This route is very scenic with fabulous countryside and urban views, ideal for locals and tourists alike maybe? Never seen an open top (Daimler Streetdeck/Volvo Wright Gemini III?) being used for driver training before. Seeing a few cyclists having a potential deathwish by almost riding out, in front of the bus just doesn't surprise me. Hopefully this update does just as well or better!
It certainly does, especially with a bit of urban-country contrast. The open top (Volvo) wasn't on 'Proper' Driver Training, as in training people to drive buses. It was on route learning for the Sightseeing route which is due to re-commence next weekend. Been in Cambridge three times last week (like most weeks) and each morning there were one or two vehicles out route learning.

Sorry that's this is random but have Cambridge Bus & Coach still got the 4 Nordics?
Five, although they are currently "stored".
