There is a pair of these birds that lay their eggs annually right in the middle of a local hundred+ vehicle car park. Despite vehicles parking and driving around constantly, each year they think its a great idea to lay eggs in the middle of the road.. Constantly swooping people coming to and from their vehicles..
omg, so mean she was terrified!!! You keep scaring her she is going to kick your butt! We have a bird here that is similar and builds ground nests and is very protective of them, they are a killdeer. If you get too close to the nest the bird will actually flop on the ground and make a distress call like they are injured to lure you away from the nest, this is what the Spur Winged Plover reminded me of.
That was me it'd be as many my 12 gauge how did Dad deal with plovers we got a family of magpies to live with us next thing all plovers the area were gone
How to kill them? Because one blinded my dog when we were walking in our own neighbourhood where them bastards shouldn't be laying their eggs anyway. How to kill them? Any tips? Need my revenge A.S.A.P!!
Actually we didn’t disturb them. We get close enough to confirm where their nest and eggs are so that no live stock or vehicles will destroy their nest.
Got swooped today..... beyond terrifying 💀😂😂
If you've ever played cricket or footy, you know this sound
Yep that nest in the middle of the pitch lol
@@SilhouetteParkFarm playing in Tassie I always noticed it fielding. Go chasing the ball then hear this bearing down, _fwoop_ as it tears past
That sound gives me anxiety, l have never gotton over being swooped by these birds 😣

mich scott we don’t mind them but damn the lay eggs in weird spots at times
@@SilhouetteParkFarm maybe not a wing spur but a roosters spur yes lol
Sound like keep away from my eggs over and over
I love birds . very beautiful. I never seen this bird. So part of the wing is poisonous ?!? Why? That's so weird.
The males have a venomous spur on the outer joint of the wings. They swoop and are super aggressive when protecting their nest and young.
@@SilhouetteParkFarm ohhhh gotcha.
Not poisonous. but that kind of misinformation is a good way to keep people from bothering them for sure
aaahahaha "look out!" nasty things
A plover baby walked into my house today. The mum and dad were so mad
animepoopyy lol I bet they where
@@SilhouetteParkFarm while my mum was trying to get him out of our house. I had to defend myself with a tennis racket!
