I almost shead a tear while watching this because i know the way that this raider team is headed we are only going to get better and better and return to the glory days when Al Davis would except nothing but the best and most feard in NFL history.
Al Davis died in 2011. Eight years later, I'm left to wonder what Mr. Davis would think about the current state of the league. He was a maverick, but he was also a New Yorker and a product of Army football -- would he have supported kneeling during the National Anthem? "The opposing QB must go down hard." But he also advocated for protecting player safety. How would he view the current state of "roughing the passer?" He absolutely despised The Tuck Rule outcome. How would he feel about the current climate towards officiating (i.e., pass interference challenges, what is a catch). And after his feud with Marcus Allen, God only knows how he would've handled the Antonio Brown drama. We miss you, Al.
What a legend of an owner and a leader! The man didn't take no for an answer and didn't care what people thought about him, a true rogue who did things his way and wouldn't accept anything else, he took in players that other teams wouldn't dare touch and made them into true winners and forged a legacy that will never be forgotten or surpassed. R.I.P AL and RN4L! 👍
How can you not love this man! There will never be another one like him in football. I’m glad chucky is bringing Al’s philosophy back to the raiders: Don’t fear anybody and go take what you want! The big stage is set this sunday for our young players to go and just like the big stage in london, go and take what they want away from aaron rodgers and the packers 💪🏻 ☠️⚫️⚪️
Raiders should create a permanent patch to put on our jerseys. The Raider shield with the AL inside it. And have that patch be on the jerseys permanently. 💯☠️🏴☠️🖤
lil prowler 1 watch Al Davis's Football Life documentary. Almost an hour long and the end made me cry a bit. Almost all of the clip on this video is taken from that documentary. The onlything that's not from the documentary in this video is the comments from coaches, players, and media.
He couldn't be #1 according to whoever came up with this list but he may be the most important character in NFL history. You cant tell the story of the NFL without mentioning Al Davis & the Raiders multiple times.
He has been past away 16 yrs and still his stamp and legacy has not disappeared we still stink like he did and we love him thank you AL for burning that fire in side all us fans
Oh how far from grace we have fallen ... There’s always next season has replaced commitment to excellence, just win baby and an autumn wind is a Raider !

why did he trade away Jon Gruden after the Tuck Rule game? how come him and Jon Gruden couldn't get along? that sent the Raiders on a long downward spiral they haven't recovered from since.
AL is literally still on our helmets. He will never be forgotten. This has me pumped for green bay! Just Win Baby
The immortal torch!
You play for the Raiders?
The AL Shield will never not be on the helmet. AL was the Raiders. AL was football.

Well seeing as it was a special forces guy that told kapernick to kneel yeah Davis probably would have been ok with it
Al is amazing, wish his son was more like him, but glad the Raiders are still owned by the Davis family

Al Davis would get Kaepernick, not because hes good, but to give the finger to the league 😂
Carr is better
@@moneybags209 rather have Kap at his peak, the league is going towards mobile qbs. carrs been scared since his injuries
Byron!! I absolutely agree with the point you're making. Al Davis wanted to stick it to the NFL anyway he could..

Genuinely shocked the NFL put basically the epitome of the Raiders at number 2. Hopefully 1 is Lombardi or Belichick.
