Cap, your reasoning is totally understandable and if I put myself in your shoes I would probably do the same as you else it would be like working for a boss that hates you.
A huge part of R2DA’s spirit, whether we like it or not, was PlaceRebuilder. I don’t think I’ll ever meet a guy as kind as him, despite how little I interacted with the dude. Everything he made had the PlaceRebuilder flair to it, he had a style and charm that I just don’t think anyone can replicate.
i dont usually involve myself with drama or situations in the backrounds of games but GOD DAMN every single time theres a decent game on the platform there's always some bullshit going on behind the scenes. i genuinely dont know if i even want to play the game myself after hearing about this.
2:37 "Im not really involved in the community" A few months back I was questioning Ailbric about a developer opportunity and I brought up the question if I could stay low, secluded, and away from the community. He proceeded to say "no, its vital for all developers to be apart & interact within the community to get thoughts and feedback on your work." (His exact dm)
Im so sorry the things you went through with the r2da community, there's so much garbage in this community and I really hope project blam has a smooth release. It was great to hear from pr about the shut down of the game and as somebody with religious beliefs I felt a lot better about r2das shut down and it was a good form of closure Id like to include that I was banned for the server temporarily for being friends with somebody who wasn't well-liked in the community despite the fact I never really talked with them that much
R2DA has always been one of those games which some or most of the community refuses to let go of throughout the years to come, for better or for worse is up to you in whatever game. When I've first joined r2da and eventually the community rather than just remaining as a low rank nobody, what I didn't know was the drama and past grudges that came with it, and when I came to Ready 2 Die, after a year and a half of the original game discontinued, it made me realize again about the problems with the concept of this game made by PR. To be bringing myself back to the community of what I thought I've moved on from is like reopening a wound or an old box that I've purposely haven't thrown in the river for no real reason. I will say that this toxicity has never really left, instead dragged along with the community as the majority are still teenagers going to high school or just out of elementary. Not much has changed the more time passes and the more I look onto the game's flaws such as the grindy p2w ideas, the more I want to leave it behind. I feel bad even if I'm not much into the series anymore since I'm growing up, for you to be a part of this drama without a choice makes it even more of a representation of why many veterans moved out of this also. Once again, for me I'm trying to move on again, for a little while I've gotten back to the series solely due to nostalgia and from the good times. Now, I realized one major reason why I try to move on without fully acknowledging until now, younger me never really understood it all back in 2020. R2DA can never be truly recreated in another game, and maybe it's better that it remains that way. Some things are needed to be buried and never again longed for or wished to be kept since it was a lost cause in the beginning. Dead weight in a sense, distracting us from what we really need to improve ourselves on, if that makes sense. I hope that one day everyone can move on from this game long past and deleted, I hope that Place will find the rest he deserves without worry for what the community he unwillingly raised does to his creations and his image, I hope you can one day be free from the past grudges some refuse to let go, or some made up reason to despise you. These 5-7 years from the past is a mess for the most part. As for me, I have stayed here since 2020 and will continue to stay for however much longer. Whenever Blam releases, either next year or never, I will devote myself to stay, even if I have to watch new problems and the worst of falling outs from others or myself.
Im glad ailbric isnt the owner anymore, i came back to this video now and u were right, alot of people in these screenshots have been eradicated from the community or worse, all i can hope for now is that somehow the new devs dont make this mess worse, people like ailbric, evilmedi, yedlex already being associated with the game is not good considering it hasnt been running for even a full year yet, investing time into the game is a gamble considering how much stuff happens behind the scenes
and then he delayed the halloween update for a 2nd time, with complete radio silence from all devs for 2 days while the entire server was shut down. then he makes a 3rd promised deadline, missed that deadline (still no word from devs about that 3rd delay lol) and scott has since gone back on his apology, doing his usual strawmanning of disgruntled players. inb4 Ready 2 Die becomes another Empty Baseplate
@@AVI-lh6rmits so funny how ailbric hyped up the update to have 2 BOSSES and then couldn't even get out 3 items in time for halloween, what was he thinking 😂😂
dont worry guys the game is dead now because ali loves money and decided to refuse having the game migrate to a new group so the people left working on it winded up leaving over the disagreement
@@spidercrafter3088i wouldn't say "dead" just yet, ailbric is no more and the new creator (arsa) isn't really money-hungry. The community is somewhat active again, with events every weekend assisting players in getting gifts. Mods are really nice and do their job, I doubt any drama would start again.
I came here from the announcement on their server. I hadn't realized something so troubling was brewing in the shadows. This was a very insightful video and my views on the game have very much changed. Wish you the best on your project
sad as I am that you aren’t returning, I understand your reasoning and respect your opinion on the matter. I was also unaware of most of the points you made in this video, as I only play the game and I don’t interact with the community very often. I appreciate you shedding light on this, I had heard rumors in-game about things like this going on behind the scenes. anyway, thanks for the good memories bro. I genuinely feel as if I grew up on r2da and your channel was a huge part of that. I’ll continue watching your videos even if you don’t make r2d content anymore 🫡
The original will always have a special place in my heart for getting me through a tough time in my life(still struggling but doing better). However I will most likely won’t play it either as i don’t have nearly as much free time anymore and I don’t want to spend hours playing the same game and grind. Personally I think if this game simply chooses to follow the same formula as the original it will go down the same route. Regardless, I do hope the team can improve upon their game so that players can have a better experience. Though I’m not a developer I sympathize with your feeling of wanting to move on and wanting to do your own thing, we aren’t getting younger and it’s best not to hold on to the past.
I’m glad you’re willing to criticize the R2D community. Not because I hate it (I love it), but because they are misguided, and they further need to be helped. I believe they’re learning from their mistakes as evident by their recent announcements in their discord. Overall, I wish you the best. God bless.
I remember playing the original back then, and even reason 2 die, I wish you a great career and enjoy what you want to make, not what everybody else expects you to make.
I never interacted with the community in either games for that reason but people have no choice but to respect the fact your decisions But like many others I'd love to say thank you for all of the memories made and I hope to continue watching the development of your project and your channel
I see par and the rest of lucis team is having and they really need to improve in a lot of things, well i still got the nostalgia glasses unfortunaly on, so i want to play the game, well cap i would say you been one of my biggest inspirations to start creating content, i hope blam releases soon!
One of the big problems with the R2Da community was the lack of variation between people's reactions when PR couldn't handle it anymore and shut down the game. There were the people that accepted it, and then there were the people that were spiteful when they thought they lost a source of enjoyment thinking it was one of the only ways they can receive it. Being honest, I think a large portion of people that are clinging to remakes are the people who didn't move on. I cant remember who said this, but a wise man once said that R2D didn't really die, the people that knew what made it special went around sharing the kindness that PR once gave to them several years ago. Many people who moved on started to become successful in their own way, variating from people getting better at seeking stable communities and friends, creating good youtubers that multiplied the amount of happiness given by the game, and some people went on to make their own project and games. That being said, I'll continue to wait for project blam GoSinister, Ready 2 die doesnt look like its in a good state, but I saw the announcement from ailbric in the server they have, and if they come to terms with actually owning up to what they've done, than hopefully the game can become its own thing if they're smart enough.
People can talk all they want but at the end of the day you get to decide what you want to do and what you want to post about. I will miss the days of when I used to play R2D in 2014 on my laptop in elementary, or in middle school where I used to hop on UA-cam and watch one of your R2DA videos but, it's the past and its better to be happy that it happened then sad that it's over. Furthermore, the game doesn't even have much to post about considering it's an exact copy (or trying to be) of R2DA, grind, then grind some more, and then keep grinding. Overall, I don't really care or understand drama in a ROBLOX game however, I'm impressed with how you have managed to maintain such control over yourself when the community and developers of the games have been mistreating or toxic towards you and your community over the years. Maybe now I'll decide to get involved in Apoc. Rising 2 as I used to love the first game but only time will tell. I thank you for addressing the matter of the situation to people like me who are in the dark about these things, and I respect your decisions on staying away from a toxic environment. Now that I'm becoming a young adult the main takeaway I have gotten from this is that you should always do what makes you happy, as corny as it sounds it is really true and that's what I firmly believe you're doing. Anyways that's enough talk from me, have a good one Cap, you're a G.
I watched this when it first came out and returned when Ailbric made the announcement in his server. The community has been a bit problematic for a while. Personally, I didn't realize half of the drama going on, but with all that said, I respect your decision not to play the game, and I wish you good luck with the other games you choose to play. I'll still be watching/supporting your channel.
Its hard to see you saying that, and specially the idea of no more r2d content. But no matter what, ill be still following your content with other games. And also im so sorry for you, and what you went throught, And wish you alot of succes in your career, and life ❤. Your the best and ill be still supporting the channel even if its not r2d .
woah im there 0:21, anyways Cap I very much support your opinion on not going to R2D, this video has honestly opened my eyes to see that the R2D team and the game is definitely not doing a better job in making R2D a better experience, I hope that all goes well in your life and that you stay safe and never let anyone tell you that you cant make a amazing game, im rooting for you.
I mean, I’m very happy that he’s a devout Christian. Idk what backlash he got (he supported trump, woohoo I don’t like trump but I don’t care if place likes him) But compared to people like Jopede and the rest of former R2D mod team (who are horrendous) it makes Place look like a saint in comparison
I remember making a comment about you jumping ship a while back, I’d like to see you back on this game more then anything, it’s good having a an old experienced player to oversee the success of this new game, but I think you gotta do what’s best man
I’ll always support your vids and channel as a whole, your content style is unique and I’ve always liked it. I’m glad you’ve moved on to better things and I can’t wait to see more. Love ur channel gosinister
A long time veteran here, I came back from the original Reasons to Die, one that was more Left For Dead inspired, with the brutes that were actual tanks that throw rocks at you. I have long stated toxicity and the community was the game's major problem. A couple of other issues went unsolved as well such as the shed farming, downright spawnkilling, and again overall toxicity of the community. I cannot count how many times I have been harassed by members for a sentence they did not like. I had a situation where I was downright harassed by a player for seemingly no reason (at least I never saw/recall a reason for his reaction) so anytime I happen to join a server and he happens to be there, he would immediately initiate a votekick on me and tell the other players to kick me under false pretense, stating I was a cheater or something of the sort. It got very bad to the point where I had to approach the moderation team to resolve this issue because I couldn't resolve it on my own. The moderation team eventually banned him for I believe was six months for this, he did attempt to appeal but I don't recall how that ended. This incident was one of many issues I had with the community and incidents like this drove me away from the game for a while. The game also had a lot of issues as I stated earlier that weren't tackled on, which in my opinion drove new players away. They would see the toxicity of the community and many newcomers would see the game as a spawnkilling simulator, and its important for a community to attract new players constantly. I made a lot of friends from this game and had a lot of good memories from boss fights, to campaign especially surviving until the subway arrives after finding your seat ticket, however looking back onto the experience the community alone is something I will do not intend on looking back on. (Unless things changed) When I heard of the fan remake I was unaware of the cracks that appearing (which of course was a mistake to not research on) but after a while after trying it out after a few days which to date I started seeing the same issues appearing. I feel like the game is the exact same community, same issues, and nothing has changed however this is my opinion. I believe this game has every chance to be very successful. It has a very good theme going for however there are too many issues plaguing the community and gameplay. I do feel like PlaceRebuilder is correct that it is best to start from scratch but again, this is my opinion. I have always considered getting more involved again but I don't see myself just right now with things as they are.
your still one of my favorite youtubers even if the game i came for is gone you are a human and you make your own decisions and i’ll be there for your future ones too
I’m happy to see we both played the same game in the past, sad to see you go. But I understand why you wouldn’t. I don’t know about this before at all, but it really sucks the community here still does the same crimes the old one did. Thanks for being a part of my R2DA nostalgia ever since my first time playing it back in 2018. I guess now I’m playing it alone. Goodbye Cap, and thank you.
Now its been 2 weeks and the game is near dying completly, devs are leaving and ailbric himself, tbh i still got a small hope for the game but rest of my thoughts about this is this wont last for long
He made an apology on the announcement channel about the whole thing so hopefully he'll change for anyone who's interested in what he said: I would like to formally apologize to the community, the game itself, development, and staff team. I was very immature back in January and was suffering from a massive burnout and anxiety issues from my life. I never had a community this big before and I thought the best way to handle CSS members or members of that server was to perm ban from the server. I deeply apologize as this was not the way to handle this. I soon then realized this in august and decided to start unbanning people from it. If you were caught from the ban wave, I will be making an appeal server for all (even if you weren't banned from that banwave), to submit an appeal from game & discord. Yiris doesn't not have power nor did he ever did inside this server. He had a fake chat-head moderator role that never gave him power, just displayed him up top the member board. I apologize for making people think that he did have power. He only resides with @Debugger & @Contributor for assisting me in-contact with Rockynic (former R2DA developer) and lending me assets. I deeply apologized to PlaceRebuilder after I thoughts about getting the rights to use the Reason 2 Die name. I didn't mean to hurt him by scarring back the name and I have since then never went back to that thought. Its the reason why I changed the name to Reason 2 Die: Definitive Edition to Ready 2 Die. Again, sorry. Yedlex is not allowed to be in the community. I made the big mistake of letting others tell me how to make big decisions and temporarily let him back into the server. I am ashamed looking back at this and I hope you guys can forgive me for making this mistake and I hope to never repeat it. Overpricing on gamepasses is totally by me and starting today, I will be lowering it to a more reasonable price. GoSinister made a very good point on the bad pricing on it and it was priced back in 2017 where the game has completely changed since then. I deeply apologize for not thinking this through before the game was made public. I thought that carrying everything over R2DA was the best decision as it mostly worked. I realized this mistake today and I once again apologize for the unfair and unreasonable pricing. Whenever a Gamepass in the description says its going to the community and developers, I truly do mean that. You guys are funding the game. You guys are the reason why @Developer are getting paid fairly for their work. You guys are funding future community events, UGC, Clan tournaments, etc. I would like to apologize again to violet and SAI team for the immature acts and comments left by our community. It was on me for not properly checking if scott was doing his job correctly on listing the skins creators. I hope you guys can forgive me on behalf of scott and letting our community attack you for our mistakes. Please do not attack @scott1333 . He's made mistakes and I will work with him to never repeat it. He does not control development, he only made the announcements. I'm now working with @Lead Developer , @Developer , and @Debugger to test changes before publishing it to the main-game. I will be getting someone else to work on announcing changes, thank you ❤ Today in the morning (before the video was made), I decided to drop development on the Halloween event and instead focus on the core-game and XMas. Dual Hallow's, Boo Buster, Pumpkin b0t, and other stuff will still release on the 31st for tickets. Sorry for hyping you guys up but I felt like this was the best moving forward. Most of all, I apologize to GoSinister for going out of my way to harass his community and himself on twitter. I didn't realize what I was doing or even saying. I was just angry and that got the best of me. I hope I can learn out of this and make approvements, I will be working more closely with the community and staff. Thank you, ailbric
@@Jesse_69420 mfs in 2023 when somebody actually apologizes for their actions and behavior then proceed to say “they just got caught” instead of believing people can be good.
Gonna be honest, I immediately knew from the get-go that these guys behind ready 2 die weren’t fully on with just a remaster based on the dev products themself. PR had like only half of what these guys were offering, at the same, if not, even lower rates. This kind of greed was a big red flag for dishonest developers despite their game motto of “A faithful remake.” It was most likely bound for massive drama and toxicity with self-centered narcissism.
The thing is though, most of their dev products and gamepasses were priced identically to how PR priced his. While the prices have been reduced now, a good majority of the revenue actually goes into paying developers, and they get paid a hell of a lot more than any R2DA developer did, besides maybe Kord_K. Every single person who contributes an asset is paid a rather hefty sum of robux, even people who only contribute like, a singular model, when in R2DA the person would most likely just get contributor or debugger or some other thing with no real monetary value (like skincrates). While it was somewhat reasonable in PRs case as he was basically living off the R2DA money, I say what the Ready 2 Die team is doing is still more favorable.
I completely understand your perspective, you were wronged by the community you grew from and you have every right to bash those people, I fully understand and support that you want to move past r2da. While I will play R2D (mostly due to nostalgia reasons and hoping it will get better) I will never interact with any communtiy/devs due to how terrible it looks at the moment, but thank you for atleast bringing this up and making your stance clear.
People cant let go, they are so attached to the game. Sure I also used to be the same wantinh r2da back but at the end of the day its just the same as children having fairy wishes
Nice to see ya, the community is still a mess ever before. I was chat moderator for the original R2DA discord(l know, a loser). There was a lot of drama between the staff. Like Yiris and Greedy getting an argument. An Illegal video posted in chat, firing of Jopede, Babi, Scary all head moderators, high staff turnover, had 4 different chmod during my short stint, Staff getting into petty fights between each other, and the 2 chat head moderator raiding the server. I remembered the first day of my mod. Someone posted a photo of man’s balls inflated for a fetish site. It was an eye opening experience. Besides, that I was fired for inactivity because I didn’t hit my quota of 10 reports by the new head chat moderator, bustaq. (I believe that his tag) Anyways, R2DA will always have a special place in my heart. It was one of the first games that I play for hours. I watched UA-camrs like Peridot and you. I was kinda obsess now looking back. Yet, it a end of era. When you mentioned the old players moving on, it got me thinking. It been a some years before I thought about R2DA. My interest move on, even during the end of the lifespan of R2DA. I quit because of the grinding. I have different interest like Fire Emblem. Heck, I am starting a hack version of Fire Emblem. I have no interest in watching anything R2DA related except in this case it was my recommendation. See ya Cap, I might play your game but I generally quit ROBLOX. Perhaps, it can reinvigorate my interest! 😊
Respectable opinion Personally, i just stayed away from all drama in relation to the community and such. I just focus on playing the game since i like it, and i never got to really get to endgame. But i understand. People just love bringing others into drama, so you're doing a safe play. Can't say i'm a subscriber of yours, but i do support your decision 👍
But I would really like your own game being r6 but I have High hopes for your game it looks so good and has so much opportunity to be an really good robbie game I'm really hope to be able to play it soon and maybe voice some ideas for it.
Im glad im not the only one who thinks the devs are abit insufferable, i agree with you and i still find it werid that they are so hyper against alt farming when the farming is like what you said a 9 to 5 job. the fact they removed 5 player servers to make alt farming more harder is just super weird.
alt farming is a super weird tactic to begin with and the game shouldn't reward it in the first place the fact that they're not trying to solve its root cause and rather just waltz around the problem is the real issue
@@pantommy the only reason people are alt farming is because how boring and unrewarding it feels sometimes. a good way to fix it is to make farming alteast more rewarding then alt farming
@@iyanez it's not the only reason, it's also because alt farming is both encouraged by the game's gameplay loop and by the broken spawn system. The gameplay is all about locking down spawns and farming for hours, with campaigns nowhere in sight. Ideally, we could evolve from this decade old gameplay formula and expand on the campaigns, rewarding farming zombies a lot less. Changing the core fundamentals of zombie spawning to give them the advantage while spawning could also sap the efficiency of alt farming (such as making it so the zombies choose when the spawn instead of just spawning in ready to be killed). The problem is that the focus of the dev team is not on making events more than fixing the game's core issues, and people just want to get rank 60 then be done with the game. The journey should be more fun than the destination, and currently the journey in R2D is doing the same mindless shit over and over.
for real they never tried fixing alt farming issues like if ur game wont have any other incentitive or goal in a match besides survive you might aswell expect everyone to alt farm ur game 😂
As an OG player of R2DA, starting in 2017 and playing for 5 years until it was discontinued, I can tell you that the game is irreplaceable. Every other game that has tried to imitate the aspects of it has done a good job fulfilling the actual maps and meshes, but not whats important, the gameplay itself.
You know, i am not really that sad by the fact that you wont make r2d content anymore, and i do respect your choice, and honestly you are correct in everything you have stated in the video. Do whatever you want GoSinister, its your channel! I am also really excited about the game development though, good luck with it.
Hey Gosinister Sorry for your situation dude, I can't even think how it would feel to be your shoes. I respect your choice and to move on with your life. also I'm not sure if you remember me still but I was playing with you in a game called PSA, you were playing lancer and I was playing bezeker. i thought it was funny to try and KO you but you got to me first. Anyways I can't wait to play your game take all the time you need its just you are dev from the original game and I'm really hopeful of what you will create so I know you wont disappoint. Best of luck to you.
Yeah, idk what else to respond with other than I understand you completely. There are people in the community who aren't very nice, and I've seen lots of times where potentially good people I've met got pushed away by that. There's literally nothing you can do about it though, it isn't the first time it has happened, nor will it be the last. You'd be surprised how much high school styled drama R2D actually has.
Even with this drama I'm still hoping the developers can not just imitate R2DA but expand and improve on it in ways PlaceRebuilder could not or did not. In the current stage of development they're getting the base game down and I understand that, but later on I wish it could add something new to either make it less like a job to grind, have more fun, or balance mechanics, which is what it is supposed to be
it's crazy to me that scott out of all people is talkign shit about you "not having a positive impact on the game" while he's the most hated dev in ready 2 die and removes maps/nerfs guns he doesn't like to play lol
he also literally contributes nothing to the game, not even the cheesecat mount is made by him which is his self insert, he's a "map optimizer" but i wonder what he optimizes lol, all of his balances are for the worse, like removing panama because "it's a farm map"?? why??? or nerfing m200???? his only positive changes are zombie buffs but they aren't super good, all of the zombies still suck
scott hating on you and also saying "what sort of positive impact did sai have on r2da again i forgot" is crazy that mf ruined all the maps, he does NOT wanna listen to the community he should be removed the from the staff team completely I've seen so many people from the community genuinely hating him for being the way he is just wanted to say that the apology he made on discord is clearly fake just go look at it lol he only made the apology because ailbric did it first
I thought it was pretty humorous they automatically banned users from css who weren't even in Lucis at the time but they allow shitty communities like team claw and other awful clans who brought nothing but toxicity to this game.
making clans an actual part of the game (with clan points too) and going back on their promise to not add ffa seems like such a shitty way to bring back the "old" players, like they're really just not trying to improve on r2da and rather just emulate it
crazy how people really turned on you, its just half of that community is full of attention seekers sad to see stuff like this happen. I've been a huge fan of your videos and will still watch them.
I may not like the response, but I respect the fact that you hold your ground when it comes to this. Honestly, feel free to do whatveer game you want, as tower defense simulator is there, break in 2, all those games can help your channel, and I think it would be nice. We can also collab if you like :)
Understandable on why you aren't returning, and I too thought that "R2DA - The End" would be your last video relating to the series until your own project came out. Sad that there was so much drama happening whilst playing this game, but best of hopes in the future for you.
While yeah, the game is somewhat "accurate" the community has the same exact problem as old r2da did. The moderating system is incredibly flawed with next to no checks done about who Par actually hired (i was literally perma ip banned for leaving a ping on in a reply to him and got ignored by dunhill when i asked about appeals and instead said an announcement in the discord), but no matter who they hire it will always be more chaotic and unordered than r2da, and will probably never be the same as the old game.
i had went on that alt to ask about the two week mute which is my stupidity for forgetting the rules, but the point is that your admin ignored a simple question about an appeal to then go to the announcements and post quote "YOU CANNOT APPEAL BANS" in the process of ignoring me, which is pretty petty if you ask me
Suppose everything isn’t really what it seems to be. A game like R2Da had its shortcomings with the community and ingame, and although many people wanted the game back, it came back at what cost? Wish you the best on your future endeavors.
i am proud to be banned from r2d for alt farming because i couldnt be arsed to pay for their overpriced gamepasses or grind in default servers for 10 years
10:13 if my channel became popular from r2da content and ready 2 die was released i would prob just make videos on that game while making content on other games
I have said for years that there’s a good reason why he now no longer plays R2DA and it’s derivatives. The community around that game has been an absolute joke ever since before and after John (Yes, that John Roblox guy. He’s quite the personality back in those days) left the game. So many toxic folks in there are just eating away at everyone’s sanity and that’s just putting it lightly to the extent it actually went. It’s so bad.
Its not fair that people are shunned from the community even though they played a large part in the development of R2DA. in my opinion you and your team kept the game up longer than what it would’ve been had it just been PR and Kord left. they really need to take a hard look at themselves and take less appropriate people out of appropriate places such as exploiters and immature individuals out of their staff team. I’m sorry what has happened to you and the name bashing your game and community have featured alike. people need to grow up.
3:33 i had like 10 messages on your discord server and i remember getting a perm ban from lucis just because of that, all of this because someone was trolling saying "i should get cmod". I had to manually ask a mod to unban me from that shit
although I have played the og r2da for like 4 years this is very painful to see.Although I do miss r2da a hell lot and shit this new game isnt the same, the data reset new community and grinding the exact same thing is so boring. Its fully understandeble that you dont want to play this again and i support you.❤❤
Coming back to this pin 2 months later and about that "a game for the fans, by the fans" thing they said... lmfao
completely understandable opinion the community kinda sucks
Cap, your reasoning is totally understandable and if I put myself in your shoes I would probably do the same as you else it would be like working for a boss that hates you.
I personally find all of your points agreeable and I understand why you don't want to go back to the game.
Ur based. Fuck aillbric, still gonna play the game tho. I am not based
I respect

Blame the people not the game itself
2:37 "Im not really involved in the community" A few months back I was questioning Ailbric about a developer opportunity and I brought up the question if I could stay low, secluded, and away from the community. He proceeded to say "no, its vital for all developers to be apart & interact within the community to get thoughts and feedback on your work." (His exact dm)
HE should be more involved.
Im so sorry the things you went through with the r2da community, there's so much garbage in this community and I really hope project blam has a smooth release. It was great to hear from pr about the shut down of the game and as somebody with religious beliefs I felt a lot better about r2das shut down and it was a good form of closure
Id like to include that I was banned for the server temporarily for being friends with somebody who wasn't well-liked in the community despite the fact I never really talked with them that much
R2DA has always been one of those games which some or most of the community refuses to let go of throughout the years to come, for better or for worse is up to you in whatever game.
Whenever Blam releases, either next year or never, I will devote myself to stay, even if I have to watch new problems and the worst of falling outs from others or myself.
damn thats alot 😭

aged nicely
Im glad ailbric isnt the owner anymore, i came back to this video now and u were right, alot of people in these screenshots have been eradicated from the community or worse, all i can hope for now is that somehow the new devs dont make this mess worse, people like ailbric, evilmedi, yedlex already being associated with the game is not good considering it hasnt been running for even a full year yet, investing time into the game is a gamble considering how much stuff happens behind the scenes
while i will play r2d, i will absolutely stick to your channel and support during your game development
Even though I play r2d I am glad someone big finally said these issues major props to you and good luck on your development!
Its nice that ailbric responded this this video and made changes accordingly its nice he lowered gamepass prices just to increase them a day later :c
and then he delayed the halloween update for a 2nd time, with complete radio silence from all devs for 2 days while the entire server was shut down. then he makes a 3rd promised deadline, missed that deadline (still no word from devs about that 3rd delay lol) and scott has since gone back on his apology, doing his usual strawmanning of disgruntled players. inb4 Ready 2 Die becomes another Empty Baseplate

Aged like fine wine
This video aged well.
Indeed.
i feel really bad for what you have gone through with the r2da community. as a fellow player of r2da and ready 2 die, i give my condolences to you.
This aged extremely well man
The original will always have a special place in my heart for getting me through a tough time in my life(still struggling but doing better).
Absolute-yikes! I never knew so much went down behind the scenes. Thanks for elaborating!
I’m glad you’re willing to criticize the R2D community. Not because I hate it (I love it), but because they are misguided, and they further need to be helped. I believe they’re learning from their mistakes as evident by their recent announcements in their discord.
Overall, I wish you the best.
God bless.
Also yes when I said “R2D” I meant Ready 2 Die.
I remember playing the original back then, and even reason 2 die, I wish you a great career and enjoy what you want to make, not what everybody else expects you to make.
I never interacted with the community in either games for that reason
but people have no choice but to respect the fact your decisions
But like many others I'd love to say thank you for all of the memories made and I hope to continue watching the development of your project and your channel
I respect your opinion and your transparency on this topic, I'm looking forwards seeing you developing your channel further as well your project!
I'm 17 years old and played Reason 2 Die back in 2016. GoSinster, the past is the past and the future is the future-don't let anyone stop you.
woah im there 0:21, anyways Cap I very much support your opinion on not going to R2D, this video has honestly opened my eyes to see that the R2D team and the game is definitely not doing a better job in making R2D a better experience, I hope that all goes well in your life and that you stay safe and never let anyone tell you that you cant make a amazing game, im rooting for you.

Holy shit i didnt know there was so much drama in this game, thanks for letting me know dude.
TBF it's still the R2D community at heart, drama is to be expected at this point with this damn community
Just when I found my favorite roblox game growing back it just falls AGAIN. GOD DAMMIT.
your still one of my favorite youtubers even if the game i came for is gone you are a human and you make your own decisions and i’ll be there for your future ones too
I’m happy to see we both played the same game in the past, sad to see you go.
Well I guess that ailbric is no longer owner of ready 2 die anymore since arsa is the new and current owner
"The more thing change, the more they just stay the same."
i love you because ur so sincere keep up ur work man
Now its been 2 weeks and the game is near dying completly, devs are leaving and ailbric himself, tbh i still got a small hope for the game but rest of my thoughts about this is this wont last for long
He made an apology on the announcement channel about the whole thing so hopefully he'll change
for anyone who's interested in what he said:
I would like to formally apologize to the community, the game itself, development, and staff team.
I will be getting someone else to work on announcing changes, thank you ❤
Today in the morning (before the video was made), I decided to drop development on the Halloween event and instead focus on the core-game and XMas.
Thank you,

i do not blame you at all, especially since it seems you can’t escape drama, do take care of yourself dude.
watching ur old videos makes my heart great
Woah, i feel bad now, i wish we could see the best part of this community, without all the drama.
Gonna be honest, I immediately knew from the get-go that these guys behind ready 2 die weren’t fully on with just a remaster based on the dev products themself. PR had like only half of what these guys were offering, at the same, if not, even lower rates. This kind of greed was a big red flag for dishonest developers despite their game motto of “A faithful remake.”
It was most likely bound for massive drama and toxicity with self-centered narcissism.

Nice to see ya,
the community is still a mess ever before.
(I believe that his tag)
Anyways, R2DA will always have a special place in my heart.
See ya Cap,
I might play your game but I generally quit ROBLOX. Perhaps, it can reinvigorate my interest! 😊

FACTS
Im glad im not the only one who thinks the devs are abit insufferable, i agree with you and i still find it werid that they are so hyper against alt farming when the farming is like what you said a 9 to 5 job. the fact they removed 5 player servers to make alt farming more harder is just super weird.
alt farming is a super weird tactic to begin with and the game shouldn't reward it in the first place
the fact that they're not trying to solve its root cause and rather just waltz around the problem is the real issue
I've played r2d since 2018, I must agree with alot of your viewpoints and want to move on from the game after it's already lived it's life out.

In the current stage of development they're getting the base game down and I understand that, but later on I wish it could add something new to either make it less like a job to grind, have more fun, or balance mechanics, which is what it is supposed to be

making clans an actual part of the game (with clan points too) and going back on their promise to not add ffa seems like such a shitty way to bring back the "old" players, like they're really just not trying to improve on r2da and rather just emulate it
crazy how people really turned on you, its just half of that community is full of attention seekers sad to see stuff like this happen.
We can also collab if you like :)
a great comeback cap! glad to see you uploading again.
He still uploads??
@@doomboom1255 yes, cap does
Understandable on why you aren't returning, and I too thought that "R2DA - The End" would be your last video relating to the series until your own project came out. Sad that there was so much drama happening whilst playing this game, but best of hopes in the future for you.
0:27 he really did see!
0:23 oh there's my comment here wow
00:10 music?
all the music i use is in the description of my videos
@@GoSinister oh god im sorry idk how i didnt see that lol tysm
While yeah, the game is somewhat "accurate" the community has the same exact problem as old r2da did. The moderating system is incredibly flawed with next to no checks done about who Par actually hired (i was literally perma ip banned for leaving a ping on in a reply to him and got ignored by dunhill when i asked about appeals and instead said an announcement in the discord), but no matter who they hire it will always be more chaotic and unordered than r2da, and will probably never be the same as the old game.
i had went on that alt to ask about the two week mute which is my stupidity for forgetting the rules, but the point is that your admin ignored a simple question about an appeal to then go to the announcements and post quote "YOU CANNOT APPEAL BANS" in the process of ignoring me, which is pretty petty if you ask me
@@ailbricthis doesn't deserve a perm ban
Thank you for talking about this stuff
Suppose everything isn’t really what it seems to be. A game like R2Da had its shortcomings with the community and ingame, and although many people wanted the game back, it came back at what cost?
Wish you the best on your future endeavors.
the game has been out for a month and there's already drama, the community has actually not changed a single bit...
i am proud to be banned from r2d for alt farming because i couldnt be arsed to pay for their overpriced gamepasses or grind in default servers for 10 years
the gamepasses are fucked, they shouldnt be getting this much money for a r2da remake
Please continue as long as you believe it is the right decision 🙏
No matter what mate, I'll stick with you. Stay safe mate
Welcome Back to ready 2 die Cap im glad you decided to play the game!
Nah hes ain't playing r2d and the community is dog sht
did you even watch the full video?
10:13 if my channel became popular from r2da content and ready 2 die was released i would prob just make videos on that game while making content on other games
I have said for years that there’s a good reason why he now no longer plays R2DA and it’s derivatives. The community around that game has been an absolute joke ever since before and after John (Yes, that John Roblox guy. He’s quite the personality back in those days) left the game. So many toxic folks in there are just eating away at everyone’s sanity and that’s just putting it lightly to the extent it actually went. It’s so bad.
We neva gona get the goat return 😔😔
I’ve been still asking about that unban, and haven’t been able to get that. It’s insane
although I have played the og r2da for like 4 years this is very painful to see.Although I do miss r2da a hell lot and shit this new game isnt the same, the data reset new community and grinding the exact same thing is so boring. Its fully understandeble that you dont want to play this again and i support you.❤❤
Hi I was in your video about 6 years ago
Well it’s good to know you’re still here
Sadly you wont return, anyways thx for this fantastic game called Reason 2 Die
