I made it but I use normal machine to sew the middle instead of weaving machine. The middle is not free when putting it on the head

You can use regular machine for this , if result is not ok , may b there is mistake in layring.

Can Ankara material be used

Stretchable material is best for this , however you can try with ankara just add bit ease while marking.
