Do people not realise even if we get flying cars everyone has to have a Pilot Licence along with a Driving Licence. How many people would want to waste so much time and money on getting a licence like that. Not to mention the fuel costs.

They would just have to learn and follow air regulations, obtain fixed wing (pretty much your standard plane) aircraft license and for VTOL/VSTOL you need a helicopter pilots license, over urban environments would require constant communication with flight controllers, in short most people won't be able to fly but at least that leaves all the bad drivers and pilots out and away from these vehicles

I have my passion for Robotics/IoT since 9th Standard. A few days back, I chose that I want to become a Robotics Engineering, many of my friends, relatives & even my mother demotivated me that I should choose Computer Engineering (Because they think in India only this branch has jobs/ money) But without any second thought, I chose Robotics & Automation Engineering. But still, I was somehow feeling low (psychology). And this Retro Tech S2, gave me confidence that I am correct, we shouldn't choose education, on how much money it gives, follow your inner instinct 🙂

I feel like the inherent attraction to the idea of flying cars comes from the tendency of things in the natural world to find the shortest possible path between two points. Like electricity to ground, we want desperately to take the straightest and shortest path from "A" to "B" and flight is objectively the best way to achieve that.

The hoverboards actually made cheaper knock-off versions of the actual hoverboard. The man said that if you want to buy a hoverboard it should cost over 1000 bucks or it's impossible.
Yup, why flying cars can never happen. That and the fact rolling is so much more efficient than flight. Bet those people with their $200K roadsters that can float for a whole minute feel so great having a sports car the size of a seadan just so it could float a couple seconds. Totallu worth it.
Flying cars won’t work but I do think flying hoverboards will work and make a comeback. The guys that Marques talked to at Omi hoverboards even prove it how they flew several feet in the air.
@@lifeisshørt_420 absolutely not. The problem with flying board (they're not really hovering but actually flying at this point) is energy storage. You basically need a backpack full of batteries to run it for more than a minute and then we still have the risk of falling to your death if the wind makes you flip off or you lose balance. Hovering a couple inches off the ground is safer but the only feasible way of doing such is like the hendo hoverboard with rotating magnets inducing eddy currents in a conducting surface. Downsides of this being the board is too damn heavy to move on as shown by Tony Hawk riding the board the board itself weighs nearly as much as himself. Not to mention these now require us to replace our walkways from concrete to copper or aluminum sheets which is not at all cheap, slippery to walk on when wet, and will show damage from people crashing or scrapping it incredibly easily. Flying cars and hoverboards will never take off unless we find some new way to produce lift that is far cheaper than existing strategies and doesn't make a shit ton of noise. Unless we get some way to make anti gravitational force, dark energy engines, or something exotic like that we will be stuck with wheels due to raw efficiency.

Not only is that it but the fly board price range, if it becomes a product, may reach into the hundreds of thousands, even millions possibly (if they want to add safety features).

I was pleasantly surprised to see Michael Ian Black. Today I learned that he isn't that much older than I am. I can't believe it never really occurred to me that a lot of people I grew up watching on TV were so close to my age.
I was never lucky with relationships and I already gave up on it cos it was always one guy taking my hard earned money or another but I never lost hope until I got tired and decided to just face my hustle and make money. I went on that way for almost 3yrs but I tell you sincerely, I have blood 🩸 running through my vein too and there was this guy at my workplace who’s been showing interest in me but I’m a level ahead of him at work so this killed his self esteem, while me on the other hand noticed he’s got feelings for me, I went to him myself and we started the relationship, in just 4-months we proceeded to marriage, it was like heaven on earth. We started living together until I started noticing some changes like him making some secret calls and when he sees me, he pretends like he wasn’t doing anything. This went on and on and I was concerned. I never checked his phone one day as he doesn’t check mine either but he knows the password to my cell phone while I don’t know is, I requested for his password and that was when my suspicion grew more wider. It was just two and half months into marriage and the only thing I noticed was he wanted me to sell my grandpa’s house that I inherited which I could have sold without any questioning on his request but it meant a lot to me cos I grew up in that old house and the memories I wouldn’t catch up with ever again. Flying cars won’t work but I do think flying hoverboards will work and make a comeback. The guys that Marques talked to at Omi hoverboards even prove it how they flew several feet in the air.
@@lifeisshørt_420 absolutely not. The problem with flying board (they're not really hovering but actually flying at this point) is energy storage. You basically need a backpack full of batteries to run it for more than a minute and then we still have the risk of falling to your death if the wind makes you flip off or you lose balance.
Hovering a couple inches off the ground is safer but the only feasible way of doing such is like the hendo hoverboard with rotating magnets inducing eddy currents in a conducting surface. Downsides of this being the board is too damn heavy to move on as shown by Tony Hawk riding the board the board itself weighs nearly as much as himself. Not to mention these now require us to replace our walkways from concrete to copper or aluminum sheets which is not at all cheap, slippery to walk on when wet, and will show damage from people crashing or scrapping it incredibly easily.
Flying cars and hoverboards will never take off unless we find some new way to produce lift that is far cheaper than existing strategies and doesn't make a shit ton of noise. Unless we get some way to make anti gravitational force, dark energy engines, or something exotic like that we will be stuck with wheels due to raw efficiency.

@@reapthewhirlwind6915 I’m pretty sure he is considering in terms of accessibility. Heck, people could even travel with that water jet pack but it is unconventional. I can’t expect people will be too stoked to be strapped onto jet engines and to blow out everyone’s eardrums when the modern day “hoverboard” can be ridden by nearly everyone. Not only is that it but the fly board price range, if it becomes a product, may reach into the hundreds of thousands, even millions possibly (if they want to add safety features).

I was never lucky with relationships and I already gave up on it cos it was always one guy taking my hard earned money or another but I never lost hope until I got tired and decided to just face my hustle and make money. It was just two and half months into marriage and the only thing I noticed was he wanted me to sell my grandpa’s house that I inherited which I could have sold without any questioning on his request but it meant a lot to me cos I grew up in that old house and the memories I wouldn’t catch up with ever again. These was when I had to rethink and I beckoned on *HackerArticulated* and he advised that I hack his phone and I agreed and in the process, I got to know that this MF was already married and he was only in the stupid marriage with me cos he knew about my wealth and status.
