Many thanks BeentBestway for the episodes of The Green Hornet. It has fell victim of the shortsighted TV executives. Thankfully I get to appreciate these retro Super Heroes classic TV shows.
I just binge watched The Green hornet. What a national TV treasure! This show was fantastic. Back in the day they missed the mark with a bunch of great shows by canceling them too early. The Green hornet, Batman, The Munsters, Lost in space, The Addams family and many more should have ran three or four seasons at least. But we have these 26 episodes to remember 1966 and the Green hornet! May watch it again
ABC forced Greenwood Productions (that made Batman) to cut the budget after each season of Batman. The writing/storyline became more farcical and even the sets were more cheaply made. They introduced Batgirl in the 3rd season to try and revive the ratings but to no avail. The later Adam West said that ABC considered bringing back Batman for a 4th season but it would have meant getting rid of Robin, Commissioner Gordon, and Aunt Harriet and just keeping Batman, Alfred, Batgirl, and Commissioner Gordon. West refused and the show was canceled.
Ronald Anders That, and the fact that the ratings simply weren't there for this show; ABC, the broadcasting network, wanted another Batman on their hands, but the TV-viewing public of the time was simply too hooked on Batman to give The Green Hornet the chance that it deserved at the time.
I hear a Green Hornet animated series is on the way in 2021! Let's hope it's good and paves way to the live-action reboot this property deserves!! Thank you Van Williams, Bruce Lee, and Wende Wagner for making such a wonderful show, and BenentBestway for keeping the dream alive!✌💚💚💚

We never had this on TV in either Italy or the UK (where I grew up) but we were aware of them through marketing, magazines, toys, crossovers in the Batman series and of course that beautiful Corgi Black Beauty car. It has to my knowledge never been shown on terrestrial TV here and God knows if its anywhere on satellite here. No Region 2 DVD box set either despite rumours one would come out with the 2011 film. Best we could do was those 2 compilation movies made in the post-Lee fever period which were at least a window on it. - Thank goodness for UA-cam and for those who posted this like yourself. Thanks!
Gosh man it didn't last long enough. This was way better than Batman. Even though i still enjoyed it. BUT THIS WAS BETTER. THANKS FOR THE UPLOAD. I enjoyed all the episodes!
All I can say is, I’ve always been madly in love with Linda, gay Scott, wherever I can find her such as on bonanza, the man from uncle, Westworld, and as Varma here on the green hornet and numerous other acting jobs, such as lost in space collision of planets. She retired early and went into real estate and probably made a lot more money than she would’ve staying in acting but boy was she a looker. Peace.

Thank you for sharing this show. It was great to see the green hornet again. I feel like the cherry on top would've been if you were able to upload batman 66 episodes that the green hornet made cameos in but I imagine someone would've been a killjoy.

In a larger sense it is implied that the Green Hornet is the head of a large criminal organization so I think it would be interesting if he had some more personnel in a secret control room in the top floor of the Sentinel building. And maybe some troops in a secret basement to take care of the light work of minor thugs.
The show us nothing but a red of the original -- but what style. These are the first night scenes on a TV show that I have ever seen that actually looked as if they were filmed at night.

But I think my favourite was the episode "Hornet Save Thyself" a nice variation on the theme without going into the fantastical the way they did here. But I enjoyed the series, much more than I thought I would. Nice to see a few reflections in the recent movie - for example when he got shot. And GODDAMN, Van Williams was so much better than Seth Rogan - not sure what the hell that casting was about.

okay, whoever came up with the term “vibrant meter” certainly didn’t do any good for an already bad production! i’d like to see a nickel-cadmium power cell that could put out all that electricity! if that were the case, we’d not need to worry about powering evs, it all would be in that little battery! again, this is an example of insufficient scientific knowledge. scanlon says the output was rated at 25000 volts. at most, such voltage would jump a quarter of an inch or under a cm. to get that much distance likely would require in the neighborhood of 25 megavolts! as is evident in several of these, science be damned! as i said in part one, this was a very stupid episode, which might have cost the series another season.
They only had the one season unfortunately; because people were disappointed that it wasn't campy like Batman. These two were the campiest episodes and the worst like you said. It just couldn't compete. Maybe due to so many single episodes and not enough muli-parters.
well it was a good thing the police had their sirens on at full blast going through the middle of the desert to alert all the traffic and scores of pedestrians living under the rocks of their presence.
These Green Hornet episodes are too dark and difficult to see what's going on. Somebody screwed up in the studios when they did the processing or filtering. The dark scenes are terrible.
They either knew they were done or it was because it was the season finale. The intent was to keep the seriousness of the show but threw in a bit of Batman-esque camp. This is also the only time the Green Hornet wasn't trying to muscle in on the operation. With Miss Case a prisoner and Maboose in possession of a nuclear warhead, this time it was personal!!

this series was ahead of it's time. too sophisticated for kids watching Batman, but more for the adult. Bruce Lee of course went on to better things..
