when he's outside with us. Nexguard Spectra is the chewable med prescribed by the local vets ... can't quite see you spraying 40 acres for ticks. I can't imagine my Joey spending the night in a tent - he'd be whining or whimpering at all the night noises, so I doubt you got much rest that night (times three)! Looking forward to Ernie's story.
Camping is great fun. Your narration just draws us in to the whole experience with you. I knew you had a sizeable property Ryan but until you went for the wood and back it put a different perspective on it for me and the area. Lovely to see the wee dogs oot too. Brilliant Vid. Keep them coming young man.
Love this series! My wife and I have 120 acres of farmland we are looking to move out to sometime in the future. These videos get us really excited about it.
Very relaxing out in the sticks. You must of done this awhile ago due to the weather and still seeing corn? I'm having lots of fun with the matching blower, can't believe the weather the last couple of days. Have a good turkey day and holidays!
Really awesome to watch, I am happy for you both building your dream and watching it all come together, thanks for taking us along for the ride. Ryan I find your voice really pleasing to listen to, this is a great series to follow, all the best to you guys.
That's like my goal of owning many acres of land and spend the most absolute priceless time enjoying your land with family.. From your new friend enjoying watching your video 🙂👍👍
Check out Gazelle tents if you’d like to do this more often. Very fast set up because you don’t have to mess with setting up the poles and putting them through the tent.
Very nice video Ryan, CW would be very proud of you....... always remember, set up first thing then play after, makes you not have to worry about it getting dark during set up. Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Ryan no disrespect camp when it's cold then, you will appreciate your new house on the 40 acres. You have something very, very special. Love all the vids on both channel.
Thanks for taking me camping with you. A bit different than the last time I "camped" courtesy of Uncle Sam (I'm retired Army). 😀. Have a Happy Turkey Day.
Been meaning to comment this: on another channel I saw this brand called throttlemaxx, it's like a pedal extension. Maybe it will help kelsey with throttle control over bumps in the utv. Also, apparently taller people like the angle it creates for them to use as well. Worth a consideration I think.
A nice small RV would be clutch for you guys , not just now to have at the property while you are building, but also for future travel adventures away from home
I'd bet Joey, Fiona and Ernie appreciated being in the tent with you instead of being coyote bait 😂 Glad you and your friends enjoyed your first overnight at the new property. The washer tub as a fire pit is an awesome idea! When I go tent camping, I've always made the first order of business to get the tent set up and done so you don't have to fiddle with poles in the dark. Makes the rest of the tasks much easier. Might be a good idea to start stacking a cord or 2 of firewood, good to get them drying for the next season.
Great video guys. As someone who does photography in Western Australia I can honestly say it’s taken me well over a year and several trips to get organised, and I’m still making changes. It’ll come. You can’t beat the experience - or the bugs 🤪
Plenty of wood out there for a campfire too! True that though, it takes a while to prep for outdoor camping haha! Looking forward to learn about Earnie's story! Also the camera focus is insane bro!
That’s awesome, l really like to camp 🏕 myself. It is draining though I will say all the work that goes into it, man it is tiresome. Those are the best times to see clear skies and it is very peaceful. Happy Thanksgiving 🍁🦃 to you and the Fam.
Great video! I can say from experience RVING with 10 dogs They will adjust and love it. Best to keep the grass cut short you might want to spray for ticks too. Bettrr start thinking about that 2nd container for personal stuff.... Go vikings
So cool guys!! The dogs look very intrigue! If I remember you used to play guitar, right? Or still do? Take that out some night and do some strumming, I bet that would be very relaxing. Happy holiday!
Great video Ryan! Your puppies need a big buddy to hang with and to protect them…..German Shepard or Bernese Mountain Dog would fit perfect in your family. Happy Thanksgiving!
Great video. What happened to the white Ram? I love my Ram and I have had it since 2015 and now have 106,000 miles on it. I will not get rid of it for nothing.
Great video, Ryan. Is it as tight in that container on the sides as it looked when you backed out the UTV? It looked like it might be fun getting into the vehicle without being able to open the door all the way. Great stuff! Cheers!
Your new vids since the new property and are so relaxing.. your voice over the music.. the editing.. all on point.

Thanks for the support! I appreciate the kind words

What a great piece of land! Never let any developers come in and sway you into selling it. We need to preserve as much of nature as we can.

Now this is what i'm talking about. Nothing like an open fire and sleeping under the stars in the great outdoors.
Sweeeeet…..Lions, Tigers, Bears oh my! Looks like a ton of fun brotha. Coach “J”
You're cinematography, editing , voice overs and music sections have evolved so much! I really enjoyed this episode!
That had to be a great experience for the first time overnight on the new property.
That Golden Kiss 👌🏾❤️🌱
Love this series! My wife and I have 120 acres of farmland we are looking to move out to sometime in the future. These videos get us really excited about it.
This series is absolutely “must watch”. Thanks for taking us along. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
Love it! Looked like a great time!
Very good video looks like a great area for the home
Hell yeah! I bet those stars are a sight to see for sure! Too cool.
Thanks for taking us along. Cant wait till all your project at the new place is done. You and your wife have a very good vision on things. SKOL!
Very relaxing out in the sticks. You must of done this awhile ago due to the weather and still seeing corn? I'm having lots of fun with the matching blower, can't believe the weather the last couple of days. Have a good turkey day and holidays!
The corn is still in actually. Apparently they don't want to harvest it this year 🤷♂️
It's a good video. I'm looking forward to the next one.
Really awesome to watch, I am happy for you both building your dream and watching it all come together, thanks for taking us along for the ride. Ryan I find your voice really pleasing to listen to, this is a great series to follow, all the best to you guys.
Blessings this holiday season. I truly think a 5th wheel is needed. But it all takes time
Love your channel and have learned so much! So excited to see future videos of the progress on your new property! Thank you!
With you on the camping prep work observation! Thanks for taking us along!
Absolutely awesome! Congratulations! Hopefully I'll be able to ask some serious lawn leveling questions.
That's like my goal of owning many acres of land and spend the most absolute priceless time enjoying your land with family.. From your new friend enjoying watching your video 🙂👍👍
I’m glad to see you and your family so happy on the new property. You all deserve it!
Ryan: *loves craft brews*
Also Ryan: shows off his Keystone Light
🤦🏻♂️ 😂
Always smooth
Check out Gazelle tents if you’d like to do this more often. Very fast set up because you don’t have to mess with setting up the poles and putting them through the tent.
I'll check that out. Thanks!
Very nice video Ryan, CW would be very proud of you....... always remember, set up first thing then play after, makes you not have to worry about it getting dark during set up. Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Great video and I love your three babies!!
Looked like fun Ryan! But yes lots of prep! The more you do it the easier it will get.
New truck? I thought I remember seeing a white Dodge
Traded my white one
@@RyanKnorr I was wondering the same thing, would like to see more about the new truck!
Good stuff!
Maybe get a used small trailer. That way all your stuff is there. Come and go whenever.
Ryan no disrespect camp when it's cold then, you will appreciate your new house on the 40 acres. You have something very, very special. Love all the vids on both channel.

Don't forget bigfoot Ryan that got me out of my friends tent when I was 10. We slept on the family room floor.
Really wish you would've gotten a starlight timelapse with the low light pollution 😫
Next time!
Looks perfect!
The view is worth all that packing!
Great vid. Thanks for taking us along for the ride! 👍
It looked like a nice, relaxing time. Take care!
I’m ready to spend the night again, but next time I’m bringing a smaller tent 😂😂😂😂

Enjoyed the video. Happy Thanksgiving
These are great videos Ryan!! Have a great Thanksgiving!!
36 years old!? I literally would’ve never guessed that. I thought you were around my age of 25. Crazy
That's at least moved up from "I would have thought you were 16!" so progress is being made haha
Great video! Time for a she shed in the shady spot. A small cabin would be awesome there
Maybe we can get CW to finish that before he does his
A nice small RV would be clutch for you guys , not just now to have at the property while you are building, but also for future travel adventures away from home

Working on firewood this week while it's still nice

Nice video Ryan. I still watched even tho the Vikings beats greenbay Sunday. I'm a Lil sore yet lol
You do a turkey day video? Maybe last lawn mowing?
Envious that you have your own place like that where you can get away and still be your home.
Damn nice truck Ryan.

Wow! You've never even camped and you bought all that land?! Talk about jumping in head first. Beautiful property though. Thanks for the content!
I see another Westie - congratulations! Who is the new addition??
Ernie
@@RyanKnorr what a cute little fella! Welcome to the pack Ernie!

Traded
Also lesson : put tents up before dark 😂 🏕
Keystone boyeeeee
First Aussie 😁
Did we just skip over you getting rid of the white Dodge?
That was 3 videos ago I believe
@@RyanKnorr dude, I watch every vid! Idk how I would’ve missed it. -->going back now
How many acres again, Ryan?
40
Just needs a telescope next time ;)
What dog breed is that?
camping list.
tent, bedding, agm battery for power, hotplate, paper plates. 12v fridge
5 min in the car, done.

It's fairly tight but doable
