I have been looking for a quality AH.1W or 1Z USMC model in 1/72 scale for a long time. The FoV seemed to be the best one out there, but as you say, they've been out of production for ages. Well in a stroke of great luck, Aiken's found exactly 1 of these hidden in the back while doing inventory in January. Lord knows how long it was back there. I immediately took it off their hands, and the best part? They had it at original pricing. No big markup for rarity or desirability. It came in a few days ago, and I am 100% pleased with it. Love the removable ordnance, and how well it and the rotors stick on. I had a FoV CH47 and it was always dropping blades. They just didn't fit very tight, so i replaced it with a CH47 from Corgi last year. I love helicopters but so few companies make them. Just got Corgi's new SH-3A Sea King and can also recommend it. It has a lot of features like the FoV, including opening door, pilots, rolling wheels, and option for blades up for flight or blades hanging down for landed. You have about the only videos on FoV helis on here as well.
Mine just arrived in todays mail but it's bolted to a base and I don't have a phillips head screwdriver small enough to undo the screws :( And mine has 4 rotor blades. Weird.
@@varunchristopherfernandohe made this model wrong, or mayby he take out two blades. 4 blade rotor is in Z model. www.mohock.co.nz/forces-of-valor-85074-172-bell%E2%84%A2ah-1z%C2%AEviper%E2%84%A2

Weird.
@@slackerman4161 All good, my neighbour had one and it now sits proudly on my bookshelf :)
Perhaps it is an AH-1W with it's two blade rotor. AH-1Z has a four bladed rotor system.
Joe Biernacki , it is an AH-1Z... Two blades aren't mounted on the model....
