Was it as easy as this video shows? I’m completely new to this too. Do I download PSone games roms from the internet, put them in a folder marked “PSone” then just copy them into steam decks PSone folder and it will work?
i'd like just to point out that the most important function of the converter is not just making games smaller but also to be able to play multi-disc games much easier!
@@deefuze1151 I'm just surprised how I can play anything in my library. I bought an extra 512 gigs and I don't think I really even need it. Even games NOT supported actually work fine. I've been playing Bannerlord and Crusader Kings. Crusader Kings took some time to get fluent with. I know there are better ways to optimize so you get more battery life. I'm just lazy. But I wasn't sure I was going to be happy, especially seeing all these "newer" ones coming out that are "more powerful"

Thank you so much for the guide I found it really helpful. If I could offer one suggestion it would be to slow down on the movement around the desktop mode sections. Some of the basics there are a little different from Windows and MacOS and it can be very easy to be unsure when you're not used to the basics of Linux based systems. I have my Gamecube games all set up after watching this and they're running really well all thanks to you!

However, the billion dollar questions is, where do you go for ROMs (GameCube, PS2, etc.). Is Vimm’s still a good source? And I say good as in reliable and with less hassle to get what you’re looking for.

I also noticed the mouse clickers stopped working when you close Steam for some reason, but I didn't realize you could use the shoulder buttons as clickers. I've just been using the touchscreen this whole time.

It's enough to just press the X button if you have a text field selected. Great guide. The Deck is a perfect handheld for emulation. Does this handle game update files as individual games?
Really like the video followed your directions got all the emulators shown in my library but no games will play I have tried everything and have reset to factory settings a few times but no games are showing up! Dont know if the deck is defective. It really shouldnt be this difficult. Thanks..

So now i managed to add Zelda for WIIU in steam but if i click on play, steam loading logo appears, loading for a couple of seconds and then imidiatly turns back to steamOS. I choosed under properties the last proton version 7.0.2. Any suggestions what i could did wrong?
You can update each one from Steam Decks desktop mode (I have a tips & tricks video planned where I'll will go through things like this) :) Regarding your Zelda question, I'm not quite sure. It should work using the latest proton. Which Zelda are you playing?
@@Techcravers zelda breath of the wild. I added the cemu.exe as non steam application in steam and add the game through there and it started but only over desktop mode. So i guess i need to try some other methods. I try to reinstall everything, but i did it exactly like your tutorial. I will keep you up to date.
@@Techcravers ok so i figured out. The issue was from steam rom manager, however SRM had under cemu settings the wrong executable. He took the cemu.sh under launcher and not the .exe under roms 👌🏼 but know i need too update the game, do i need to do this in cemu itself?

Awesome video. Lately I've been getting an error when saving my App List. I didn't used to have that, and now I can't seem to get rid of it. Any ideas? Also I like your skin for your SD. Where did you get that?
Don’t know which error you get, have you turned off steam before saving? Sometimes I get an error anyway, but if I just wait for a while and click save app list again, it usually works.
First of all, great video! One thing I'm confused about... that thumb drive you attached with the dongle... is that thumb drive formatted with ext4 or NTFS? I have 20 gigs of roms on my windows PC and know nothing about linux and everything I read online says the Deck won't recognize Windows format storage. It seems like I can't find a headache free way to transfer my roms. If it's really just as easy as you made it look I'll buy that dongle in a heartbeat.

Hi, thanks for commenting! I’m using a 1TB card from Kioxia as I think it’s good bang for the buck. You could also get a Sandisk card, should you want that. Both of them are available from Amazon.

Thanks! My thumb drive is formated as exFAT and I have no problem transferrring files between my computer and my Steam Deck.
