Finally some tonfa appreciation (1:08:50) it personally would be my weapon of choice. I'm not professionally trained in using it but at it s base capacity it enhances elbow jabs and punches well also being able to be used has almost an arm guard or brace to take attacks. All you really need is decent grip strength.

I like the story but there is something that is bothering me which the writer of the fic decided to do which is the fact that Izuku is really intelligent and when he goes to buy a disguise to hide his identity, instead of buying a face mask he buys a pair of goggles to cover his eyes when it basically hides nothing seeing as it doesn’t hide his lower facial features which is a major part when identifying someone not to mention the unique diamond shaped freckles on his face which would be easily recognised if they saw him again when he’s not out as a vigilante due to the freckles alone which would be covered up buy a face mask like what kakashi wears or just a cloth face mask similar to surgical masks

That’s just how depression can be. Which Izuku definitely has(both in canon and in this fanfic), however it seems Izuku’s school life was even worse in this alternate telling than it was in canon. When you’re depressed, especially if there is no one to defend/support you from the words/actions of others, it’s not hard for the negative things that others say about you to feel true. All Might’s “you can become a hero” speech was the hope that Izuku needed to cling onto in order to begin to heal. With his accomplishments, All Might’s support, and developing meaningful bonds with his friends at UA Izuku could start to move on from his depression/self-deprecation. So when Izuku doesn’t have any of that I believe he would’ve become some version of the Izuku in this story(he might have even become suicidal as well).
Note: I know depression is much more than simply being depressed and if you or someone you know may be experiencing depression please seek help or an intervention. It can either be talking to a mental health professional, a guidance counselor, or just having a meaningful conversation with someone you trust. Talking about your anxieties is the hardest part, but necessary. Also know that seeking help is not a sign of weakness, but rather a sign that you’re brave enough to take one big step toward making your anxieties/problems a little easier.
