  • A short history of the northern and southern branches of the Somersetshire Coal Canal along the valleys of the Cam and Midford Brooks. It transported coal from the mines of the Somerset coalfield via. the Kennett & Avon Canal to markets across southern England.

    The Coombe hill locks are a great place to visit! Be careful around the locks, they are deep! They do have the remains of lock gates still in place in places.
