I truly enjoyed your video of reminisce but felt sadness for your mum.. i understood her perfectly, as I myself left my village in Trinidad and living in another country for a few decades. Its always sad when one goes back to our childhood memories and the joys then to how messed up things are today. Nobody cares anymore and life isn't like the good ole days of our youth, perhaps this is in your mum's mind. God bless your mum and your family 🙏
Maybe y'all should rebuild. If you could get the proper paperwork and approvals and there isn't a problem. You could have a place to always return to and call home. Lots of times the younger generation move to other areas or migrate and the elders die off, houses remain empty and abandoned. Sometimes the surviving relatives are not financially able to maintain the property or the owners never left the property for anyone in particular and that causes fighting in families so others just try to avoid these problems all together.
@@lifeinprogressUK well if that is the case then probably y'all might need to put your heads together and come up with a plan to move forward. If you can you shouldn't procrastinate because it gets more difficult as time passes. Prices on building material and other things go up quickly in Trinidad.
It's sad to see the house has been abandoned. I can imagine the memories your mum relived, just seeing it. 🫶🏽🇹🇹

That's so heart breaking, to see the house that you were born in, just started hottenin,no one to take care of it,,from NYC
If your mother owns the land maybe she can sell it or rebuild it so it's not an eye sore. It's such a beautiful area.
Whenever you meet a Trinbagonian you GUARANTEE to get a FULL STORY!😄
lol love it!

Can you guys reconstruct the house. It can be a holiday house ,for your family and visitors alike.❤❤❤
It seems to be caught up in too much red tape
Shelly your mom looks just like you when she was younger.

Is this Lot 10 village point fortin..if it is ..do you the Hinds family?
Can someone please tell me what area of Trinidad is this
I believe it's called Guapo.
❤That looks like siparia
Parryland is in Point Fortin. That is where the school is so i believe the home would have been in the same area.
