Hi, I was wondering if you can cure Lyme disease by seeing a holistic doctor?

I’m reading a book right now by an author that had Lyme disease and got rid of it. The book is called “The Christians Guide To Holistic Health” by David Sandstrom ND. Just purchased the book today on kindle and it’s great so far :)

A ND once told me essential oils can cure cancer, lol.

Never heard a NMD say essential oils cure cancer maybe the one you say but majority don’t agree with that statement. Essential oils can help aid the process of recovery by decreasing stress, providing relaxation, has some anti-cancer properties and other health benefits if used correctly and bought organic high quality oils. But definitely not curing cancer just using oils.

"Naturopathic Doctors" are not really medically trained. They are not medical doctors. They are frauds and delusional people who cannot see that the wool has been pulled over their eyes. What they that is good is redundant to real medical professionals and what they do that is unique is dangerous.

@@kyle2290 Naturopathy is an healthcare system that focuses on the prevention of sickness rather than suppression of disease symptoms. There is no quackery in foundation of this philosophy and it is well established that dietary and lifestyle modification can have a significant effect on the treatment and management of chronic illness. One can argue that quackery in the Naturopathic world occurs due to lack of regulation imposed by the allopathic medical system and lack of significant founding for researches. After all, big studies required big money and the Naturopathic healthcare system has no pharmaceutical economical support.

@@falsul96 Nah bro. You're wrong. Prevention is important. Lifestyle is important. Nutrition is important. Naturopathy is not those things. It's pseudoscience. You don't know what you're talking about.

    • @falsul96

@@kyle2290 That's a very bold statement to make. I had the chance to study Naturopathy and I can tell you that Herbalism, Nutrition and lifestyle intervention are the core learning in this preventative, proactive healthcare practice. Additionally to that you are also exposed to heavy learning about Anatomy, biology, chemistry pharmacology to the same extent that Allopathic health care practitioners are exposed to.And learning how to study the evidence based medical literature is a must if you wanna pass the 4 years. With all this said, There are a few practices that I cannot agree with, including homeopathy and Ozone therapy, however these malpractices should not disregard completely the philosophy of the Naturopathic health care system which is imbedded in a proactive approach to disease rather than reactively respond to a symptom. (Just as an example: You don't prescribe antibiotics but you work on improving Innate immunity, Secretory IgA, reduce inflammation and improve metabolic elimination pathways to help prevent further frequent infections.) Hope this will widen your vision on modern medicine and remember that in order to have an objective opinion you need to expose yourself to both sides of the story.

@@falsul96 Believe me, I have. You're wrong. I don't care if you spent four years on how the earth is flat. ND school is not equivalent to medical school.
