Rev. Daniels was a dynamic preacher. I really enjoyed a great many of his sermons. This one may very well be one of his most poignant sermons because , in my opinion, t was his last.
My Father the late, Rev. R.B. Brooks, Jr., would play his albums on Saturdays. We grew up listening to “Quit Talking to Yourself, What in Hell Do You Want” and others. My brother and I still listen to all his sermons. What a powerful man of God he was. Thank God for him. He was the Best❤
I was born in Houston, Texas and my parents moved into the rented house after the Daniels Family moved out. We would watch him on Sunday Mornings . Listen to his radio broadcast on Sunday Nights. I went to pre-school with A Louis Patterson and O. C. Johnson and Samuel Gilbert sons.
Thanks for this powerful message by one of God's Greats, Rev. W. Leo Daniels. I loved listening to him when I was a teenager in the 1970's. I thought I'd never hear his messages again. Thanks be to our Lord using you, good brother to bring it to us in 2023.
I discovered his preaching back in 1982... They don't preach like this anymore...( I was going to keep this, but back when I pastored in East Texas (Marshall, TX) somebody told me that I reminded them of Pastor Leo Daniels. I was honored but could not for the life of me figure out HOW...I certainly can't preach like that!!!)
Thank you. My dad would listen to his sermons in the garage on 8 tracks when I was a little boy. Rev Leo Daniels was my first pastor I heard preach. His sermons are inspirational to this day. To God be the Glory!!
First time hearing him....true Baptist sound. What killed him? Was he sick? 46 years later and this message is relevant today as it was in 1977. May his soul continue to RIP
Listening to him in this sermon you can hear him speaking in a prophetic voice the announcement of passing 🙏 he was my second cousin and I tried to memic his preaching but notice I TRY 😂
This was recorded at Mt. Corinth Baptist Church in Houston, TX under the late Dr. A. Louis Patterson, Jr.. You can hear Dr. Patterson throughout the whole message saying "My, my, my!"
Their words will live on forever as long as we don't forget to remember them and preach the gospel right according to the gospel of "CHRIST!" If the 'City' of HOUSTON' has not changed and my small local has not changed. What are we doing after all these years? Houston has immigrants but they own the neighborhood store! In my small local,: the immigrants, own the stores in our neighborhoods and we're still hating each other! Still fighting each other! You're tell me,; Black folk can't get it right and I should believe that other people are holding us down! Make it make Sense! Blessings
One of my favorite old time Gospel preachers...just down to earth straight preaching...Much needed TODAY!!!
