    1833 in History:
    When the builders began to develop Clifton Terrace, it was a different world. The British Empire was in its pomp after the victory at the Battle of Waterloo (1815).
    Andrew Jackson was sworn in for his second term as US President and a settlement was established in the Illinos Territory that would go on to become Chicago.
    Closer to home in 1833, delegates from the home nations call for the abolition of Slavery throughout the empire and in September of that year three year old Isabelle II became Queen of Spain.
