Hello Lenny ;) Im slightly confused about the barcodes, you said to purchase one from GS1 but after you said that FNSKW is the only one we need. so do we need to purchase both or just one? thank you xx
Hey Pink Lotus! Good question - I'll do my best to clarify! Yes, you DO need the GS1 barcode. You need this in order to create your listing. (There is another way to setup your listing without a GS1 barcode, but requires something called Brand Registry and a trademark and is a little more tricky, so generally speaking it's easiest to get a GS1 barcode to begin.)
So this enables you to activate your listing. When I said all you need is the FN SKU - I was referring to your packaging. The only barcode you need on your actual packaging is the FN SKU barcode, not the GS1 barcode.

Familiarize yourself with the US labeling requirements for manufacturing and selling goods. All products have different requirements and import duties. Baby items have specific safety testing and labeling requirements, ie fire and toxic. Be safe, have all overseas manufactured items tested and labeled correctly.

Hey Max! Yes absolutely. I would use the low review/ competition criteria in every single market. In Germany and other markets that are smaller than the US, I would probably go lower even, such as less than 50 reviews instead. Hope this helps! 🙂-Lenny

I have two questions, is it possible to make money these days without branding your products? Since most products on the first page are branded, and branding costs more money and work, you need to start a company, buy upc codes...etc.

dont know why some youtubers say you can start fba with just 1000$ cause according to this video you will need at least 5k to have an all right start. shipping cost and such adds up plus depending on where you live you gotta pay customs ect. plus the softwares 1k definitely not enough to start profitable

1 crucial step missing in this fantastic tutorial - validating the data displayed in the chrome extension before contacting suppliers.
Calculating your Actual cost of sale (ACOS) starting with Average sales\month, FBA fees. shipping cost/unit. removing outliers within the data, adding the 2.5 rule for PPC. This is super important. It will save money and time and big mistakes for rookies like myself. Dave Hamrick who writes for Jungle Scout covers this in some of his posts - for those interested. Thank you Lenny. As long as you get your inventory ready for the relevant cut-off dates (Amazon has different inventory cut-off dates for Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Christmas) you should be able to launch your product and take advantage of the holiday season! 🤩

As a rule of thumb, yes. If you see several sellers with tons of reviews then that's is a very competitive market. Those sellers and listings have been around for a very long time and it’s probably not the best one to get into. 🤓

I have been looking for a video to show me exact what you are showing. I have been stuck on so many things until i found this video. now i finally can start my amazon business. Here is an example of what im talking about.
I have been stuck on how and what to do after i find a product im ready to source, the product is ready, i was stuck at where and how i get the shipping info, how does amazon know this is my product, i mean obviously, this wouldve been taken care of, but this is where i have been stuck, finally a video that is def must watch. Thanks for this video. it should be the most watched and no thumbs down. seriously, the biggest help without paying people for info.

Thanks for the nice video, indeed very usefull! I was wondering about 2 questions, one of which someone already addressed in the comments below, but still a bit confusing to me: 1) Let's say that we buy from a supplier in China, for example, bracelets, or cellphone cases. How do we know these can be considered generic products, so we can put our label on? We never know if some brand has the rights over that particular design and the supplier is simply copying it. 2) How do we figure out where to pay sales tax, since the criterium varies from state to state (either origin or destination of the sale). I believe Amazon only provides the warehouses ' locations. Thanks in advance!

I love your video but what I can't get an answer to hear on UA-cam and it may sound silly to you cuz you're an expert but here goes. if I use the FBA scanner and choose the option to sell mine hey, does that automatically add it to my dashboard so I can assign a shipping plan or do I have to enter all my products in manually.
