I used to love when in the old days of Minecraft, this kinda friendly "hacking" was more common instead of mainly griefing. People shared their servers on the Minecraft forums and as the threads became older, nobody new joined anymore and the small server community was set in stone.
But sometimes, you'd have someone scouring ancient threads and making a friendly visit without any griefing.
Mrtoasten never fails to brighten my day! He is my favorite member of the sleep deprived podcast!

I feel like he knows someone whos operating or hoeting the server or maybe its him hosting whos memeing on an alt bc he like came out of no where in alot of skeppy videos and around some big fish randomly
The server wasn't whitelisted, it was basically on a public listing and it was inevitable someone would stumble upon it at some point. I am even certain there are websites online that list these servers on a list no matter you want to or not, since it's not whitelisted it's basically a public server that anyone can find and join.
Tbh they got lucky that it was MrToasten that joined and not some random troll, I know and have seen people who have nothing better to do and actively browse server listings for servers to grief, keep your servers whitelisted guys. The funny thing is they probably named the Ip something stupid like goonsmp or something distinctive and that's how mrtoasten found it because I doubt he would have recognized the server in an ocean of listings otherwise
