Cute, fun, and easily made with just a few supplies--Teachers do deserve the very best, and a heartfelt, handmade gift is perfect. Thanks, Allie and Anna, for sharing these fun ideas with us.
I found your channel while looking for ideas of something to make my kids teachers for end of year gifts. Teachers work so hard the deserve much more then I could ever give. I loved to get my kids involved in making teacher gifts too since their teachers do so much for them. I’m so happy I found your channel it has so much to offer. I appreciate your creativity and talent. You taught me something new. I love to craft and make craft videos too. I hope we can connect and learn more from each other.
neat idea......... i was thinking how about adding the book marker, a beaded piece of jewelry ( like a bracelet, pair of earrings or a beaded necklace) with a journal and an eye glass/face mask holder in a coffee mug with a bottle of personalized coffee creamer or hot chocolate mix or hot chocolate bombs?......i live in India and in school and college we used to play this game called Secret Santa and the sad thing mainly in school for me was that i never got any gifts from the people who used to get my name...... and i was not really picky about the gifts i got as long as it came from that person's heart and if that person didn't know what to get for me, the easiest thing for them to have done was to just buy me a bar of chocolate or bag candies.....even a simple flower would be fine for me because i am just that type of person who just would appreciate a gift even if the gift may not be to my taste at least that person did try to give me something.......but well i never got any gifts from my Secret Santa in school but in my pre university college ( i did my pre university and degree education in an all girls college), one of my classmates actually gave me a simple candle which i felt was very thoughtful of her......and in my degree another classmate gave me a bar of chocolate and in the same year, even the lecturer decided to take part in the game and everyone in my class wanted to get her as their person to whom they could be Secret Santa.... even my best friend was like "i wish i get Bridget ma'am as my person to give a gift to" and i just smiled at my friend.....and when we got to pick a slip with the person's name, i actually ended up getting my lecturer's name and my best friend was like "Becky, who did you get? show me!" and i was so speechless because i didn't know what to get my lecture but i just silently showed my best friend and she was like "WHAT! YOU GOT BRIDGET MA'AM? YOU LUCKY DAME! I'LL TRADE YOU MY SLIP FOR YOURS" and i was like "shut up! you be happy with the person you have" and the other classmates and even the lecturer ended up finding out because my friend yelled out that i got my lecturer's name.......... and that time i never knew anything about beading or beaded jewelry.......so i let my mum decide what she thought was worth getting my lecturer and my mum got a pair of Christmas bells for my lecturer.........and i gave it to her the very next day and she actually appreciated it a lot.......i wish i knew about this then....it would have made my life easy.............. But i actually got to know about beaded jewelry only in 2010 when my parents decided to buy me a simple box of seed beads from the U.S (because they had gone to visit my elder brother who was studying there) and when they came back, they told me to make something out of it......these beads were some random seed beads they got and when i asked them what they wanted me to make because i didn't know what to do with them, but my mum was like "Just string them all together into a necklace" and when i did, i actually didn't like the stringing method mainly because of the seed beads.....but then i still tried and then i decided to look into the craft in more detail and MY GOD i was actually amazed at what things one can make out of beads and i even found an old broken rosary with it's cross missing and then i remembered that i had a stash of broken stuff in my room and finally i found a cross from another broken rosary and i ended up repairing that other one.......then one of my mum's carnelian necklaces broke and she asked me to repair it and since i didn't know how to knot the necklace, i decided to use some small red beads that my mum had got for me for the necklace.......my mum was not happy because she wanted the necklace to look like the one that was broken with the knots and stuff, but i just told her that i really didn't know how to knot and that i felt that it was safer for me to use beads that looked like knots in place of knots because i was still learning...........and now i am actually lagging behind with all the jewelry techniques because i have to actually teach myself and then practice....plus i have to design my own things and to be honest, i actually started with bead weaving and it's only recently that my mum agreed to buy needles for me because she actually saw how i was working without needles and she was like "Rebecca you will spoil your eyes at this rate" and i told her "i know but you me that if i needed anything, i needed to buy it with the money i earn and since i don't work to earn, this is what i have to do because needles don't grow on trees you know just like money doesn't grow on trees" and my mum was like "I WILL BUY YOU YOUR NEEDLES AND THAT'S FINAL"..... so finally have needles to use....... lol
