Super affordable MOD to change the standard tonearm in a straight one.
This KIT gives you the ability to modify your standard tonearm in a straight tone arm.
Delivery Content: 1 Headshell in the color of your choice + 1 cartridge + 1 headshell mount adapter and 2 screws.

Tanks for your comment. It shouldn't jump if it is installed correctly. Did you shorten the tonearm too much or tap too hard on the vinyl while scratching?
@@PortablismGear I managed to fix it, just had to tighten the screws of the head-shell and it doesn’t jump anymore.

What was the purpose off removing the whole tone arm
Thanks for asking. You need to do this because of the Tonearm wire. Otherwise you won't be able to put it through the Headshell. The connectors are too big.
Portablism Gear just a quick heads up you don’t have to do this just drill out the small hole to fit the wires, I did this and work fine

Does this require the preamp mod with the cartridge you supply with it?
Thanks for asking. As you can see we do not install any pre amps. This mod is not for magnetic cartridges. It's only compatible with the cartridge we send with it. The counterweight of the tone arm is not heavy enough for other cartridges.

Could I remove my stopper without removing the entire arm?
Turns out its a possibility. However i stripped the screw so i'll have to remove the whole thing to remove tge stopper

@@stonetronic No, please watch the video. It is exactly showing what's to do. It just turns your stock tonearm into a straight one. The audio remains.
@@raminbehzad659 I perfectly understand what is shown in the video, but I need to put another needle, what do I need for this? install a preamp ? I have already installed my stanton 680 needle, but it only works through the phono input in the mixer, if you turn it on line, it plays very quietly and without low frequencies at all
@@stonetronic the video shows to use the same cartridge for a reason. The weight of the cartridges like Stanton and Ortofon etc. is too heavy for usage on a stock PT01 tonearm. If you still chose a different cartridge like your Stanton, you will need to swap the needle very often because it will be worn fast due to the heavy weight. You will also need a pre amp for it. The counterweight of the stock tonearm is not enough to manage other cartridges than the original.
