Subbie owner here! We have a subaru XV that is currently clocked at 68km sa ODO niya. Subarus are vv different compared to your toyotas and hondas. My tip for is to routinely check and never skip out on maintenance sa subarus, they are very very needed. And when modding, mod the parts consciously as these engines are super capable but just takes a different approach.

Malakas sa gas kumpara sa iba like regular honda/toyota. mas mahal din maintenance/parts niya pero masaya naman ako performance at comfort niya. Sa madaling salita, di siya para sa mga may tight budget. Reliable naman sakin, di ko lang alam sa na rebuild na. Lalo na at di mo brand new nakuha kaya di mo alam pinagdaanan niyan

Magpalit ka ng oil pan na may baffles at oil pick up, ang lay out ng EJ is pahalang so nagdi drip talaga ng mas matagal ang langis sa oilpan at naiipon dun lang sa oil pan. Kung normal driving lang at hindi pinanghahatak masyado ang makina ok lang ang stock na oil pan at oil pick up basta bantayan mo lang ang level ng oil kasi turbo sumusunog talaga ng langis yan. Kung pinangkakarera mo yan or heavy ang pagdadrive mo, suggestion na magpalit ka ng oil pan at oil pick up. MAgpa import ka ng IAG parts
maghanap ka boss ng shop na nag specialize sa subaru jan sa pinas.. ok naman yan basta alagaan mo lang and keep up with the maintenance.. BUT keep in mind, hindi yan tulad ng honda or toyota.. importante jan ang tune sa mga power mods.. iresearch mo din muna ang reliability mods ng EJ engine bago power mods. hindi kasi basta basta yan. kaya madaming nasisira na ganyan kasi salpak ng salpak ng kung ano anong mods tapos walang proper tune tapos iuupak, e hindi ganon yan.. you also have to learn how to properly drive it, hindi ung pedal to the metal agad and DO NOT LUG THE ENGINE. good luck paps!

SUBIE 4life..... ok naman shortblock nyan semi close deck block... pero mas matibay yung CLOSE DECK BLOCK WITH FORGED PISTON AND RODS ( MANLEY) BASTA maganda subaru alagaan mo lang at aalagaan ka nyan more power
