I hated Bero too...especially when he does the thing in that scene without really knowing or appreciating the ramifications of what he did. But, it was interesting to see what happenes to his character through Jade War and Jade Legacy. He really just goes with the flow, very que sera sera even when he has goals. After I finished reading Jade Legacy, I went straight to the first chapter of Jade City.
