  • Shake a tail. Each spring sharptailed grouse flock to their communal leks, or dancing grounds, on Dancing Springs Ranch to compete for the hens. The best dancer gets all the action, but that doesn't stop interlopers from getting in his face and trying to steal some action. Dancing Springs Ranch is being managed to protect and improve the habitat these native grouse need to thrive in one of the last strongholds for this species in Idaho and the Pacific Northwest .
