Marty Feldman could rarely make me laugh and this sketch was the best I saw him in. His physical humor here reminds me of Buster Keaton and for what it's worth I met Marty at the Fontainbleau in the 70's where I worked part time as a British illegal immigrant.
A true original! There's a version of this on the DVD compilation 'It's Marty!' totally hilarious. Marty as the garden gnome applying for a home loan to buy a magic oak tree is hysterical.
I remember seeing a sketch where he played a man whose wife was always nagging him and he kept inventing reasons to run off to be with his mistress and there’d be speeded up film of him driving to the airport and flying somewhere to meet his lady then having to fly back just as fast
I remembered the essence of this skit - unseen creature in a container - but was thinking it must've been Monty Python. So glad to see it again and witness Marty Feldman's genius.
Vegetarian since the age of six, Marty Feldman said "I won't eat anything that has intelligence, but I'll gladly eat a network executive or a politician." :-) Many see his point... First watched this 30 years ago as a little girl, loved it then and love it now. Marty Feldman was hilarious
".. didn't find him in there .. Found him in the Book of Revelation." -- just a fantastic line!
😂
Man, he committed to that physical humor, I was rolling every time he opened the basket to lay into his pet!
Feldman was just brilliant 🤩..
The TV needs another Marty Feldman..
'I finally found him in the Book of Revelations.' Hilarious!
We need to see Marty again, we must not forget his wild and wonderful humor.
Look at the sign on the wall, Dr Birdstrangler's Animal Hospital. Genius.
The man was a living breathing cartoon. Thank heavens his genius was recorded!

Marty was a very big fan of Buster Keaton.
I remember seeing this when it first aired. Just as funny 50 years later.
Good to see Charles at the end
great ending, marty showing his talent in physical comedy along with his ability to deliver lines, he probably wrote it too.
Before Fantastic Beasts, there was Marty Feldman.
MARTY FELDMAN,I think It's good that people remember him for his comedy achievement other than just igor in YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN.
Oh God! That was hilarious! “He misses his walkies” and “the Book of Revelations” made me lose it!
How about the "walkies" chain?!!
"He likes owls, you know." That skit is a masterpiece.
everybody gangsta until the pet is found in the book of revelations
The other animals around them are so calm
I saw this many years ago and loved it. This time I noticed the other actors around him and wonder how they kept straight faces.

I couldn't understand most of what they were saying but i laughed my ass off the whole time
I was sad when Marty passed but then not long after Benny Hill was on the scene and he was great too
Dr. Birdstrangler. What a clever thing.

Hilarious! Just like taking Archie, our mini dachshund to the vet for his jags!😊
Love Marty Feldman!😎
A comic genius and a gentleman in life. God bless Marty.
Sure beats the comedy today. 🤣 I want to go back in time 50 years!
There isn't any comedy today. Just filth and smut.
Marty is so cute! I don't understand how everyone around him could keep a straight face, lol.

Yet his diet and nicotinism brougt him fatal heart attack at the age of 48. (Too much milk cream causes arteriosclerosis.)
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
And the somewhat crazed facial expressions.
They don't write comedy like that anymore.

They cut out the more suggestive jokes for the US audience, it seems. Such a prudish nation! You'll find the original here on UA-cam...
