"You don't have to be an Alim, but don't remain a Jahil"...👍
🫡💯
In truth.
Wow😂
Story of Andalusia deserves a library chat sheikh
I agree
A couple library chats probably :)
Agreed! Also, I would love to know the life of Muwaiya. 25 years as head of Damascus with no revolts? I’m sure we can benefit
Your people Luv You!!!
I would love a detailed series on andalusia
REALISE this about Shaykh YQ: Coin collector, linguist, historian, master of beneficial titbits and tangents , deep sea diver, a foodie (especially ice cream)..... truly MIND BOGGLING!
Masha'Allah alhamdulillah.
BTW I hope I haven't missed out anything 😅
I believe that he is an engineer. a hafid al Quuran he is specialized in hadith from Madjna.. He did his phd on Ibn Taymiyya- he confronted Tony Blair with the lie about mass weapons in Iraq during a lecture , he is a great orator , examlple for how to speak up , clear and blunt when needed anti- sugarcoating. I admire his style and attitude; his series about the seerah of the Prophet is very very good. He is gem mashaAallah
@@assalaamu-alaykum yes on top of all these! Masha'Allah alhamdulillah
Hahaha
@@assalaamu-alaykum love you brother 👍
Al-Shiek Yasir Qadhi is truly a gem💎 to the Muslim Ummah...Maa Shaa ALLAAH...ALHAMDULILLAAH 💖
May Allah reward the Sheikh for his efforts!
Ameen
Amen
Ameen
Ameeen
Time flies when I listen to you Shaik. Need more and more library chats. Really love the way he presents the topics..
Yes !!! The Guy is good
And he is doing this lecture just from memory..masha Allah..
Very interesting. As a revert, I just want to correct something: pork doesn't taste bad, I never liked pork ribs, but ham and smoked ham, for instance, or bacon, actually taste quite good. I used to eat ham sometimes, it was practical and tasted very good with noodles. Nonetheless, put aside the divine prohibition, it is a risky meat (can have parasites) and there is almost always nitritis added to ham, which is very detrimental for the health.
I think Muslims couldn't bear to eat pork as it goes against the divine order, not specifically because of the taste. My 2 cts. Otherwise great insights, I'm French but never went to Spain
Wow good job brother, stay strong!
Correcto. It can be very tasty and essential to many southern recipes because of its unique flavoring. The problem with the meat is the health concerns not the flavor or smell.
I do recommend for sheikh to make couple of lessons about The Rise and Fall of Andalusia 🍁🕋
Jazak Allah khair sheikh. Sitting at home and experiencing talk at university level. I'm blessed Alhamdulillah
Whack info. Listen to real scholars, not these phd fools.
@@kamaareddy5632 may you be guided to truth
This was a rollercoaster of emotions but ultimately so heart-breaking. But I really do believe that our ummah will return to unity and strength. We need these lessons and reminders often. JazakAllah Khair, may Allah swt increase you in beneficial ilm and allow us to benefit greatly from you, ameen
I absolutely love when a lecturer knows so much about a topic, so much so they can go off on a tangent on the smallest piece of information
Masha Allaah. I was quite stressed about my college exams and my intention was to watch some videos to get ready for the exam. All of a sudden I saw the title of this video. I previously listened about this topic in a series lectures in Somali by a Somali Sheikh known (Sh. Mustafe Haji Ismail) some years ago. And then I clicked to listen few minutes to get the general idea and to refresh my memory. Masha Allah I couldn't stop watching the whole video and not only that I am going to watch this again and again in sha Allah.
Jazakallahu khayran Sheikhunal fadil.
A brother from 🇨🇦
I’m watching it today (though I’ve watched it severally ) to give a talk on the “Rise and fall of Andalusia “ among my fellow Muslim medical students in my college of Medicine tomorrow, Sunday 4th of December 2022. This is a great talk and I pray May Allah accept it from me and it a reason why many brethren learn more about the religion and become a good Ambassadors of Islam. Aaamin
We don’t learn from history 😭 SubhanaAllah goosebumps and tears thru the lecture 💔 May Allah bless our shaykh for always enlightening us with best of best
Andalusian Muslims defeated the Vikings. What a time was that!
If all victories and defeats were caused by Allah , what is it that we are actually doing ourselves ? , isn't Allah doing everything for us ?
My favorite historical period, by one of my fav lecturers. Barakallah to all those that made this possible. Abdulrahman truly needs an animation and a multiple part movie. What makes it fascinating is it's based off a true story, it ain't fiction.
May Allah preserve and protect you for years to come Ameen
My beloved sheick, who shaped my view of understanding of various issues, may Allah reward You in this world and that world.
Maybe good to know from a Berber who is from the same region as Abdu Rahman I:
1. Berbers speak Tmazight (تْمَزٍغْتْ) and call themselves Tmazight. We don't call ourselves berber except if we talk in a Western language.
2. Just like we are still called Berber, a word going back centuries (if not more) ago. We still call all Western people Romans and not European or American or whatever. The word Roman can also mean kafir, even though we have both words in our vocabulary.
3. Abdu Rahman hid in Temsaman Morocco where his Berber tribe is from and where he hid amongst his family. Abdelkrim Al Khattabi, the famous anti-colonial fighter, is from a tribe that's really close to the city Temsaman around the area of the city Al Hoceima. Abdelkrim Al Khattabi is from the same category of anti-colonial fighters as Umar Al Mukhtar, Abdelkader Al Jazairi and imam Shamil.
A person from our tribe (which is also around the area of Temsaman) did an ancestry test and it came out that around a quarter of our ancestors were from Al Andalus.
This sheikh is just a treasure full of knowledge. May Allah swt preserve and bless Sheikh Yasir Qadhi and his loved ones.
Jazakallahu Khairan Shaykh Yasir Qadhi.
The pillars of that Grand Mosque of Cordoba were world famous .
I visited granada, cordoba, seville, ronda, gilbralter, benal madina and malaga. My trip took me back to the time especially when I entered Cordoba Masjid, but I became very emotional when the Police at the gate told me make sure you don't pray inside as it's not allowed ,I went in and there was a Catholic service going on.
Truly does deserve a Movie or a Series.
Prince escapes, and age of 21 founds his own kingdom and dynasty that rivals the Abbasids.
This was the best hour spent on youtube - Sheikh Yasir sparked so many dimensions for me to research about Andalusia, jazak Allah
At work during lunch, I sit quietly and attentively whilst listening to this shaykh! Never disappoints.
মাশাআল্লাহ শায়েখ 💖
I love your passion sheikh, but I lived in Spain for 7 years and I can pretty confidently say that the reason there are legs of jamón hanging in bars and terrazas is because jamón ibérica (cured pork) is essentially the traditional Spanish bar-snack. Wild boar are plentiful in Spain, Portugal and France and have been a staple for thousands of years, more so than cattle, as the terrain is too irregular for pasture. Other than that (and a few other forgiveable misconceptions) I loved the talk. :)
The books he mentioned:
Harvey’s book about “Muslims Spain “
Mariah rosa menocal “The ornament of the world “
On the way to Seville now Sheikh ! Wish you were here to guide us and walk us through ! May Allah always bless you abundantly!
Sheikh I love your library chats, especially on the history. Please do more of those. If you can some on Mughals, ottomans, mumluks, Salahudeen (ayubbids)
others are going to be fun hopefully, but damn. The ottomans' one will be ugly.

Marvelous historical and inspirational lessons. I can't express my gratitude for this.
Subhanallah...humbled that sheikh knows about Martin Luther. Bc I grew up Lutheran. He knew about the 95 thesis. Subhanallah
Fantastic Dr., coin collection is a good hobby.
It would be interesting to be able to reach out to this Sheikh from this African end, Nigeria.
Just had a week tour last month! Word cant describe it, its the history of Islamic civilisation brings both tear of joy and sorrow. Its the place where Islam was fully established and exterminated!
Alhamdulillah I've been to andalusia and visited all the Islamic places.
love history!!!!!!!! we need more sheikh please
I really like YQ's lectures because it is supported by historical facts
So interesting mashaAllah
The glorious past: Andalusia
Shaykh YQ's quote: you don't have to be an Aalim (scholar) but don't be a jaahil (an ignorant)!

May Allah(Jal) bless Sheikh YQ with more knowledge and wisdom to present to the Ummah the unknown facts which the Ummah is not aware and not proud of them..
I agree ...it does indeed.
Amazing historical descriptions. May Allah protect us beings a Muslim in US soil.
I was really impressed by the historical knowledge shown by Sheik Yasir. So much so that I want to read about as much history as I can but not sure where to begin. Does anyone here have any recommendations? Doesn't have to be limited to Islamic history cause I want to also what the non-islamic world was doing at the time when islam was flourishing.
Salam, if you are interested in history, the textbook "Traditions and Encounters" is a decent place to start. It is a world history book written by two Americans, but they did an excellent job finding and utilizing sources (is. Not just US and Western Europe). The books "The Crusades through Arab Eyes" and "Muslims in Spain" are also good. Books by Hough Kennedy are well done too (esp. "The Prophet [SAAW] and the Age of the Caliphates"). I also recommend "Contending Visions" just to have a decent history of how non-Muslim Westerners have studied the Islam, Arabs, and the Middle East.
@@arieltheisen9325 walekumsalaam, thanks so much for the recommendations. I'll definitely read them and hopefully gain some knowledge. Jazakallah khair.
