That vtuber award is pretty westernized. There were JP related ones like Vsaikyo or Kuzuha but I doubt they'd win. Also not one vtuber in my fav group VSPO is nominated. sadge.
It's a personal project by Filian, not a big organization or anything. All the nominations were done by fans as well. So yes, less well known groups aren't going to get nominations, unless for categories like 'small vtuber' or whatever. And since Filian's fanbase (and the people who will hear of this) are westerners...
