That's one thing I felt about the X6 ... it was designed for motorway cruising. Feels like a spaceship floating and you can easily be at 100mph and not realise it's too comfortable.

I think its genuinely useful when you talk about the difference between sport and m-sport, I wish there was an easy video to show them all when I was looking to buy my car

I think you should talk about the feature(which you have to pay for extra) drive record system which uses in built cameras as dash cam for 40 seconds of video through all cameras in an event of accident. Also you can do the recording on demand while driving by just pressing the surround camera button in the crafted centre console.
I think it’s really cool and also useful.
I like it when you go into the detail on the different versions and packs and what you do and don’t get - cause it’s always so complicated !

In terms of boot capacity and rear seats space it does not compare that well to the competitors but is far superior in other aspects such as material quality, etc.

There is no optional Bang & Olufsen high-end sound system for this generation. Bowers & Wilkins does it currently for BMW.

Matt - you might consider why manufacturers put a high 'beam' across the lower lip of the trunk - the one that you drag bags across when loading - it's there for a very good structural reason. It's all about safety and torsional rigidity. Take it away and you have jelly!

Holy crap that's a huge car! When Matt is standing next to it (11:20), the roof line is ABOVE his shoulders..! If an average-size woman were standing on the other side, he wouldn't be able to see her across the roof..!! Ridiculous! Damn I want one... The M50i though, with the big-ass V8 to go along with the big-ass car! Sadly, though, they don't make a 2-door version; I know, they don't sell well, but a shop called ArmorTech did a one-off conversion a while back (you can find pics online with a quick search) and it looks SO COOL... If I had one and could afford it, I'd definitely find the best shop I could to do that conversion...

I have the M40i version of this car, happy to say its one of the best cars i have owned in a long time!
It is very very practical with its 360 cameras you will forget the need for the rear window for reverse parking.
Drive is smooth, over bumps deals well. Interior is well built and solid. Looks absolutely stunning from the outside so I think its a personal preference. Overall a great car to have in my opinion.
This is the first time I have heard about heated or cooled cupholders and that sounds like an absolutely great feature!

In South Africa I have seen many X6 but they are rich people only so I cannot go in it. The X6 ithing is a but of a wired looking car anyway but you reviewed it well. Thank you sir.

Clearly people take these off-road a lot, if you have been living under a rock, Russia is one of the best examples of that, a lot of X5s end up going off-road and they’re good when they have off-road tires, just as capable of all the 4x4s, tires matter, the point is that yes they need to be capable of going off-road!
@@aidenp5768 A) this car came out this year and B) most people in Russia have no chance of owning this car and c) the suspensions on it just are not made for off roading. You can get whatever tyres you want but this won't ever compare to a land rover

Umm.. well let’s see, first of all it doesn’t matter if this just came out, BMW has been making SUVs for 20 years now and this 2020 X6 follows the same concept as the original X5, and second I own an X5 E53 - With air suspension and I do take it off-road and ground clearance is raised to almost 10 inches, which is basically the same amount of clearance of a Range Rover of the comparable year. 3rd I take my X5 off-road with friends and it’s Jeeps, Rovers etc, I personally have Air suspension, people you see on UA-cam off-roading X5s are doing it wrong if that’s what your basing your comment from, they all have M sport packages, M spring suspension, (sport tires) mine doesn’t. I don’t wanna here anyone say some bull shit like they know what they’re talking about like they have a clue. Range Rover makes better off-road SUVs for sure, but stacking them with its competitors it’s not even a huge difference, Range Rover Sport VS X5 in 2020 they’re super similar off-road. The newest X5 is more capable than any of its previous models. Locking diffs, 11 inches of ground clearance, off-road tire options are now available, under body protection, hill descent control which all sounds familiar because all this tech is found in the rover. BMW has caught up, let’s not forget BMW use to own Rover so they know what they’re doing. Depends on what model BMW, and depends on options.

I can live with the front BUT BMW missed bigtime with the rear of this car. And then proceeded to put a similar rear on the 2 Series GC.

If you order the Bowers & Wilkins Soundsystem you get a nice tweeter on the dashboard as well as the B&O then.

Why won’t you think about it.. let’s be real, everyone is buying SUVs without using the SUV for what it’s meant for. People buy SUVs just to claim they have one. Range Rover, G wagons, X5s or Escalades are great examples of people who buy them because they’re fancy. Most SUVs don’t go off-road, don’t use trunk to its max capacity and the headroom doesn’t matter because kids or teens would be back there and realistically headroom is great in the X6 for regular people. Rarely anyone over 6ft will get in the back. X6 is meant to be even cooler and style preferences or to be different which is an excuse because how many X5s are on the road now!

The BMW X6 M50D is a brilliant car and also I love those cream leather seats, heated,cooling and reclining. Absolutely a car to die for and it's super fast paced and oil burning diesels still have a future. Brilliant car and encourages you to work hard in life.
I know this is a year old but can I ask why you think this car is so great? It's worse than the normal cars on road (because of the rasied suspension), it's not very good offroad, it's more expensive, uses more fuel and it's not very practical (compared to the normal suv). So what is so great about it?

9:40 looks comfortable considering I’ve been put into a 2018 Jetta trunk with a friend to get 7 people to breakfast. 15.7 cubic feet or 445 liters in a Jetta trunk, better than an S-Class!

Got the new 1 series coming in 2 months, if the corona doesn’t delay it again. I’ve got the tech pack, which includes the digital drivers display, given that it’s not as nice as Mercedes or Audi’s system, is it possible BMW would release an over the air update to make it nicer? Or would that not work at all?

X6 and all SUV-coupes only take disadvantages from every form factor. You take SUV for comfortable second row, but you don't get it in X6. And meanwhile you don't get coupe's handling. And for all that you have to pay extra. What's wrong with this world?
I guess design for most people can cut for less space, but X6 is ugly at the back as ffff....

Because the market wants more SUVs, I think the X3 will take that from the 3 Series.
I think the X1/X3 are taking over the 3 series now. People buy SUVs for no reason, SUVs use to to be for rough roads and need to go places without getting stuck, now every SUV is adapting to regular roads because people buy SUVs not for its actual purpose.
