In Kachako's defence, he was the first to respect her as a threat and a worthy opponent. Not even Deku respected her that much. They even call out people who say he shouldn't have fought her seriously in the text of the manga and anime. And Ochako learned a lot from that fight, to my mind it was the reason she did her first internship where she did, to learn how to fight properly. Which she fuckin did. And ya, Kachako isn't happening any time soon, bc Ochako is obviously into Deku and Bakugo needs to learn not to be a self-centered asshole, but. There's been a spark. And to those of us who're susceptible to the dynamics of such a ship, where the characters are radically different but challenge eachother to be Better, that spark was enough to light a fire.

I like Jiro tho... Her power is both unique and aesthetically pleasing. Her voice is fun and her sarcasm is very realistic. Not only that, but her choice in clothes and posture suggests actual hobbies that a human being would have and makes her easier to both relate to and understand. Her moment in season 2 where she's taking the exam also shows some serious determination, patience and strategy. The fact she doesn't have big boobs but also is not a loli is super rare and something I quite enjoy as it makes for a more complete person first and fanservice after, whilst also appealing to my tastes.

The school festival arc demonstrates that Jirou is secretly the most feminine girl in the series, she’s realistic, you can visualise her as being a real person.
She has her own aspirations in life and she struggles with them, she isn’t as easily defined a character as the other girls, she’s serious about her goal of becoming a hero, so much so that despite being afraid to tell her parents, who thought she was going to be a musician, she told them anyway and stood by her choice. She laughs at stupid jokes, is shy when talking about herself, never brags about anything, including her abundant musical talent, is a little concerned about her growth, secretly really likes cute things, is surprisingly easy to scare, loves her hobby of music, would do anything for her friends and truly believes that music can bring the world together.
She is a wonderful character, arguably the most realistic one, if she were real I would ask her out immediately, not because I’m into the “goth” aesthetic, which she doesn’t even have as she styles herself as a punk, but because she is real, I can relate with her and I understand her troubles as they are my troubles too.
