SEWER 'USE TAX'! The year they started that for us we put in our POOL (18,000 gallons) I tried to explain on deaf ears! Glad you got this one and happy for a lack of 'BIG' ROCKS although there are a bunch! YOU are CORRECT on the water because people MUST think of RECOVERY RATE! You done GOOD on that issue!!!
That's kinda what I was thinking too. Set up a couple screens and sort out what you need to top the drive off. We don't have limestone like that anywhere near the surface around here in NW Illinois. Gotta go over by the river to the quarry
If you were looking to find rocks, you hit the jackpot that day! Are they planning on using all those rocks for something or was that just a place to dump them? Nice job, and enjoyed the voice over. And I'm glad they took your advice on the 2 inch line - excellent recommendation, cost or not, they won't regret it.
Lol that’s for sure. I may use them along the side of the driveway by the culvert like rip rap. Yes I think they will be happy they went with the bigger pipe. Appreciate you watching
There they are! I figured with that much elevation change you’d find the rock quarry. Having that rake sure helped separating them out. All those guys who say a ditch ought to be dug to a certain depth. within a half inch, haven’t dug here in S/W MO. Have they? Glad to see you could find pipe. I was at Lowes last week and they were out of electrical PVC over 3/4”. And fittings… there were more empty boxes than not. I went to three stores to get one 3/4” LB! Glad you got it in before the rain.
I really liked the voice over, it was very cool! Great idea with the two inch waterline also! Really enjoyed the video and thank you for sharing with us!
Maybe it was you that jinxed me today, digging postholes in sandy soil, hadn't seen a rock in over a mile of fence, then "bonk and thud" on the last six or eight posts. Hard to set posts in six foot wide holes where rocks were, and I'm too old to use the "idiot stick" busting holes in the rocks. But at least you got some rip-rap out of your extra work, I just got a backache.
Not sure what the flow of water will be on the culvert under the driveway but them rocks will come in handy if there is erosion issues, nice dry stack or rip rap for the culvert...
I will Send a note to the company about how you used the grapple on this video if it is OK with you? When you Google about the rake you get hits on your other videos showing you using it. Would have never thought about using the rake like you did, great idea. Thanks
You did those people a huge favor by increasing the size of the pipe. Hydraulics is weird in that if you have a single pipe that's say 1" and moving say 10 gallons per minute, and you lay a second pipe the same size, you only double the water carrying capacity or 20 gpm. But, if you only lay a single pipe that is a 2" ID, then your water carrying capacity is increased by 4 times or 40 gpm. I know you were tired of digging by the time you were done though.
Hey BRANDON (good buddy), I don't remember that "rock strainer" on the 260. Is it new? Also, no requirement for colored RIBBON in the hole with the water line? Thank you sir! Nice job...
Question. What do you charge per foot to install a 4" water line? If the customer provides material and you trench and install the line. I'm in Texas and I'm trying to compare pricing.
I'm just starting out in the excavation business. Any advice on expected daily production with digging electric service trench through rocky ground? Hourly/daily charge rate? Tb180fr
It really just depends on the soil. I’ve dug 800ft in a day and I’ve dug less than 100ft. I try to get $1250 a day for my 260 but every area is different on price so you will probably have to figure out what your hourly or day rate needs to be.
@@larrykeenan598 When I search pvc all I come up with is solid pipe in 10 and 20 foot sticks. I know they also make flexible for drain lines on pool filters.
@@mtu-engineer3220 PVC water pipe is made to be buried in the ground. 2" PVC will carry about 280 PSI. The flexible PVC is low pressure and used above ground. I would think an Engineer would know this.
@@larrykeenan598 I know pvc pipe can be buried in the ground. I can only find high pressure pvc in rigid 10 and 20 foot sticks. All the pipe in rolls is high density polyethylene or polyethylene or pex. My local supply house does not carry pvc waterline in rolls.
I would pay the extra money for bigger pipe so I don’t have to hear my wife and daughters scream at me when I flush the toilet when they are in the shower.

Oh wow! I bet that was pricey. Appreciate you watching
You don't need any gravel , you already have plenty of rock.🤣 Looking good. 👍👍

🤣🤣 that’s true I just need a crusher
400' of water line is some serious gear Shifting!
Lol yes it is
Great work, an good thinking on the bigger water line, that was a long run, thanks for sharing, man that's some rocky ground
Thank you! Yeah I figured they are going to need all the volume they can get
Man digging in that would drive me nuts, but you the man. Given LD18 a run for his money, when he did the animal hospital, stay safe.
Yeah it’s gets old quick. Makes for a long day lol
Glad to see you have a rock bucket to deal with so many rocks , thanks for bringing us along
Thanks! That was my grading rake. It worked great for that

Nicely done even with the rocks.

I like it bro 👏👏👏👏
Thank you!
Good job 👍🏻🇺🇸

@@eliteearthworksllc your welcome Brandon and I look forward to it!
Nice workmanship

Looks like gravel #4 !!!
They call them screenings here. It’s just lime sand
Great job buddy!
Thank you!

In my area sewer is 110% of your water bill. I use 1 1/4” pvc for 1000’ water service on country system
Good to know. Appreciate you watching

Yes I’m glad they did. They would not have liked the 1” line. Having water volume is a huge thing. Most people don’t understand it
I take it the utilities run the electric to the house? Hopefully nowhere near the waterline 😊
Yes I’ll have to dig out 10’ from the house for the electrician but then the power company takes it from there
I was just curious you guys don't use caution tape or a tracer wire
We use tape on electric lines. I’ve thought about tracer wires before not a bad idea
thanks for replying back preciate
Do you plan on getting a rock rake for your bigger machine? Sure looked like it came in handy sorry all the spoils out.
I was thinking about it. It’s definitely a handy attachment

It’s my grading rake I’ve had it for a year or so. No we just have to bed the kind in with screenings but not ribbon
Why couldn’t they put the irrigation meter at the house, tap it off the 2 inch line and substrate that reading from the main meter
The meters have to be placed at the property line

I’ve never came up with a per foot price. I probably need too. I just do everything by day rates
You could probably sell the rocks to someone who has rock collection, lol.
I have guy that can’t get enough rocks. I Cleaned up a big pile this spring and he took them all.
🤣🤣 true
You're going to be trucking in a LOT of dirt.
That’s for sure! 😁

Is that pvc or is it pex?
Do they make that in 1-1/2"?
Is it too small, or the same price?
Schedule 40 PVC. Yes, it also comes in 1 1/2".
