Mainstream vs substream
Mainstream and substream are two different video streams used to view your camera footage.
Mainstream: is the primary video feed. Mainstream provides the highest video quality, and is the stream the DVR / NVR uses when saving footage to the internal hard disk drive (HDD). Mainstream settings can be adjusted to increase or decrease recording resolution. These settings will impact recording file size and available recording time.
Substream: is the secondary video feed. Substream provides a lower quality video stream, and is typically used to stream video to computers, smartphones, or tablets over the Internet. This allows you to reduce streaming quality for live or remote viewing, while maintaining higher quality on the mainstream for HDD recording and storage.
For more information on how to adjust the mainstream and substream settings for your specific DVR / NVR refer to your user manual.

Badde Bhai mere ghar pe aaj hum ne hikvision ke 3047 model cameras install krwaye hai , nvr k1 hai. Mobile app me video quality theek theek hi aa rhi hai. Sub stream ki setting maximum 720p krne ka hi option aa rha tha.
Cameras to 4k hai lekin waha pe sub stream 720 hi aa rha hai maximum. Ise mai kese increase kr skta hu.
Kya agar nvr k2 lagata to us me substream me 1080p ja isse jiada ka option aata ja usme vi maximum setting 720p ki hi hoti hai ?

Sir,
If i access yesterday's video which is stored in DVR Harddisk through my "mobile Hik-Connect app" , am i accessing mainstream or substream ?
To explain a bit more, mainstream is high fps & sustream is low fps. If i access yesterdays playback from hdd, through my mobile, The playback video will be high fps or low fps ?

My problem is while I take yesterday's playback through mobile, some colour patches occur in video ( like old video cassette fungus) . But if we see live-view through hik-connect app, visuals are very clear. Any help on this problem ? I suspect bitrate as a problem.

सर जी मेरा दूसरा सवाल ये है के अगर कस्टमर केअर से मैं कुछ प्रोब्लेम सॉल करने को कहता हूं तो मुझे कस्टमर केअर कहते है अपना dvr pc या लैपटॉप से कनेक्ट करके डिवाइस असक्सेस दीजिये लेकिन मेरे पास् pc या लैपटॉप नही है उसके लिए मैंने अपने मोबाइल पे इंटरनेट एक्स्प्लोर पे ip एडरेस डाल कर dvr मोबाइल पर असक्सेस किया लेकिन मैं प्ले बैक करता हु तो your cable not connect दिखाता है उसके लिए कुछ कैबल या कनेक्टर्स है क्या ? अगर है तो बताये

Sir, muze mere bungalow ke liye 5 cameras lene hain, 50 meter distance is sufficient for 3 dome cameras & 80 meter for 2 bullet camera. to aaj ke date me konse behatar hain or uske liye konsa DVR ya NVR lagau.

सर जी मेरा hikvision का dvr है और माईक लगाया हुआ है कैमरा नंबर 1 पे लेकिन प्रोब्लम ये है कि मैं जब भी प्लेबैक देखता हूं तो आवाज़ (साउंड) नही आती है उसके लिए मुझे dvr बार बार रिबूट करना पड़ता है उपाय बताए सर आलरेडी unmute है और वीडियो और ऑडियो किया हुआ है
