Yeah, right... 20 millions people in congo before Leopold. Dou you realise that ww1 made 15 to 20 millions death? Do you realy think a few thousand paramilitary with some local militias could kill 15 millions people spread accros this huge, non mapped territory? The estimation of 20 millions people is part of a campaign of propaganda by the British that wanted to claim that territory. British counted people living near streams arround the congo and then extrapolated that density of population to the whole territory, wich is realy stupid since cities and villages are almost always build near streams... That was definitely a rought occupation but as I saw it in an other comment : use some common sense!
