You guys have no idea the impact this has on people that lost someone in the military, police force, ECT… the sound of the 7 salute/final salute is like a bomb going off in your head… it felt like someone was shooting me right in the heart…. And watching my brother (US Army) hand the folded flag to my mom at my dads funeral and fall straight to his knees and just hold the flag is forever burned in my memory.. this is such a strong video…. Good job Drewand Drake …
@@eunahkim2010 it’s even harder handing the flag I’m an Air Force vet that when my grandfather passed I gave him full honors by being in service dress and was asked by the color guard to hand the flag over to my grandmother. That is the hardest thing that I have ever done considering it has to be done with no emotion the MC he rode with broke down watching this
@@21chris21cole Amen Chris, that is the toughest job in this for sure, Bill did a good job for Drew and crew presenting the Stars and Strips to the family. Hope this video goes nuclear viral!🇺🇸
I will NEVER kneel no matter how bad my knees or back may be. The men and women who have given the Ultimate Sacrifice deserve strength and respect. At my grandfather's funeral when I was 9 years old, I stood there saluting his casket as they carried him out of the funeral home and to his final resting site. I do the same now at every first responder funeral I attend
Just earlier this month I had my Grandfather's funeral. And, since he was in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II, he had this ceremony done to honor his time in service. Coming up on 12 years ago the same service was done for my other Grandpa who was in The Army during World War II, he was a survivor of of Omaha Beach on D-Day. And, also had the honour of experiencing this same ceremony back then, too. I'm miss them, but I am so proud of them, and what they did for our country. And, I now extend that same pride to my family friends, as well as every single other Man and Woman, who bravely serve country. 🇺🇸
This song hits way too close to home.. my best friend was killed in Afghanistan 2 years ago and never made it home. RIP SFC. Jason Shaffer, I miss you buddy, I’ll see you one day.
I get emotional on either version honestly. Such a great song. Thank you all to have served our country and for those who made the ultimate sacrifice you will not be forgotten!❤
Thank you so much for this song. My uncle had just passed last month and he was a veteran that fought to protect this amazing country. This man was like a father to me as my parents were never really in my life growing up so when I listen to this song it reminds me of all my uncle had done for me growing up and knowing that he fought to protect truly means the world to me. Keep up the amazing work.
