I worked in a junkyard back in the 70's. The owner of the junkyard showed me how to "snatch" a steering wheel off without using a puller. When it came loose it broke his nose and blackened both of his eyes. After that we decided it might be a good idea to at least leave the nut on just a little so the steering wheel doesn't crack your skull or maybe, better yet, use a puller. LOL
Your a lifesaver. About a year ago I was on UA-cam and could not find NOTHING, NO video that was good in showing how to remove OUR dashboards, then you make this. I will be starting on this project in the next few weeks to replace the one of the gears on the speedometer (left one) that does not show my speed when I drive. Now the right side one that shows the RPM, that one works perfectly, so I guess it is one of the gears that is not working. I really appreciate this video and I think it might be best to get a nice big box of plastic lunch bags (100 count) and put the screws in there and use a marker and mark every side of the screw hole with a number, and put the screws in a bag and number them accordingly and also use the number system for each lunch bag according to the screw that is removed and use the system to simply number all connection modules and plugs that way I know where everything goes. I just don't want to misplace or forget a screw or forget a connection. Does this sound like the right way for me to do this? I seems like the best way, just want to get someones feedback about that. At any rate, I will be diving in on doing this soon. Thanks so much and dam....you deserve a coffee for this! Thanks again mate and because of that, I will subscribe! 🙏
Tks for this very informative and detailed video it's about time. I had an issue w/headlight switch but with this info/video I feel confident and informed enough to tackle my a/c condenser and vent repair. God bless you for sharing the knowledge not everyone has the factory service manuals and I Hope it helps others to build the confidence to tackle DIY projects.i like and save and share and Subscribe.
Damn good video. Came on here about 1 year ago and could not find anything that was good in showing how to remove the dash. You are a lifesaver and deserve a coffee. Thanks mate...I will be doing this in the next few weeks to replace a few things and most importantly the mileage speed odometer that is not working, but the RPM (left one works fine).
ughhhhh, hope the 3FE is more simple... the only advantage of having a 3FE. Thanks for sharing everytime I go in exploration mode to fix something I break something and add to the repair
Hello. I just bought a 1991 Land Cruiser and the dashboard lights are not working. Already changed all the cluster bulbs. Would you be able to help me where to find the fuse of this dashboard? Thank you in advance.
Awesome video and I commend your patience very precise and informative

Thanks… yeah I looked for a video but couldn’t find one either so I decided to make this based on the FSM

Absolute legend. Great video. My 3FE is hanging on but I’m sure it’s not long. Liked and saved. Well done!
OMG!!! I hope I NEVER have to do this..haha...but nicely done!
I need to do this lol
Very educational and inspiring, thanks. I wonder how different is the one for the later model, I have a 96.
Thank you!!!

Im not sure.. I made this video specifically for the older dash styles because I felt like there was no information out there
Where did you get the heater core from? Thought they were discontinued..
