I also use a garrard 401 with sme 3009 arm with fluid damping. It sounds absolutely fantastic. No rumble or wow and flutter discernable even through headphones. Better than many modern turntables that are more expensive.
Just fab, G. Wow. Kudos. It's so beautiful. Also - I'm enamored with the sample track you played. I saw you also showed this tune on another vid earlier on. I've searched far and wide. Seemingly this track "Kate" isn't anywhere on the internet aside from your video. I've also checked Discogs and there is not a single copy for sale on either CD or LP in the US currently. I'll be tabbing your video to hear it on repeat. Magical! Thanks, mate.
Wow, it all looks just great. So now you have two Garrard turntables, one with an MC cartridge and one with and MM cartridge? Is that right? Can you make any comparisons? I'm thinking the MC cartridge requires a little more volume but you get more detail with it? Thanks for showing this George!
Hi randy. I’m not a multi turntable person. But I’m just playing around a bit. My phono amp has a built in transformer for the mc stage. So I could switch between both turntables for a running comparison on the fly.
A beautiful piece of kit and great job restoring. Love it.
Thanks rob. A labour of love and patience.
Ah, i see where the plinth came from. Very nice set up and looks fantastic.

Cheers rob glad the sounds travelled the pond.
It looks like it really came together even with some of problems you ran into. It sounds like a great addition.
Thanks Randy a labour of love and patience.
Looks and sounds wonderful, George!
Cheers andy. Does sound fab. Though it’s got its work cut out with my other turntable.
Looks sweet! Those O/L arms are pretty decent too.
Thanks yes origin live make fantastic turntables and tonearms.
