Wow - that fissure extends under that industrial park. I wouldn't be surprised if you had settling in the coming months. A bit of a dangerous situation in case a large crevasse forms and it collapses when a vehicle drives over it.
Hello C. Earth fissure form as the basin subsides due to groundwater pumping. Fissures are principally located in agriculture areas which require groundwater to irrigate crops.
