@@lightningjadejavier Not necessarily. This whole arc of Yu Dao calls back to when Iroh teaches Zuko about lightning bending and redirecting lighting. Iroh’s teaching of drawing from multiple sources to become whole and powerful, instead of rigid and stale. I wish the writers would’ve called back to that moment at some point.
I do think this series was more subtle than that because everyone was following Irohs philosophy. Earthbenders being part of the fire nation and earth kingdom citizens practicing airbender philosophy, and a fire bender living a peaceful life in an earth kingdom tea shop.
You know, just looking at this, i realize how much both Aang and Zuko really got the short end of the stick when it came to their respective family/mentors.
The previous fire lords of course did so shitty because they were running the world and fucking conquering. But Aang especially the past 5-6 avatars were so incredibly shitty almost all of ATLA was a bunch of subplots indirectly caused by an old Avatar that aang had to clean up. On top of that Aang didn’t even do that good as an Avatar either, since korra had to establish the balance between non benders and benders.

@@comandantethorn9929I like the idea that the Avatar is never perfect, and that even if there's no real "destiny", each Avatar has to fix their past life's mistakes. That fire avatar focused hard on beaurocracy, which helped the Fire nation get out of a depression, but the other nations then started to have major unrest, Yang-chen helped with the bandit problem, basically creating years of peace, but fumbled in leaving people in power who definitely shouldn't have been, leading to the bandits/pirates that Kyoshi dealt with, her actions short term peace (and created the Dai Lee), the short peace caused the Water Avatar (forgot his name) to not really take anything seriously, even when things got bad, and that led to the rise of Sozin, who Roku played hot and cold with, who Aang had to deal with, whose decisions led to the problems Korra faced, who caused all the old Avatars to basically die I assume the next Earth Avatar will be dealing with that in season 1, maybe deal with other things that Korra didn't pay enough attention to I didn't explain this very well, but there's a video from Hello Future Me that talks about it, and it's really cool

Same same and just learned these were here today. Comics are so much work I just usually don't. I can feel the pain and confusion from these VAs, and parts of these three episodes were absolutely heartbreaking to watch even kind of knowing what was going to happen. And I know the search for Ursa will be another few gut punches besides. These guys deserve happiness, they've already been through so much… But the world took 100 years to get thrown this far out of balance, and it'll take another hundred to put it back. The Gaang will work to set it right as well as they can because they can, even if it take a lifetime and more. They're all the best. 😭
i have to say i really enjoy the sound design of this. its one of my favorite parts of the original show and its really impressive how its added here. this wouldnt be the same without appa's roaring or the music that plays around momo.
So basically, they’re saying that Sneers have found someone who’s like him? It can be both rewarding and challenging if your significant other thinks and acts like you. I hope I find someone who doesn’t remind me too much of myself. 👍
When Zuko mentioned that the Morishita family being normal that didn't challenge each other to an Agni Kai whenever they agrue, it's really heartbreaking conisdering Zuko's experience with his own family. Despite being a Fire Nation Colony and with all it's problems with at time the Earth King People not sharing in the equality with their Colonists, both the Fire Nation Colonists (who were even discriminated by mainland Fire Nation citizens) and the Earth Kingdom residents already there found a strong sense of community despite coming from two different worlds. Zuko wanted peace, but yes he was the Fire Lord, what do you do? Side with you're people to save them from deported or sell them out to the guy you want to make peace with. It only took Earth King Kuei to come to his senses to give it a chance. Without it the Hundred Years would've added another year into it's infamous name. In order for peace to work, both leaders were needed in this decussation if both goals are to achieved. And they both stepped up by putting their sense of tradition and finally understood what was going on for the sake of both their respective peoples (after years of fighting in a war that is now over) and the people of Yu Dao (who don't want to abandon their homes). It was test of leadership for both Zuko and Kuei, leading both men to do the right thing and made peace, while letting Yu Dao and many of the colonies share in it, which paved the way for Republic City.
I agree with all that was said. Though, I do think that it was wrong for the rest of the Gaang to turn on Zuko so quickly, instead of hearing him out. Aang agreed to kill Zuko relatively quickly compared to Ozai. In my opinion, I believe Zuko (and Katara) were the only ones that understood the situation right away.

This part of the story shows how struggling it can be when adapting to a whole new world where ideals of the past are either non-present or has shifted. Furthermore, the next generation were born in very different circumstances than those of their parents. Their grandparents, even. Like how Steve Rogers came back after being on ice for more than 70 years that only a handful of people can truly understand him when everyone else is fed up with his “antiquated” sense of morality. What Aang was going through when he saw those girls giving themselves air bending tattoos in their attire is justified. While it is nice that there are those who truly appreciate and respect a culture that is unique in every way, you can’t exactly say that you know or, at least, understand something that is totally unfamiliar with you. Hence the frustration he gave when they told him that they used ink instead of paint on their heads. However, he understood that it requires different voices from many people of different backgrounds to achieve not just harmony, but coexistence as well. When he destroyed his link to Avatar Roku, it was like he moved forward and let go of the past. From there, he accepted the ones who admire him and his philosophy that ultimately made them into his disciples and with that, his knowledge of his people will never die. As for Zuko, I’m surprised that it took this long for Aang to finally realized that he’s descended from his predecessor that even now, he’s still struggling with his inner compass. Therefore, Zuko finally understood that every decision he makes is his and his alone, thus no else should be carrying him forward or his burden, at least. From their conversation, I always felt that Aang and Zuko were more than just good friends, they’re brothers and they should look after each other till the end.
That’s Lucia Lobosvilla! I think she also voiced Azula for some Nickelodeon ads back in the day. She’s a great voice match for Grey! Happy to have her.

Thank you so much! That’s Chara Lin as Ursa and Lucia Lobosvilla as Azula. They work hard to get their character voices right, so that’ll mean a lot to them! I’ll pass along your kind words. 🤗
Really incredible work from everyone! Excited to see the places we go next!
This is so amazing to hear music and voices of comics! When I heard UNCLE IROH theme and his words... It give me a chills!
😭😭😭😭 IT ALL TURNED OUT AMAZING. And thanks for having me back again for Smellerbee!
Dude the azula voice acting is on point yo
While I know there are so many limitations on what can be done from the static images, soundwise this is masterfully produced. It was such a nice experience and definitively if I didn't watch the screen for a second I could think the show was back on tv. That's not to say the added effects were pretty good and definitively added to the experience. I hope you do the search as well!
Thank you so much. Audio team worked hard to make the story come to life. I’m sure they’ll appreciate this. We have a couple more episodes before we do the Search, but we have a few surprises on how we’ll adapt it. Check this video:

28:18 damn- katara's words got me near crying DDD:
That’s Stephanie Pines as Katara! I love how she did that scene too.
I just discovered this channel. Excellent job dubbing it and the editing was VERY good. I loved watching them. Thank you for producing these the comic series in video. It felt like I was actually watching a nickelodeon sequel.
Thank you so much! We're glad you enjoyed it.
This is just stunning! The amount of effort and time you must've put into it really pays off :) I just loved every minute. I mean, almost an hours felt like 5 minutes. Again, amazing job
That was so enjoyable the voice actors gave breath taking performances. In particular I just loved how you captured Azula's charater so well, from the inflections to the tone and Dynamics, and don't get me started on the laugh and the insane sinker towards the end which added so much tension and anticipation. This was absolutely phenominal, you guys have truly done an amazing job bringing these comics to life, And I simply can't what to see what else you all have in store for us. Thank you all a bunch, we're all rooting for you.
i’m literally so invested in this channel like i love atla and i wanna read the comics but i can’t buy them so this makes me so happy to be able to know what happens on the comics
In the last few minutes, Azula showed, and i can hear the insanity in her voice, when i paused to comment the screen blurred mid-scene
Shii that azula voice actor is literally perfect
That’s Lucia Lobosvilla! That’ll mean a lot to her. I’ll pass along your kind words! She is a real perfectionist when it comes to voice matching.
@@Book4Airwait what happened to iroh
Azula voice is perfect!!! Made me smile
Thank you! That’s Lucia Lobosvilla as Azula. I swear she sounds just like Grey even when she just talks!
Rest of the world:war going on🪖🪖🪖
Water tribe:just chilling🍷🗿
That Boba tea joke at the end was top notch 😂
0:43 this gives me goosebumps every time
36:36 he pulled a kyoshi. You can tell kyoshi was channeling specifically her energy through him lmao
Kyoshi: Remember Aang. Only justice will bring peace.
Also Kyoshi: My fists are called Justice and Peace!
remember guys Kyoshi is all about justice and Yangchen is all about violence
48:01 It's cool of Aang to rebuild his nation & culture (even if they aren't air benders or nomads by birth)
youve made me the happiest person alive by creating these, it feels like the real show. I wish they would've continued though.
Okay that Azula Voiceover was TOO on point! 😖😖😖
Thank you! That’s our head writer Lucia Lobosvilla as Azula.
@@Book4Air She is PHENOMENAL!!! Never fire her!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
This part of the story shows how struggling it can be when adapting to a whole new world where ideals of the past are either non-present or has shifted.
46:27 I think Uncle Iroh Finally Invented Milk Tea

You guys are doing such a great service for us ATLA fans. My eyes hurt when I try to read comics for too long. So the dubbing and animation are just perfect for me. I am so happy that I get to know what happened after Book 3. Looking forward to more episodes from y'all ❤🎉

I just love their work so much the sang voice at first was not so good but when they fixed it it was amazing and iroh sounds like he did in the actual show and this chapters are helping me enjoy me summer as there are no comics in the area I live in (Pakistan) and the new avatar is coming the next year so I admire the work good job😊
DAWGGG, AANG IS SUCH AN A HOLE IN THIS COMICCC,
UNITY
UNITY
UNITY
THAT’S HIS WHOLE NATIONA’S PERSONALITY FOR GODSSS SAKE, WHY CANT HE JUST DEFEND YU DAOOOO
He’s scared of the stronger nations dominating and crushing the “weaker” nation because his own people were wiped out and now his culture is nothing but a curiosity for fan girls.
It’s just his trauma… poor kid. He’s only 14.
That 12 years old kid had to fix the mistake of a 80 year old past avatar who caused 100 years war which led to killing of his entire nation and culture, he can't handle everything at the same time. Give him a break
